The meeting was also attended by the Libyan ministers of foreign affairs, finance, the directors of Libyan foundation for investment and the Secretary for cooperation.

The talks dealt with ways to strengthen the joint cooperation in areas of economic development and investment in agriculture projects and natural resources.

It was agreed during this meeting on the implementation of a number of programs to be supervised by a joint committee from the two sides.

The Vice-President is accompanied by the foreign minister Deng Alor and Southern Sudan ministers for economy and transport. He is expected to meet the Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi on Tuesday.

The Sudanese foreign minister also discussed with his Libyan counterpart in a meeting held on Monday evening the bilateral relations between the two countries.
