January 6, 2011 (RUMBEK) - The Lakes state security services have captured a senior member of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement - Democratic Change (SPLM-DC) in Wulu county, Lakes state for buying voter referendum registration cards.

Over 900 referendum cards were seized in his house in Wulu County in the evening of 30 december by security services. Isaac Akot Dubo, a chairman of SPLM-DC, recently returned from Khartoum to Lakes state.

Dubo is alleged to have bought more cards from civilians in remote villages around Wulu county headquarters.

The South Sudan Referendum Act states that a re-vote must be taken unless at least 60% of those who have registered to vote do so, within 60 days. "What would happen if a second vote did not meet the minimum voter turnout is not stipulated".

Speaking to press from his office, Governor Chol Tong Mayay, said that Dudo was arrested by security agents. Tong told Lakes state registered voters to secure their referendum voter cards.

The governor said that his “message to people of Wulu” was to not “sell your land” to the “enemies of the freedom of Southern Sudan” which was bought with the “bloodshed of millions.”

He affirmed that “our security service have captured 909 referendum voter registration cards in house of SPLM-DC chairman in Wulu” and that “this is evidence that people are trying to distort the South Sudan referendum by all means.”

Commissioner of Wulu county, Gideon Shilur Mbele said that “freedom cannot be sold.” He urged the Wulu community to respect the martyrs of war who fought for 22 years, for the future of Southern Sudan.

Shilur said that those accepting money for their voter registration card should consider that the people of Wulu county and Southern Sudan as a whole have been “marginalized by the Khartoum government” and that it is “time to vote for future” rather than “sell your freedom for money.”

The commissioner added that Dubo had recently returned from a year in Khartoum and after spending only two days in remote villages, was arrested and is now the responsibility of security personnel.

Wulu county, which is located to the south of Rumbek, the capital of Lakes state, elected two independent candidates into Lakes State Legislative Assembly during the April 2010 election. Southern Sudan’s ruling party the Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement denied the Wulu community a ministerial seat in Lakes state cabinet.

This is pathetic way of killing all citizens of south sudan.
We have been saying that the people who were defected from government of khartoum have supervised and monitor their movement across the south sudan.
We did a great mistake of welcoming the enemies of south sudan in name of united for referendum.
909 cards alot but we did not how many were sold before that.
Akot Dubo and Lam Akol are all responsible for this stupidity.

AM really mad to hear this disturbing news.

The cause for getting us where we at now has cause us many lifes and it should not be taken for granted by few individuall to sell the entire South to the North. I do not care whether it’s brother or someone else who sold these cards. These individual need not be alive or breath with us.

This is very irresponsible indeed. Those who sold there cards need to be arrested and prosecuted as well and swiftly today and tomorrow before the referendum polling.

I must also warn or security not to be involved in mafia activities of framing/black mailing opposition. This what the corrupt Jamaican and Kenyan police do; placing guns in victims hands that they had a shoot out before the killed the victim.

The vilain deserves unquestionable death penalty and those who sold their referendum voting cards to him and his groups should be dealt with after the referendum. Also, SPLM and other Southern Sudan patriotic parties should ensure that every registered voters must show up on the voting days.

Every executive, sub-chief, group leader, headmam/woman, besides any concerned citizen should know their people who have registered for this referendum. If anyone is not coming to the centre, they must face the law.

Lam Akol and his criminals must be outlawed in Southern Sudan for good. It is true that Dr. John Garang was right when he said, "Even if I forgive everyone in Southern Sudan, I will never forgive Lam Akol". Now, we can see, feel, and hate it together.

Dr. Garang reconciled with Dr. Riak Machar because Riak has SOuthern Sudan and Southern Sudanese in his mind though he was forced to committed mistakes during the civil war. Now, Riak has proven to be patriotic leader of SOuthern Sudan and Lam Akol has become black Arab! Pathetic indeed!

Arabs are working day and night to manipulate this referendum but they don`t realize that it is another war they are calling for. However, I wish Southern Sudanese should learn from their mistakes from the time Arabs arrived to Sudan untill today.

