South Sudan says one soldier killed by SAF in Northern Bahr el Ghazal

April 17, 2012 (JUBA) - South Sudan on Tuesday accused the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) of launching an attack on its army positions in an area called Warguet which is part of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, resulting in the loss of life of one of its soldiers.

“The Sudanese army after finding difficulties in Panthou [Heglig] have resorted to opening more fronts as part of their tactics to draw attention of our troops. […] They did this on Sunday in Kuek but they were dealt with appropriately, pushed away into Sudanese territory and our SPLA [Sudan People’s Liberation Army] forces took the area”, SPLA spokesman, Phillip Aguer told journalists on Tuesday.

The SPLA soldier was killed while fetching water from near Warguet Bridge where the two armies are entrenched.

Aguer said SAF is trying to open more fronts specifically now in Warguet and Sirmalaka of Western Bahr el Ghazal state.

Troops from South Sudan last week seized Heglig, which supplies around half of Sudan’s oil production, prompting wide international condemnation and demands for withdrawal.

SAF on the other hand has reportedly started using its air force to bomb targets inside South Sudan killing several civilians.

Omoni jr, you have exactly known these Islamist. Their tactics are one worldwide "hit and run" because they were all brought up and trained by the same Osama Bin Laden. Now, since they have opened another frontline in the same area where they opened a frontline in it and closed it themselves in 2008, things will now get worse for them and we will pursue them this time to Muglad

This time, we will apply our bush policies of "one soldier of SPLA is =10 soldiers of SAF" this is our strategy now. If they kill one comrade, we kill a squad from SAF. We are the most feared pple on this world and those fake Arabs should not just play with fire by attacking us and run like small kids

Anna all human being are created in the image of God, and that doesn’t mean we can let our selves been killed for the sake of going to Heaven. Indeed any one SPLA killed is suppose to revenge with one hundred SAF (1=100)
that is the Isreali and American ways of dealing with this stupid arabs because the don’t listen and value life.

Does it mean that in war human beings are excused for becoming less human?
Whom would they resemble in doing so? Not God, for sure...
