Background:
Mabor Achol Kuer replaced Daniel Ayual Makoi as the Deputy Governor of Lakes State on 21 April 2012.
Kuer had previously held the post of commissioner of Yirol East county before being fired by the then state governor, Daniel Awet Akot. Akot accused Kuer of being short-tempered and combative.