First of all, let’s behave as mature and intellectual people when it come to dealing with issues of national interest. I wanted us to critically analysis the dynamics of conflict between Wulu county commissioner, H.E Gideon Shillur Mbele and the youth and community on ther other hand. Gideon was opposed seriously by Wulu community when he was nominated by SPLM party as its flag bearer for Domoloto and Makundi consstituencies during the last year April general elections. The main challenger to Gideon Shillur on this seat was an independent young man from Makundi Payam by name of Shadrach Bol Machok. Bol defeated Gideon even in his own (Gideon) Payam of Domoloto due to huge support from youth lead by Akot Dubo. When he was rewarded by SPLM and appointed as a commissioner, the first thing that Gideon did was hire this an unanalyistical and untrained journalist, to write a kind of article that goes "Wulu commissioner said SPLM-DC,ANC and NCP seriously arming civilians". In that article, the commissioner accuse Hon. Bol Machok of being the led member of SPLM-DC responsible for mobilisation in Wulu county. Some innocent youth were targetted and tortured seriously by soldiers on such allegation, but Gideon escaped justice although there are some evidences that he is seriously behind Wulu Crises from January 2009 to June 2009 when he was alleged to have organised the assassination of Sebit Nichola that was blamed on Rumbek East. That unconfirmed report of civilians armament draw lot of urgement and condemnation in the whole of Southern Sudan and Diaspora. When Gideon was pressured to provide evident, he couldn’t do so because he was lying. He had to go personally and apologize to Ustaz Gabriel Kuc Abiei the leader of ANC in Lakes State. This is just brief background of Wulu Conflict dynamics and it is up to you as a reader with just and some mind to judge who is trying to implicated who in this scenario.

Coming back to this issue of referendum voter cards buying, the information here is from a third party and it is unprofessional and an unethical to rush to the media with one sided report. What I would advise here is to tell Mr. Journalist to find the whereabout of Isaac Akot and interview him or otherwise let other professional journalist search for Isaac Akot, interview him and counter this report. Buying card is punishable crime in Southern Sudan and if some wanted to exploited this situation by implicating thier enemies in cards buying in order to get rid of them; then today is him, but tomorrow it will by you. Law has a long arm. Think of what happen to Agok Manyiel of Yirol West.

If it is true that Isaac Akot Dubo was send by SPLM-DC to distorted our hard gain referendum, then it would be good if he was not born in Lakes State. We in Lakes State are tire of nonsense reports from Wulu county prepetuated by people of high ranking importance in the government, which at the end of the day are not true. Remember our constution said that an accussed person is presumed to be innocent till he is proofed before a compitent court of law that he is guilty. No body is above the law whether you are constitutional post holder or a common person like us.

We wanted to hear from Isaac AKot Dubo and his associates if they have done that grave crime or have not done it. We wanted the owners of cards bought by Akot to be trace and interviewed to acertain really if they have sold thiers cards. If that money for buying cards comes from SPLM-DC, then, the state government through its attorney general should sue SPLM-DC for misleading the public and defaming the name of state. If it is probed to be a lie, then Gideon, security and the writer of this article should face the same legal procedures from SPLM-DC. We are tire of lies and an unethical reports. Nothing on this world would stop us from separating with the North while we have sacrifices thousand of lives for it. God is watching us.

          Dear Abdnego;
Most of the readers are convinced by what they have seen. Look at the photos of the Voter Cards how they were displayed in the Picture. Engineer Chol Tong has left his EXECUTIVE TABLE and sitted besides the Guest Tea-table to examine the voter cards caught by the Security men. Readers actual will not know exactly whether displayed cards were over 900. However, selling a single card alone is a crime.

I think, having attained the evidence, Manyang could send to the media the truth.

All of us were aware that Commissioner Gideon Shilur was not wanted by the youth. Comissioner himself lacks leadership qualities.

That first inccidence of accussing the opposition parties like NCP, ANC and SPLM-DC had no evidence. NCP and SPLM -DC did not challange the commissioner when the accussation was alledged.

It was only the ANC who challenged the commissioner in a matter of prove and to produce evidence of arming the Civilians. If Commissioner could have not apologized ANC could have sued the commissioner in the Court of Law- Charge of Party Defamity. NCP and SPLM-DC failed. They were accussed in the first place and did not react.

Let Isaac denied and say he was the careful custodian of Cards for the Registered voters for referendum because he was the one having a good house and a good safety box. We shall all be filled with laughters.

          Dear Abednego Majack Macharial,

If it is probed to be a lie, then Gideon, security and the writer of this article should face the same legal procedures from SPLM-DC."

That is a good try. However, there are few remarks that I wanted to make about your article.
First, even if the reporter of this article has done mistake according to your perspective as I understand, then there is no smoke without fire. Miraya FM has also reported the same information implicating the SPLM-DC. The only difference is that Miraya FM has contacted one of the SPLM-DC member who denied the allegation.

Second, if the accused person is in the hands of the security agents in Lakes State, they may not allow any journalist to see him before any interrogation is complete. They may think this could compromise their duties to find our more information as to whether this is taking place in Lakes State alone or in other States of Southern Sudan. Logic may have it that if this is true, then it won`t be in Lakes State alone since it couldn`t be an isolated incident but it may take place in other States except that it could not have beeen discovered.

Third, politics is a game and you may be right that the parties you described could be playing games. However, this is an overly serious issue that a reeasonable politician could never try since it must draw national and international attention and if proven untrue, it is really bad for those who falsey created it. In other words, something wrong might have taken place but overly reported before the relevant facts.

