September 10, 2013 (AGOK) - The governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal state Rizik Zachariah Hassan has reshuffled his cabinet, naming his former deputy, Moris Yel Akol as minister of education, according to an executive order announced by the South Sudanese state television on Tuesday.

Hassan cited some constitutional provisions in the 2011 State model transitional constitution which gives him to remove and appoint cabinet ministers, deputy governor, advisors and heads of departments in the state institutions.
“In the exercise of powers conferred upon me under chapter II article 99 (1) (a) of the Transitional Constitution of Western Bahr el Ghazal State 2011, I Brig. General Rizik Zachariah Hassan, Governor of WBGS do herby [sic] issue this decree for the appointment if the following persons with effect from the date of this decree,” says the decree.
The order was announced a day after sacking Wau town Mayor, Michael Gaeba Ukel, who was replaced by the state’s former minister of youth, sports and culture, Arkenjelo Anyar Anyar.
Governor Hassan moved to Lilian Valentino Rizik to the ministry of finance, trade and industry from the ministry of agriculture and named Adil Athansio Suru as his new minister of agriculture, forestry, animal resource, fisheries, cooperation and rural transformation.
Former Wau county commissioner Elias Kamilo Dimo became minister of youth, sports, and social development. Dimo swapped his position with the former minister of local government, Angelo Taban Biajo.
John Urbano Madut has been named new minister of local government and law enforcement and parliamentary affairs as Zachariah Joseph Garang goes to the ministry of physical infrastructure and urban development.
Derik Uya Alfred retained his ministerial post at the ministry of information and culture while Isaac Cleto Hassan returned to the ministry of health and Rita Andrea Tito became of minister of labour, public service and human resource development.
