I don’t think if lashing women is based on Alla’s penal code and North will transform into a full Islamic state after secession of the South Sudan. The issue here is not only about the limited time frame of getting Sharia law implemented on the ground without provoking violence or uprising against the NCP-led government but about the briefly-tasted freedom brought about by the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA)of 2005.