Fourth, more will emerge when the defendant is taken to court if you one there that deals with issue of this nature. But I think it will be a little awhile to hear more details due to proximity of the referendum conduct.

Fifth, I quoted you above because I believe the accused party may not admit his guilt since this is always characteristic of the criminals of this type. Most criminals when they committed crimes and asked for a reason for doing it, they always find excuses or defences until it is proven by other parties (judges, jury, tribunals, etc) objectively. This means that he will never accept his guilt though he might have been caught red-handedly.

Sixth, however, the good and strong point you have made is that this journalist must have visited the locations of the crimes and talked or asked/interviewed those accused of selling their voting cards unless the names are not released to him by the security agents since investigation must be still going on now.

Seventh, this criminal shall not be sued or the SPLM-DC shall not be sued. This is not a civil case; we are not looking for compensation. Instead, it is a crime and punishment is the best option. So, the accused party should be severely punished and the SPLM-DC should be outlawed as a criminal party since this evil act amounts to treason if measured in its severity or gravity.

Above all, our security agents should focus on ensuring that everyone registered to vote shall come and vote. If anyone vote for unity, then that is fine with him or her; if he or she votes for separation, then it is also fine since this is why we have the referendum. But selling your cards or buying the voter registration cards are different stories. otherwise, you made a good point about interviewing the people who sold their cards though I`m afraid the names of the sellers might not have been released right away for security purposes.

Let us pray we will defeat the evil in its different forms and achieve our independence very soon.
          Thanks

          Abednego Majack Macharial,

You are right on target. I have followed the situation there and I feel that there is some conspiracy going on in this situation. If the people who sold the cards can not be found and punished then this is a total lie and the commissioner should be removed from any position of authority for this stupid activities.

This "report" must also be prosecuted for fabrications or not using common sense. What he has done it of itself is a danger to the referendum. Does he know that he can be called as a witness to vote rigging by the NCP kangaroo court if they want to oppose the results of the election?

The most important thing is to make sure that everybody that registered must vote and if some people think they can just hid then they must be warned that they will be punished properly.

          Take care

How can we know that a voter is registered to vote if there is no ID Card with a number on it? Is it written in the referendum law that people can vote without registration cards?

Please, be rational! Your cunnings are wellknown to us. However, I have a question for you: what is the reason of this NCP sponsored SPLM-DC member collecting this cards if it is not your fucking NCP that has sponsored him and his clandestine groups collecting cards from the regirstrants?

            Donnot be blinded by hatred!

Think, how can you take voting cards home? Why there is " VOTING" date if you can vote from home ,then!

Previously they used to put a list of the registered voters outside the pooling station and give to representative of political party a smillar list so as to guide there supporters. On the voting day you will be given the number by your party or you have to find it on the list alone. So when you go insde the voting room you give your number with your ID or you will be identified by Sheikh or Sultan , and then and only you recieve your voting card stamped and signed by the pooling officer, on the back!

Now after registration you will be given your name and your number on a small "unauthenticated" paper , with no stamp or signature. This way you will confirm that you have registered and therfore you donnot waste the pooling officer’s time to locate your name on the registration list!

Go to any liberary on Earth and find the oldest map on Earth, when there was no Sudan and you will see that it is called NUBIA LAND. Look at the oldest statue of NUBIAN KINGS and you will see that they have the same facial cuts on the face, which my father got.I am much more original than you, with history of more than 9000 years on this land!

They are "Voter Registration Cards" which would be used to identify each potential voter in the entry form during the polling. After being identified, the voter will be issued a polling "Ballot Paper" which he/she would cast in a ballot box after marking the symbol of his/her choice.

So Mr. Mohammed Ali, if a voter doesn’t have a registration card during polling day, she/he cannot vote. Therefore, these cards are not useless and if they were, nothing could have allowed the alleged cards buyer to buy them.
You are 100% right to say they are useless because you are a "Mundukuru" who in the first place is an enemy of Southerners and secondly, you don’t have any knowledge about the procedures are requirements of the referendum.

I would be very convinced at the time of close and face to face culprit’s talk with any authorized person. This is so barbaric and moronic that over 900 voter cards from Souothern Sudan citizens have been sold for a blind folding amount of money from wrong people.

May God almighty show the truth? I am not convinced by the report. It’s a very enormous number of people in a small particular place like Wulu to sell voter cards to people who are unity loving.

I would like to know how much was each voter card bought from the owner.

Besides, I am eager to let everyone whose voter card tell us over the state radios of Lakes and Miraya FM 101 of Southern Sudan capital city Juba.

If possible at least 45 of them should rectify the incident news

It’s a very amazing news to people of Southern Sudan at large and it should not be published anyhow by those journalists who like selling news without valid prove.

