President Mayadit: Revisit your amnesties!!

By Luk Kuth Dak

November 26, 2011 — Those closer to me know that I have a compulsive appetite for some good news from the Republic of South Sudan – which is a rare commodity these days. Just at about every chance I get, I turn on the computer and hurry up to all of our news outlets hoping to find something that will lift my spirits.

Unfortunately, I’m always, almost out of luck. Today, the headlines in South Sudan News Agency were dominated by a tragic capture of a high ranking officer from the Sudan Peoples Liberation Army, along with forty five soldiers, by the so-called South Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army ( SSLM/A).

Now, I do not know about you, but am totally disgusted by these unanswered acts of evil displayed by some of those illiterate bullies, who, clearly, have no agenda of their own, but only follow what’s being dictated to them by their masters and pay roll managers in the capital of Sudan, Khartoum against their own blood.

In an arrogant statement, the lunatics in the so-called SSLM/A warned the citizens, oil workers and international organizations to get out of Mayom and Bentiu, respectively, before they launch the so-called “ Operation Ending Corruption.”

Really?

The truth of the matter is, there is corruption in South Sudan and, so in very many nations around the world including my own – the United States of American. The question is, does corruption justify putting the lives of innocent citizens in a harm way?

I don’t think so!

Thus, my former colleague at Malakal Senior Secondary School, Governor Taban Deng Gai was elected by the people of the Unity State. Their decision must be respected. But, if you do not like his policies, vote him out at the end of his tenure. That’s how democracy works, ladies and gentlemen of South Sudan.

In all, there comes a time when enough really is enough. As we all know, President Mayardit has extended his hands, time and time again, to the thugs to end hostilities. From Peter Gadeet, George Athur and others, who are going behind the backs of both the people of South Sudan and their elected officials, but to no avail. Clearly, the only language the skunked illiterates do understand, is the taste of their own medicine.

Mr. President, free the hands of the SPLA heroes. They will get the job done.

Mr. Dak, Many people agree with you on your assessment of the situation in the south. These buffoons, Peter Gadeet, George Athur and others, need to be erased. These groups are planing a coup d’etat against the government. Master mind(s) are Lam Akol, Okuk and Ramba and others in the army. They should be jailed and charge with treason against south Sudan government.

I love how precised you’re on this topic and straight to the point. I hope Kiir understands that not all his amnesties will be Favorly responded to. He’s a mellow person and this can be a problem sometimes. Others will perceive it as weakness and try to bank on it as it’s the case in Upper Nile & Unity State.

    Mr. Elijah

What a wasted name of a Holy Prophet. Be reminded that booing a thief that is caught red-handed, like the looters of the public fund which you proudly identify yourself with cannot even be classified as an insult, let alone the Treason word your are talking about. When the thieves [real traitors] go, as they now count their days, make sure to pack and leave WITH THEM.

Ambago, Luk Kuth is right man but I don’t agree with him for failing to name all the 13 corrupt ministers. His former colleague of Malakal High School is the most corrupt figure in gubernatorial position. But that is all anyway

The current pattern of ur nature contradict ur known records, what’s wrong? 1st: plse clarify the following: What’s ur country? Was ur 2ndary school in Shendi or Malakal? 2nd: u r not out of ssla’s box as they r extension of Nuer Militia (Anya nya 2) who were created and nurtured by DK and S. Manyang, respectively. Didn’t you serve with both former governors of UPS?

    Brother Philip,
You are dead wrong about your conception about Ustaz Luk. Luk Kuth Dak is a Southern Sudanese living in USA. Luk was admitted in Malakal secondary school, then transferred to Shendi after one year. Luk was a die…on knife of SPLA/M and never change his position.Yes, he was a press secretary of DK and Simon collectively, you can not shoot him, because, he was just a messenger.

Mr. Ambago, First, Mr. Dak had written brilliant article, and he deserved out gratitude. If you read his article you will agree with him regardless of your political stands. However, I have no tolerances for fools.Athor, Akol and there cohorts are unfit to be leaders. They all should be jailed and charge with treason against the government of south Sudan. FYI, my comments are not hearsay but facts.
