Shooting in Twic East, Jonglei kills one

May 17, 2012 (BOR) - One person is reported dead and another injured in Twic East county of Jonglei state in an attack by an unidentified gunman on Wednesday.

According to a close relative of the deceased, Adhoor Akol was killed on Wednesday evening in an attack that left a young boy with injuries.

Insecurity is causing great hardship to the people of Jonglei, the UN has registered more than 140,000 people in Jonglei needing assistance, many of them displaced.

The commissioner of Twic East, Dau Akoi Jurkuch, called on the government to intervene, saying youths who evaded the recent disarmament in Murle areas are now hiding in the swamps of Twic East.

“We have been appealing to the government to make an aerial survey in Twic East swamp areas because all the Murle criminals are now in Twic East,” said Akoi.

Akoi believes the attacks will intensify as the rainy season sets in.

The killing of Akol brings the recent death toll to four since the signing of the communal peace in Bor on May 6.

On May 10 three people were killed and three others injured in attacks allegedly conducted by Murle tribesmen in Jonglei, local officials said.

What the crap are you talking about here Jok? Are you saying they should call for Twic West for back up because they called themselves Twic East? I would suggest you guys leave jokes out of this. This is a serious thing and it won’t stop with the Twic East. Let’s rule out those conspiracies of division and let’s think of how we can defeat our common enemy first.

The Murle people in the Republic of South Sudan are the most hospitable and most civilized. Jönköz caraci lavarce are envious of the noble and clean people of Murle because there are no people with such a beauty and self-esteem like my Murle people. I encourage the other hateful tribes to change the negetive and bitter feelings and become beautiful and kind like Murle

Murlei’s youth are just carrying out existing criminal activities caused by government itself. It’s very obvoius, top leaders are once taking army against their fellows and rewarded with brand new position since then after. So how do you think about primitives like MURLEI ? Chances are ’kill or be kill’ and ’condolences’ to missing checkens. No cry and nothing to be done to such monotonous crimes.

unfortunately, there was fucking disarmament which didn’t prevail it. However, someting is wrong with jonglei’s leaders and it might be there wasn’t any leader killed by attackers since. What do you think if President or Vp is kill by whether nuer’s murlei’ or dinka but not his own ? Won’t it be a serious news with action ? There must be something to culminate this but only gov’t isn’t serious !

The Murle are taking serious note of urr Bor Jieng conspiracies which u always make to spoilt the good image of Murle. The Murle were the first to join the movement and made great sacrifices throughout the course of struggle, they did not take part in1991split and now iyou work hard so that any contribution or achievement attributed to the Murle is erased from the history?

’NEW SUDAN VISSION’ should have been better if we were all really warriors. It was very easy to unite sudan for the first start b4 the politic caused tribalism. But afterward when spla began claiming what is ’seen felt tast’ nothing, there are too much to cope with. Junupeins love to be rule by jalabeins. Therefore new sudan where leaders would have been mixed should have created fair gov’t system

Because junupeins love to be rule by AL-BASHIR. But the same BASHIR are now sources for killing of ourselves. But with New sudan, arabs would have embraced new fair system like arabs in other countries leaving our enemy to hide nowhere. Just few ppl dont devise things up for more advantages. But ideal of self-determination by our top leaders now was possibly seemed to hustle themselves oils

You’re almost right but next door enemy is inescapable ones. Arab is our enemy for life, until the fate of greediness, jealousy, tribalism, corruptionism, presidency etc in Ssudan. Believe me, I did not favor anyone by saying these words but for the fact that there is no R.I.P since then after SPLA. There are live lost everywhere by rebels or raiders, but you mind only when it’s one of ur family.

You’re also right south sudan is the THIRD oil-rich in Africa. Which is the 1ST proposal to selfdetermination by others in debate. 2ND by the same group, was difficult to unite sudan. But MARTYR GARANG who was willing to provide every weapons for war, hoping if we could cooporate then we can unite sudan like you always comment it now ! Sudan belong to us dude ! Also Garang was trying to unite b4

You can tell by them winning so many war by rebels till break up by world international leaders 2005. Really freedom is a commitment to fight boy !

But ’new sudan vission’ was the one initiated this SOUTH SUDAN otherwise, it won’t be today. READ THIS CAREFULLY: At forming spla’s manifesto in ETHIOPIA, whereby hosted by president

Then arok thon who was assassinated for rebelion was the FIRST to turn manifesto’spaper to MENGISTO concerning self-determination but was put off, accordance to ’Africa’s rule VII,’ Mengist said. Then GARANG with 2ND manifesto’spaper to Mengisto about SPLA was prevailed. And this was how GARANG became the president to put in mind. There were so many attempts too but failed.

Therefore spla was to liberate/unite sudan b4 somebody joined & ruin it. And caused was introduction 2 [sheria’s laws] recently by Nimeeri. So if spla would have won, we should have been enjoying freedom, justice, equality etc like we both in south now. Separation means tribalism wheras liberation means solving problem. Don’t let evils deny you from telling the truth. U know spla better than me !
