April 8, 2014 (JUBA) - South Sudan President Salva Kiir visited neighbouring Uganda, days after holding bi-lateral talks with his Sudanese counterpart, Omer El-Bashir in Khartoum.

But while the president’s visit to the Sudanese capital was publicly announced, his Kampala trip was kept out of the public domain.

A brief statement from Uganda’s State House said the duo held discussions centered on various matters of bi-lateral and mutual interest between the two countries.

President Kiir was among regional leaders that attended the 20th commemoration of the 1994 genocide, which was held on Monday in the Rwandan capital, Kigali.

The young nation has been unstable since the mid-December outbreak of violence, which President Kiir largely blamed on the country’s former vice-president, Riek Machar.

The conflict has already claimed more than 10,000 lives. The United Nations estimates that some 3.7 million people in the country are now "severely food insecure" while around one million have been displaced by the violence.

This is president Kiir’s second trip to Uganda since conflict erupted last year. The first visit following the conflict was in January.

In March, however, Juba agreed on the deployment of military forces IGAD, an East African trading bloc that is leading mediation efforts between South Sudan’s warring camps. The regional forces are expected to eventually replace Ugandan forces, deployed in the new nation in December last year allegedly to evacuate its nationals.

Stupid Salva Kirr Kuethpiny thought that by selling the country’s oil money to mercenaries he would stay in power for the rest of his life. South Sudan w/o peace b/n Nuer and Dinka juba city would be unstable so Somalia would be the best place to be compare to what this war will bring. Salva’s days are numbered so he’s a dead man walking!

Who Cares whether Kirr was elected or not. Yes Kir and Riek were both elected under the auspice of South Sudanese Independence. WHat is the use of an election if the government does not deliver services, kills its own people, steals public money, hands over our sovereignty to neighboring countries and refuses to be politically challenged, breeds tribal militias and dishonors the constitution?

Kerbino, we know very well that Kirr understands the language of AK47 snd has no idea what democracy means. As I said before, Kirr will be removed through civil protests. What will he do when civilians start protesting in the starts of Juba....kill them? Kirr will leave, soon, and he willl die of shame, for his failures. he will be remembered for the stolen $4Bn, insecurity, injustice, genocide.

Correct! Mr. Kiir went to Museveni to deliver him the minutes of meeting (MOM) report regarding his last meeting with Bashir!
I cannot isolate this visit from Philip Aguer last declaration of accusing Sudan of deploying huge troop over the border!
These guys are hopeless, Ugandan army has become so exhausted fighting Nuer rebellion and can’t confront SAF!

After disagree with Bashir, Kirr when to Movesveni to tell what has Bashir demand to withdrawn Ugandan troop otherwise Sudanese army solders will not stop moving inside South Sudan land and stop drop bombing SPLN north, Bashir are already start supporting Dr Riak Army solders to fight SPLA north. Kirr knew new war is going to start soon with Sudan and Soth Sudan by supporting Riak army forces.

Bashir’s response to Kirr (Which means incompetence) was to release political prisoners, deploy SAF at the border, and bomb South Sudan civilians. He should stop begging neighboring countries to defend a corrupt government; building trust and understanding within South Sudan is the best defense. Unfortunately, Kirr and his thugs will never understand this. Mr. President, your people come 1st.

To any good to do person either Nuer(s) or any other tribe man. If you are wise, please stop attributing president Salva Kiir to Dinka tribe on the matters of the nation. All tribes in South Sudan voted for him, hence he’s all people’s president. Plse avoid being so tribale and accept the fact that he’s the president, then carry on with your music of dis-contention.Provoking the all Dinka is sucid

The reason why People f South Sudan attribute Kiir to Dinka is due to how he reason and how he action when he decided to disarm the Nuer Presidential guard what was the meaning of this was it not tribalism? when he gave order for the killing of Nuer community in Juba was it not Tribalism? I wish you Frak Chol will respond to my comment and stop those words backing Kiir Genocidal regime
