Kiir urges Uganda to lead recognition of independent South Sudan

By Ngor Arol Garang

November 25, 2009 (JUBA) — General Salva Kiir Mayardit, First Vice-President of the Republic of Sudan and President of the semi-autonomous region of Southern Sudan, has on Wednesday 24, in both Moyo and Adjumani Districts of Uganda, urged Ugandans to lead recognition of the independent state of South Sudan if referendum votes favor secession.

"If referendum favors southern secession from the North to become an independent state, South Sudanese in Uganda expects Uganda to take the lead in recognizing South Sudan as an independent country if South Sudanese voted for secession in the 2011 referendum," Kiir said.

The Sudanese First Vice President, who left Juba for Uganda for bilateral talks on border dispute, after an official invitation from Ugandans President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, further said, Ugandans and Southern Sudanese are the same and one people.

"Ugandans and South Sudanese are people of one common objective; and that they have to work together so that they get set goals," he said.

Commenting on the issue of border disputes which necessitated his visit, he said misunderstanding arising from territorial rivalry should not divert us from the joint Southern Sudanese and Ugandan vision.

"I think we can find solutions to whatever misunderstanding that might have occurred," he commented saying South Sudanese in Northern Uganda and elsewhere in the country, should live with Ugandans as one people without giving in for ill separation, the President said. The same applies to Ugandans in any part of Southern Sudan, Kiir added.

Kiir is further said that the border conflict and insecurity in southern Sudan started after the peace agreement peace in 2005; it was not there during the war.

"Not only in Moyo (northern Ugandan near Sudan’s border) that we are having problems; there are also tribal wars in Southern Sudan; all these conflicts are happening because someone is behind them, their aim is just to create chaotic situations for reasons best known to them, that means there are some people who are working day and night so that there is instability in South Sudan. Let us not allow it. Let nobody agitate you so that you quarrel amongst yourselves," he stressed.

Kiir who seems turning his back on Sudan’s unity after four year of a peace deal signed with the National Congress Party in 2005, tried during his European tour to campaign in favor of separation and to draw EU support for southern Sudan independence.

However, last month his government dismissed remarks where he called for southern Sudan independence describing vote for a united Sudan as voting for "second class" citizenship.

Ugandan President, Yoweri Kaguta Musevesni, stressed that what is happening in the border area is not a dispute, "it is simply misunderstanding which will be handled and solved by the brothers and sisters of our two sister countries amicably." He is further reported having said misunderstanding

If your uncle Mr shareholder keeps visiting Uganda he will gain some skills and knowledge from experience politicians in Uganda. He should consult Museveni whenever he need political advices not only because South and Uganda have sommon goals but because Museveni has long experiences in politics. However there is one threat Kiir must be aware of when attempting to consult Ugandan government. Next time let him think wise either go by bus or motorcycle otherwise if he keep ignoring his old helicopter and he will taste the bitter. No matter what happen we have lots of hungry leaders who can do better than him government of sick services.

Uganda blames South Sudan officials for President’s plane crash scare
Salva Kiir has returned home to South Sudan
          by Geof Magga

The President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, has finally returned home several hours after the plane he was traveling in narrowly escaped a crash.
Salva Kiir, Wednesday morning survived a plane crash, as he was returning home to Sudan from Uganda, after one of the tyres of the plane in which he was travelling burst.
The pilot managed to control the plane and stopped it on the runway.
Salva Kiir yesterday met with Ugandan President, Museveni, over a border dispute. The meeting took place at Moyo town at the boarder of the two countries.
After the plane’s mishap, Salva Kiir was quickly evacuated and rushed back to Acholi Inn Hotel in Gulu town where he had spent the night.
Early this afternoon, Kiir and his entourage were escorted under tight security by the Ugandan soldiers back to Gulu Airfield. They took off at 2:30 p.m aboard a Uganda-registered charter plane.
The Antonov plane that was involved in the accident is grounded at Gulu Airfield. Engineers from southern Sudan are expected in Gula to repair the damaged plane.
Uganda says it is in no way responsible for what happened to the plane.

