As with the Sudan Media Center (SMC), it is linked to the National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS). Former Governor of South Darfur, Al Haj Atta Al Mannan, serves as chief of its executive board. Mustafa Abu Al Azaim, a journalist with a history of loyal service in the state-owned press of the Numeiri era, is editor-in-chief.
