Eight members of South Sudan’s National Elections Commission (NEC) have been approved by the National Legislative Assembly in August 2012:

Despite being selected by President Salva Kiir to sit on the National Elections Commission, Ms. Akur Julia Ajuoi Magot was rejected by the South Sudan National Legislative Assembly in August 2012 for being below to requisite age of 35.
