Canada: S. Sudanese student faces deportation for ‘lying’

April 23, 2016 (JUBA) - A South Sudanese student is being held in Canada and could face deportation after he was discovered to be 10 years older than his classmates.

Jonathan Nicola, 29, the Mirror reported, lied about his age when he arrived on a student visa from South Sudan before enrolling in a school in Windsor, Ontario.

“He claimed to be 16 and starred for the school basketball team but has now been exposed and is facing deportation,” the newspaper reported in its Sunday edition.

Nicola was reportedly caught out by his own fingerprint after he attempted to apply for another visa.

“Border agency officials were alerted to his deception after his thumb print linked back to another application made in 1986, and strangely enough the dates just didn’t add up,” it adds.

The court in Canada, on hearing Nicola’s case, reportedly ruled that he posed a flight risk and remains behind bars.

Canada’s border agency said Nicola, who plays basketball, could be deported as he misrepresented himself when he applied for his student visa. He is currently in custody in Windsor and faces a date with an immigration review board on Tuesday.

      Alfredo pagani,

To use your own word; you must be the most stupid South Sudanese who look at SPLA as dinka and vice versa. Where in my post have you seen me mention the word "dinka". What I know is the young man about to be deported is a son of a powerful person in South Sudan. In South Sudan Without, without SPLA background fools like you won’t respect you.

      Alfredo christiani,

Eastern does not have any hatred for Dinka, but he does not like the fact that Dinka causes many troubles, killing people everyday for no reason and liar excessively to the world. With their shameless lies, Dinka placed the South Sudan in a great chaos.

        Thanks Bentiu Sudan,

Alfredo and his dinka people don’t want to hear the truth about their negative actions on other South Sudanese. Even if you dinkas claim that you died in millions to realize the country of South Sudan, that should be a license for you to lord over the other tribes in the country. I hate living in denial in the face of the glaring evidence!!

Hahaha, age Lying is very common in South Sudan; even those who have birth certificates often change the original Birthdays to younger ones.
Immigration countries have to dig deep to find the reality of so many Southerners.
