Sudanese football club reaches next round of CAF Champions League

April 24, 2011 (LONDON) - Al Hilal, a Sudanese football club, beat Tunisian Club Africain, to go through to the next round of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League on Sunday.

In an interview with CAF online before the match, the scorer of the deciding goal in the 1-0 game, the Zimbabwean international Sadomba said “with the tremendous help from GOD, my team-mates and the fans and l promise to do my best at the weekend and l am always ready to put in.”

Al Hilal, which is Sudan’s most successful football club, was established in Omdurman in 1930. Last year they reached the second round of the CAF Champions League and the year before, the semi-finals.