Yes, we know Uganda is a tourist country but this alone will never justify all this flirtations!!!. Common objective, common vision, and the list is long. I don’t know whether we should call it "South Sudan" or "North Uganda"? It seems it is not a call for recognition of an Independent Southern Sudan but an anexation of it to Uganda.Southern Sudan is in the process of being paid to Uganda in "a gold plate". The sudanese should be aware of that. The dowery of Southern Sudan has been very high; it cannot be taken a way in that simple way!!!. "South Sudan and Uganda have common objective/s" said Kirr. This is definately a wrong assuption. Our so called President Salva should be very realistic in airing out some statements. What link Sudan with Uganda is only the border line but each country operate independentaly with its objective to achieve the set goal for the welfare of its ctizens. Secondly, being neighborhood a bilateral relationship must be strenghtened but this does not means that the two are focussing on one and single objective.M7 is a very tricky politician who can turn black into white but what of Kirr who does not even know how to distinquish green from red; how can he equalise himself with such a tough leader. As Logi Boy has commented,Kirr should keep on visiting great African politicians in order to acquire better skills through creaming since he cannot assimilate with his little basic knowledge.
I was in a high expectation that the president could meet M7 to discuss issue on LRA operation in South Sudan which has created serious threat in the whole region. Hundreds of people in South Sudan are loosing their lives through the activity of the unobjective gurrila the LRA of Uganda. What are they doing here? What is their objective? what do they want to achieve? Why should they not attempt to slougther some key M&’s Military officials as SPLA did to Jalaba in those days of 1992.Shit??? In his next visit to Uganda, Kirr must stress on such crucial issue of insecurity caused by LRA in the wole of South Sudan especially WES, CES and EES states where thousads of people lost their lives.

      Dear Southerners,
I can see some people are denying Ngundeeng’s prophesy rather than prediction as you do say. It was not surely prediction but that was a true prophesy. I can tell you that we had some true prophets that times but due to lack of education and ignorance, our forefathers have not quoted them well.

You may mind that prophets come from Israel only but they were just prophesising like Ngundeeng, Ariath-Makuei and others but why Israelite prophets are well known, it is because there were well quoted by those with great knowledge about them. For us here we want to igore our prophets and that is bad and it should be a great shame on us.

Ariath Makuei said that ’’piny abi riak mac’’ and Ngundeeng said that ’’a man with long beard will build his government slowly’’ what do you thing is wrong there?

We should contribute positive things on this website instead of writing negatively.

        Dear Chier,

        Your call upon people of South Sudan to believe in your prophet Ngundeng is baseless and that due to the following facts;

        · The vast majority of Southerners are Christians who only believe in one God and savior Jesus Christ, last God’s messenger.

        · We the people of South Sudan have not witnessed any of Ngundeng’s prophesy comes true;

        · Can any of Ngundeng’s believers tell us any prophecy that it’s time has not come yet? Or something which is going to happen in future.

        · All the prophets have massages from God to tell his people, what’s Ngundeng massage was to his people? Which god had sends him?

        · Whenever something happens in South Sudan, Ngundeng’s believer will claims that he had prophesied it despite it’s a lie and Ngundeng has nothing to do with it.

If you really think that God can be reached only by being Muslim or Christian then you are wrong sir, long before this religions Africans already had their well established believes, they believe in the same God creator but not in Islam or Christianity, do not force your fake religion on others please.

And I assume the same to Ariath-Makuey, we can improve our actions based on what thay for told.

It is not a time for Ngueny. Ngundeng is already put in the fire by God. If you still believe in Ngundeng waiting your thing alone. Believe in God like Southerners waiting for their freedom in 2011 and President Mayardit will do it for you.

Dear brothers from Equatoria and Nuer community,

Bear in mind that Salva Kiir is not going to die though you think so.Even if he dies today, another Dinka will still take over please for my best known reasons.

Dinkas are not bad but due to your being thick headed people that is why you don,t differentiate things. The whole World loves Dinkas for their being hard hearted and wise people in Sudan.

