Governor Abraham Gum Makuach said peace should top the agenda of any community meeting.

He dismissed as untrue recent reports that he had been removed, describing those circulating such rumours as enemies of his administration.

“Peace is the only option that makes a leader to stay in power and peace makes everyone to enjoy sleep. If anyone is preaching hatred in this state in name of groups or using youth are shelter of himself; the historical background of this state will not let you go unpunished,” said the governor.

He called upon members of the public to ignore any rumours being spread on social media and other websites.

He urged Gogrial intellectuals to unite for the development of the state than preaching hatred.

“Let us unite for the development of Gogrial state – we need hospitals, roads, schools and not hatred. We need peace and harmony of our communities, we need rule of law to be imposed correctly without external interference from anybody”, said Gum.

The governor advised politicians and activists to distance themselves from hate speeches

“If you are a person of this community, preach love and peace. Make sure we have put our communities to love themselves,” stressed Gum.

The governor on the other hand urged youth to desist from involving in criminal activities.
