October 17, 2012 (RUMBEK) - Four citizens of the Lakes state capital, Rumbek, have hung themselves during a one-week period according to the state minister for information, Charles Badiri Mayen.

Mayen announced that the state police will be conducting an investigation into the deaths.

In four separate incidents, citizens of the state have hung themselves. None of them left a suicide note or any indication of their motive.

A policeman in the state was recently talked-down from hanging himself by his in-laws. He said he was attempting suicide because his mother accused him of not caring for her.

In 2010 a in Rumbek man hung himself due to pressure to provide for his family.

Lakes state government say they are doing their best to find the cause of the suicides.

Rumbek!, our Mogadishu, how can that lawless town host the next year independent day?. it’s will be a waste of resources to take this occassion to Rumbek since they contribute nothing to our national economy, they are only consumers and destructors.

I DON’T SEE WHAT ELSE TO INVESTIGATE WHEN SOME OF THE DEADS CLEARLY STATED THAT THEY WERE ACCUSED OF NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE OR TAKE SIMPLE CARE OF THEIR MOST BONDERABLE; WOMEN AND CHILDREN. THIS IS MORE OF ECONOMICS HARDSHIP OTHER THAN ANYTHING ELSE. IT’S THE GOV’T WHO KILLED USING THE INVISIBLE HANDS. THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED WHEN ONE COULDN’T KNOW TO GO TO AFFORD BASIC FOOD FOR HIS OR HER FAMILY.

Right on the head Mr Seeking Truth! Either they are covered up homicides or there’s no other explanation for the rise of suicide countrywide. It is happening in all the states.

Government does not send men to marry ten or more wives. Those who marry more wives and opt to kill themselves are giving the nation more problems than what they have done because their children will not kill themselves, they will kill and robe others. And their wives will spread deadly disease to innocent ones for their survival. You see. Please stop blaming the government, blame the polygamous.