    We are known over,supposing that we would have not tuned to the language that Arabs understand better;

Dinkas are the majority and they are the peaceful people in Sudan. You may not agree with me due to your being mad but the facts remain that they are the peaceful community in Sudan.Let’s go back, back in order to go forward, there was no any Dinka who fought against our mother SPLA/M during the war but majority of the people from Nuer community and useless Equatoria went for green pastures in Khartoum but Dinkas managed it to fight them.

Whoever doesn,t want to support SPLA/M at this time is free to go but we shall still get them even if the manage to go back to their mothers’ wombs.Dinkas are not going to be defeated in Sudan whether you like it or not.We must rule and we shall be ruling through out if you don,t change your ill.wills against Dinkas.

In term of fighting,we shall still defeat people leave a lone table discussion .Our wisdom is from Heaven and it can not be acquired from the school. People use to complain that Kiir Mayardit is not qualified to be a president of Southern Sudan for he has no the title of being a doctor.Shame on those who normally say such a word.

Our Doctors are mad and if not; then they will run amok within a short period of time.We are trying now to forgive one of them but we shall not forget about the crime that he committed in 1991.Those who fight change must be changed by changed its self.

Museveni is 100% right. The boarder between the two countries is a mark drawn by outsiders. Instead of quarelling on that why not work together for better life for the communities along the artificial boarder. Kuku and Madi have lived for centuries without conflict. How is now possible for two communities to scramble for land now. They intermarry, lived together for a long time without problems. I believe there is a hidden force behind the trouble. Please check on Jallaba consulate in Gulu. They might be the culprit.

      Hi brother Critic-Ngueny,

Sorry black devil is for the oneness of South, however,i will like 2 inform u that u can never represent Dinkas with these baseless and Tribulistic sentences of urs such as Salva Kiir will be succeeded with a Dinka, the whole world loves Dinka 4 being hard hearted and wish people in Sudan, Dinkas are the Majority and peacefull people,& that there was no any Dinka who fought against our mother SPLM/A during the war.

With these childish argument u think u are challenging fellow South Sudanese whom u call Equatoria and Nuer, but u are unwish 2 realize that u are with those triators(arabs SLAVES)who are implementing arabs agenda of disunity and collapse of South Sudanese by calling them Equatorians, Nuers, Dinkas, Uppernilians,Bahr Ghazlians, Moro,Ballanda, and etc, nothing else just encouragement of tribulism to divide and rule.

My brother, u better not write again because u are a villager.

U dont know that Salva Kiir became 1st VP of Sudan, and P of GOSS just by hierarchy not by his capabilities,(but not a problem 2 a city boy like me IF Gen. SALVA Kiir can lead the recognition of South Sudan as a FREE state)Just then try 2 think( like those wise South Sudanese)who were the right personalities to assume the Chairs which Kiir is now in if not HIERARCHY?

My bro, with Democracy, only right persons are gonna be in right place be it Presidential post, executive, MP, and etc in the South Sudan. NO MORE HIERARCHY AND APPOINTMENT THAT GIVES POWERS AND VOICE TO VILLAGERS (PARAMOUNT CHIEFS).

"The whole world loves Dikas" ARE Dinkas MISS MALIAKA OF THE WORLD?, "and peaceful people" is okey, but who are those fighting themselves in Lake State,& Warap, leave alone those causing/caused troubles in Jongulie, and Upper Nile State.

Who are those Night robbers today in Juba in SPLA UNIFORM & AK-47?leave alone those who are lingaring and grapping people lands in the big towns of Equatoria refusing to return 2 BOR with their cows not only b’cos Equatoria is like any where 2 stay but b’cos most of these Dinkas ( the family members of critic-Ngueny) has muddered and robbed their own relates during the war,so they are escaping revenge which is taking place now inthe Bor town specially.

My Bro. u need 2 thank God(if u really know)for making Dinkas many and pray that let them acquire mind like the other few(as u narrow mind has put)South Sudanese, and become least barbaric.

