Sudanese NTC, Emirates KANAR sign license for 2d operator of fixed phone

KHARTOUM, Nov 10, 2004 (SUNA) — The Sudanese Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) and Kanartel Group signed Wednesday license agreement for second operator of fixed phone at a license price of 45 million euros (54 million dollars).

NTC Director General Engineer Al-Tayeb Mustafa said in a press statement the license is for 15 years, adding that the work of the group would be an addition to the efforts of SUDATEL Company, which has effected an appreciated shift in the field of telecommunication and information in the country.

Kanar group comprises a number of partners top of them the Emirates Corporation for Telecommunication, which is a prominent international company.
