Career
Hassan is a former Sudanese Minister for Finance and Economy. He was elected by the Islamic Movement’s Shrua Council on 18 November 2012 to position of IM Secretary General, replacing Ali Osman Taha, Sudan’s First Vice President. Taha, who had held the position for two terms, stepped down at the 8th Islamic Movement General Conference held on 16-17 November 2012.
