Background:

Abdalla replaced 28-year company veteran John Compton who abruptly resigned to become the chief executive of truck stop operator Pilot Flying J Oil Corp. Abdalla, who headed PepsiCo Europe, will now succeed Mr. Compton effective immediately and will be working out of PepsiCo’s headquarters in New York. Prior to joining PepsiCo, Abdalla worked for 15 years at Mars Inc. in engineering and manufacturing roles, as well as in sales, marketing, human resources and general management.

Education: B.Sc. Electrical Engineering, Imperial College London University.

Born: Sudan. He was 53 years-old when he was appointed President in 2012.
