Sudanese official slams supporters of rebel alliance

February 25, 2012 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese presidential assistant Nafie Ali Nafie blasted those who are sympathetic with the Sudan Revolutionary Forces (SRF) rebel alliance saying they don’t represent any weight within the Sudanese society.

Nafie made the remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a new land port in the Nile River state.

“We dissociate ourselves from those who sold their religion and their homelands cheaply and became agents of agents,” the Sudanese official said.

“Those who are seeking victory from Juba alliance and the alliance of Darfur and Abdel-Aziz al-Hilu and Malik Agar; Those who made this alliance their masters and leaders do not represent the people of Sudan in many or few” he added.

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) is fighting SRF rebel groups on several fronts namely Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile.

Last year clashes erupted in South Kordofan and Blue Nile leading to the displacement of thousands of civilians.

Al-Hilu was deputy governor of South Kordofan but after gubernatorial elections, which he lost to incumbent governor Ahmed Haroun, he cried foul and said he would not recognise the results. Shortly afterwards he became leader of Sudan People Liberation Movement North (SPLM-N) fighters in the state which borders the newly created state of South Sudan.

Last September, Agar who was governor of Blue Nile was removed from his position by Bashir following fighting between his forces and SAF.

In both cases it is not clear what triggered the violence or who started it with SPLM-N and Khartoum trading blame.

Sudan is accusing Juba of providing support to SPLM-N and even lodged several complaints with the United Nations Security Council in this regard.

Last year the leaders of Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), and the two factions of Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) of Abdel Wahid Al-Nur and Minni Minnawi have forged an alliance with SPLM-N.

Sudan says South Sudan coordinated the formation of the alliance for the sake of toppling its government.

No Cry yet!Dr Garang De Mabior said in 1988 that the must most being used as Mujaheddin are our brothers from Darfurs( Muralines)and our few from Nuba and Blue Nile and others from Angasena, and but I am glad they realized the marginalization at last. Our Blue Nile and Nuba mountains tried it and they have shown to the world that they have identity. I wish Darfur notice this problem in 1985!

Darkangle… Nafie ceremony of a new land port in the Nile River state is for you Arabs, not for Africans. Did you forget Arab racism? What about the genocide in Darfur, Nuba Mountains, and the Blue Nile, killing the indigenous people of Sudan every day! Do you know you Arabs came to Sudan by wiping Africans since Kushite Period when Nubians ruled as Pharaohs in their own right of Dynasty XXV?

Nafie Nafie Nafie it’s too early to cry and how could you lie like that. You were the one instigated the fraudulent scheme to rig election in favor of your crimial candidate Haroun. You have not leant from your mistakes yet, but you will soon. You can not compare yourself to Al-hilu, Agar, Al-Nur, Minnawi, or Ibrahim because they possess the proper values that every Sudanese person recognized them

Nafie hasn’t realized that the world has changed and we are not only going to kick him out of power but also out of Sudan. The SRF is not different than the Al-Andalus Revolution, but just matter of time.

We regret our ancestors were damn to let Arabs invade Egypt and Sudan (since Kushite Period when Nubians ruled as Pharaohs in their own right of Dynasty XXV) Arab Islamist used Islam as a trick to kill poor Africans so they can take over our resources. This is enough! The last genocide in (Darfur, Kordufun, and Blue Nile) is the reason Arabs must face fierce invasion! Nubians will Rule again. Thnx

You are right. History repeats itself which mean the Kingdom of Kuch is coming back and is going to be the "Republic of Kuch". The descendants of the Kushi (the Blue Nile, Abeyi, and Darfur people; and the Beja, Nubas, and Nubians) have finally risen.