My Bro. SPLM/A is not ur Mother’s NGO, all South Sudanese and many marginalized people of Nuba and Blue Nile has been/still in it. i even doubt some one like u is a cowardess and survive inthe hands of others because of mind weakness making u not thinking well. can u tell me from which tribe in South Sudan was Garbino Kuniane Bol?

Pls My bro. better abstain ur self from following those tribulistic and nepotistic who termed themselves (plus u)Dinkas and miss leading u by advicing to call and abusing ur fellow South Sudanese inthe name of tribe without any just benefit only hatred.

PLS my bro. critic and the rest, time is over for nonsense, let’s face the only and main enemy (arabs)of our people. how many South Sudanese(triators)who were bought by money or luxury to fight again their own bro.s. in South Sudan, where are they and what is their life status and repute?
those who are still recieving bribe from enemy(arabs)today what will be their future? nothing rather than shameful perish of their families.

Mr.Critic-Ngueny take a watch!!! South Sudanese need a total rest from these un constructive writting of urs and the others in this web site.

      Dear Greater Equatorian People.

I would like to appreciate and congratulate you for sending away all the Arabs in Greater Equatoria States in 2005, when our hero Dr. John Garang died.

If others states of South Sudan had your big mind, I think we would have got our Independent State on that black day.

Secondly, I want to thank my fellow Southerners who are in Khartoum for setting fire in the city on that day. And some died as heroes and freedom fighters for the people of South Sudan.

Thirdly, my appreciation to the people of Western Equatoria State for your cooperation with GOSS in arresting the criminals and enemies of our freedom. Keep up with this spirit and cooperate fully with polices, securities and the authority who is leading you to a new era. Keep Greater Equatoria States clean and Criminal Free Zones.

Fourthly, thank you for identifying yourselves as Greater Equatorian people rather than by tribes. Let us move from this level three to level four and calling ourselves by national name as Southerners or African people. Let us be example and light to our fellow Southerners who are still in level one, and identifying themselves by tribes rather than being Greater Bahr El Ghazal and Greater Upper Nile people. Pray for them so that God may open their eyes to the see and know the important of nation, unity and oneness of people.

Fifthly, We must open many churches, schools and colleges for Mudari, Murle, Tobosa, Buya youths and others so that they must love education more than cattle. Animals make people wild, cruel and unmerciful. But education opens peoples’ eyes, develop minds and train hearts to love, be kind to people, respect human values, dignity, lives of others fellow human being in South Soudan who owns animals like you and respect your culture and laws of GOSS for our better living.

Lastly, Greater Equatorian people should not be of leadership ambition but be Independent and freedom and unity of South Sudan ambition and light bearers people.

VOTE for your Candidate Hon. Salva Kiir Mayardit NOW!!!

Long Live Hon. Presidents, Commander in Chief and the Father of our Independent State and Freedom of South Sudan people H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit, Long live Dr. Riak Machar, Long live Greater Equatorian people, Long Live Greater Upper Nile people, Long Live Greater Bahr El Ghazal People, Long Live Independent State of South Sudan People and Long Live the Unity of the People of South Sudan, Long Live SPLA.

And thank you, God Jesus bless you. South Sudan people unite!!!

      Alexander, the encourager.

Dear Prophet or whatever you called yourself, You misunderstood the topic, the topic were the recognition of independent of south sudan not because of Equatorian people chase away the arabs in Juba or in western Equatorian. It is hard to educate such people like you who never listen the teacher. Read the passage before you attempt to write any comments. Anyway iam not in the position to educate you.Stop your barbaric using the word congralution. It seem to me the word congralution shouldn,t be used to the people who didn,t contribute any single bulls and millets and fight to the Spla

As Southerner I feel that we should stop preaching these childish, diversionary and downmarket politics that have reduced us into the lowest common denominator in the scale of humanity. In my opinion, president Salva Kiir is doing an excellent job. and we should all praise and thank him. may almighty God bless the long-suffering of Sudan. Amen.
