Sexually transmitted diseases and malnutrition prevalent in Rumbek survey

By Manyang Mayom

April 5, 2010 (RUMBEK) — Sexually transmitted diseases, malnutrition and lack of food harmfully affect Rumbek residents who participated a household health survey, a survey supervisor said.

Ms. Mary Akujur Mawat is a supervisor of Sudan Household Health Survey in Rumbek Central County. She said that they have been astonished by the experiences of the members of families they have met during the ongoing household health survey.

She said that women have shared with them their problems related to reproduction, citing miscarriages and sexually transmitted infections. She also said that there is general lack of food in most of the houses they have visited.

Ms. Akujur urged families to open up more to household health surveyors, explaining that the information given will help the government and other relevant institutions come to the help of people.

The Household Health Survey in Rumbek Central Country started on March 2, and will go on for 35 days.

You never analyse the truth and you always run your big mouth in national affairs. Goes around come s around, I only feel sorry that in your custom, people never mind about each other accept their own stomach. Selfish in the government is what the World can understand.

I doubt the STD per cent is hitting roughly at around 65% above and the malnutrition deficiency disease at around 35%. Jonglei is well known for reasons, let dopies prove me wrong.

Lord Jesus Christ, help these insane civilians of Rumbek from encountering themselves with Sexual Transmitted Diseases(STDs). I’m not going to talk about Malnutrition because it is something common in Southern Sudan.

I do really blame the so call the Government Of Southern Sudan(GOSS) including the head of GOSS and his associates because of misusing the funds. Diseases are affecting the Southern Sudanese Civilians, while people are talking about development and campaign which will not even succeed. I wish Southern Sudanese should have to join Arabs from the North. "If we Southern Sudanese people are not capable of governing ourselves or dethroning the Government of Northern Sudan, then it is good for us we Southerners to join the Government of Khartoum". There is a saying said that "if you are not able to defeat your enemy, then join him". So, Southern Sudan Government is like someone who is not able to defeat the enemy.

In this point, if we can not managed to defeat the enemy from the North, then why we don’t join it? Every year, Southern Sudanese Civilians are suffering and the leaders of the Southern are not curious about their own people. I believe with a good Government, Southern Sudanese Civilians should not suffering again at this time. We need our Southern Sudan civilians to stay healthy. By the way, "who is able to redeem us"? The only solution for Southern Sudanese people is to join the North. There is no Government in the South. Looting, dwindling or embezzling of money and lack of management is the key fundementals which are affecting the Southern Sudanese Civilians.

Don’t cry like unpaid prostitute, you people like to support Kiir running the worse leadership in South. Now would you beg Kiir to distribute condoms and some grain to your people? the answer is No let him continue his government and the truth will reveal itself. When we talk of new leadership everyone right from Bor to far side of north bar el gazel prove us wrong. So why would you shed tears like a lose tortoise. Get yourself straight with your tinny brains. Kiir is a biggest KILLER IN SOUTH. I advise you to direct your problems directly to him (tyrant), not GOSS without specific target.

        Dear Famous Logic Boy,

I understand your comment my dear, but what make me to comment in this article is because that the Civilians of Rumbek are not sexually addictive like the people of Equatoria. I don’t want what the United Nation guy from the Bangaldesh did to Equatorian man when the Bangaldesh man fuck the Equatorian man in Juba last year of 2008.

You deserve to join the basket of mental individuals on this forum, dinkas boy is one and you are another. Supporting Kiir is just like encouraging HIV in South. This papa has become the worse kill of my people in South. Come on ladies and gentleman, make use of your mind. Riek is much better than your papa, he is well recognized by arabs for shooting Bashir as bashir state last time. Riek has tried LRA peace and he does independent work unlike Kiir using someone’s image to block with his narrative side, how can you compared doctor with SPLA gorilla having zero political academic. Gatwech will assist you on this matter I doubt.

          Yes Dinka boy,

We dinka would not give up. we are the people that would lead southerners to their destination. Southerners will have no hope of liberty, freedom, if we handed South’s government to those collaborators. I think some Nuers dream of taking leadership away from Dinka, but they have to know that they can not governance good at all, because their history, their prominent leaders left Spla and joint our enemy that killed our people during the war. I therefore wanted these fellow brothers, to take a look at Dinka heros.

The first Dinka Leader was Deng NHial was killed by the people that did not like freedom. The folk that killed him were like those traitor Riek.

The Second leader is Abel Alier. I know most of people think that he was weak leader, when he left that post. but they have to know he did not want his people to fight against themselves that why he step down from the Post.

The Third Dinka leader was late DR.Garang. as we all know he was Dinka that really worked harder to fulfilled Deng’s dream. Even-though he did’n finish that mission, he believed another dinka man would still lead those weakest people to reach their dreams.

So I believe our Salve Kiir would never handed our South to North Sudan. The people of Sudan know that giving leadership to Nuers would bring destruction if Nuers folks really wanted to governance the South, then we will give them after Ref. 2011. but not at this crtical time.

When a dog steal some food in a container, it just squeezed its head properly to get the smelly food, but when the dog heard the foot steep, its just want to jump up and down running thinking that it will throw away that container;eventually, it will end up being killed because he can not see someone who want to spear it.

I absolutely know that you are like dog who put it head on the container attempting to get food in the container.

Why your mind is so narrow like this about corruption, food, money, and be the number one enemy lover(DC).

Please ,you will be kill while your head get stuck in the container. Thanks

Not sit behind computer and write nonsense all the time. We need Change to come in 2011 because since signing of comprehensive peace agreement CPA in 2005 up to date no any progress in the south

Shut your mouth and grow up, do you see the situation in South under Kiir as your comedy on TV? If Obama can be call nigga in white house who is Kiir to resist criticism in South Sudan Parliament? In democratic world criticism inside the parliament is free as a long as your exposing the negative side of the greedy. Some people like you deserve to attend political training in debate tactics. The situation in Rumbek dear brothers is not caused by Kiir directly.Do you know why people in Lakes rejected Lt general Daniel Awet?categorically,it is because of this situation. Now let fools who think that our CDRS during the war, should be rewarded, think over this disaster.Infact all our CDRS,did not have any military expertise, all military achievements were done by young officers who were mostly secondary schoolleavers, who got good training at a right age with good intellect from the institude of revolutionary war studies. When we fought most battles, almost all our CDRS were either fondling, hugging & even lying with their better halves,Psychologically, they were not with us ,physically, they used to stay at a very long distances from the battle fields.More over ,they used to marry using bulls contributed as rations to the SPLA by the citizens. Now do you want us to reward them for doing all those evil things. Now is the time to tell them no.

Solution to these issues will come with time, I strongly discourage those ladies/girls who commit abortion when they feel that they are pregnant.

A Local news like this should be coverage by a local media for example the radio Rumbek but not in the national media as you did right here .I think every county or state in the south Sudan has a similar situation as Rumbek centre county has although, they didn’t report it in the national media .

Any way, I am not against you of being fair and free journalist but I have to say that enjoy a reporting of these kind of news as long as you can and put in your mind that you are wrongly advertising your own people to rest of the world.

get me right my dear and thank you
