May 10, 2008 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese forces since the end of the day paraded in the streets of the capital’s twin city, Omdurman, with the Justice and Equality Movement vehicles to reassure the local population and show that they are in total control of the situation.

State-run Sudan TV is playing non-stop footage of the security forces composed of the regular army, the police, and the security service troops as well as the militias riding the captured vehicles of JEM full of weapons and ammunitions.

The Sudanese TV also aired footage of burnt vehicles and bodies lying of the ground of JEM fighters killed by the Sudanese troops in the street of Omdurman.

Further, many arrested JEM elements were showed on the TV confessing that they were trained in Chad and embarked to Khartoum through the desert. The Sudan Television was keen to focus on the young JEM elements arrested following the foiled attack.

One of the captured vehicles was full of documents about the operation, number of vehicles and military objectives.

The elements of the Sudanese security service were very present in the military operations and seemed playing a leading role in the confrontation against the rebel troops.

Also, the assailant troops were always described as "mercenaries and agents of the Chadian regime."

I salute the courageous JEM for their attack to the terrorist capital!!!

As a true son of greater southern Sudan and as an active member of the SPLA/M oh yeeeeeeeeee, I would like to salute JEM for their bold attack on the terrorist and the extremist capital, Khartoum.

I believe all your brothers in south Sudan are with you in this painful time at which your brave sons of true Darfurians are fighting fiercely with the evil army of the terrorist Arabs of North Sudan!!
I salute your heroes who have taken the fight into the heart of the evil capital, long live JEM-SPLA and long live the unity of Africans in Sudan or the Land of black!!
We (the true SPLAers) may not offer a lot at this curtail time, as we have no courageous leader( as we lost our great leader Dr. John) who can take a decisive action and move the mass to help you, but I must assure you that we the people of south Sudan will soon get rid of those cowed leaders and we will be fighting in the front lines with your brave sons of Darfur region and Nuba people!! when we have the right leader in the South.

    Mr. Kiir,
your condemnation of the brave sons of true Darfur that took the fight to the evil heart, is baseless and it doesn’t represent the true feelings of South Sudanese but only yours and your corrupt GoSS, your condemnation of the events in the devil capital of the terrorist regime of Sudan, shows us how incompetent you are to be the successor of our late leader Dr. John Garang!!

I don’t believe that Dr John would have issued such a naïve condemnation!! Now it is becoming true how serious we have to think of getting rid of you as our leader before you take us back to the square one!! Long live SPLA/M and long live the unity of all black Africans in the land of blacks!!