      Take care!
I now and ever will not agree with journalists because they are politially involved in the country affairs lagging behind their code of ethics.

      SPLM-DC,
What story are looking for when it is said 909 cards are found in possession in his house? What would you do with over 900 cards of different people who are supposed to vote for themselves? Is he employed to collect the cards and keep them with him until the voting days?

This is bulshit! SPLM/A should execute this criminal! I hate him more than anyone in this world. The SPLM-DC must be outlawed in Southern Sudan for good! The GOSS should extra measures to carry out this duty. The NCP might be playing game with us by publicly proclaiming that they will accept the referendum outcome when they know they will distort and manipulate the facts to their interests and then say it is not our responsibility but you the Southern Sudanese voted for unity or failed to show up for voting!

They worked hard to create 60% voter turnout because they knew they would every thing in their power to frustrate the referendum to ensure their success.

Anyway, thanks to the tireless SPLM/A brothers and sisters who worked hard to reveal this evil acts. Those who surrendered or defected to the SPLM/A at the last minute should be monitored very well before they referendum until the referendum is successfully conducted.

      Hey Mr Rambang Deng,

How can a thief accuse the other thief? What the guy did in Wulu of buying the voting carts is an example to what Nuer people do every day. When SPLM/SPLA was in war, Nuer people came and attack SPLA while Arabs were on the other side fighting with the SPLA too. So, what the guy is doing in Wulu of buying carts is not far away from what you do in Nuer Community. To me, the guy who do that grow up from Nuer.

Second, how do you expected to claim independent of the South and you just come yesterday from the hand of Arabs in Khartoum? Whom do you think would have brought this peace in Southern Sudan? Is it not Dinka? Dinka give you a brilliant life and you still maligning on Dinka. What happen to the peace which Dr.Riek Machar had signed in 1996? Did that peace bring independent to the South?

If you don’t know it, then the reason is because that the peace which was signed by Dr.Riek Machar was dishonored by Arabs because it was Nuer party. Now,I expected you to enjoy this CPA instead of rebelling again. I know some few days coming you will return to the hand of Arabs. Shame on you son of slave.

    SPLM-DC,

Whether or not the report is one sided, buying "freedom voter cards" is simply not acceptable! The "buyers" should instead convince southerners to vote for unity (if that`s their (SPLM-DC) choice). So please stop accusing the reporter for this particular article unless you are one of them "buyers" - I hope you are not part of the buying spree, despite similarities in your name and that of the accused party!

        SPLM-DC,

Regardless of whether or not the accused is contacted, buying voter cards is just unacceptable, period! I don`t know what`s your point of argument but this is simply not right despite what he (accused) would have said. And by the way, the accused was not arrested by the reporting journalist. The reporter was just reporting the incident, and may be the accused will have his side of the story later on when the full hearing finally comes forth.

With that said, the question is; how did the accused accumulate the 909 voter cards? This is where the argument should be based, not accusing a poor reporter. I don`t care what the defense would have to say, one thing is certain, nobody should have more than one voter card let alone 909!

        Readers,

I heard 25% of all eligible voters are in Unity State. Unity and Upper Nile states are strong holds of the enemies of South Sudan.
Now if vote buying is happening in a small commmunity of Wulu County, what about Unity State, Upper Nile, Uror, Akobo, Pibor, Nyirol, Fangak and Eastern Equatoria state.

Government of Southern Sudan must act by dispatching strong Military Units to those areas to begin checking for those elements like that enemy in Wulu County.
Our freedom is in trouble because of all those brainless and short sighted nyagats who do not accept any rewards given to them. I think it is now useless to reward nyagats with positions and freedom instead they should be rewarded with firing squad to make the remaining learn.

The main issue with the communities you represent is that there had never been a clear nationalist among them. Nuers, and Eastern Equatoria tribes are full of brainless and short sighted nyagats who do not learn as they grow.

Please learn to be nationalists first before claiming to kick Dinka out in top positions. There is no country run by nyagats which can prosper. You will never see somebody from those communities taking the country top job unless they become true nationalists first and denounce nyagatism.
Failure to denounce nyagatism will never make you go ahead.

                    Chuker and Nuer traitors,

You guys are doing the same mistake some Nuer and Shilluk army officers did in 1991 by supporting an imprudent visionless leader called Riek Machar.
Riek Machar brought more disaster to Nuer in his 1991 coup attempt against Dr. John Garang and you guys are still supporting him to bring more disasters to your community. He brought lost of lives to Nuer youths and Dinka Bor civilians and SPLA for believing in useless prophet promises of a left-handed unmarked Nuer leader ruling South Sudan in unknown period in history. Riek Machar had made all Nuer communities to lose their prides as liberators of South Sudan to be well known traitors and visionless community.
Riek Machar gravely failed to control Nuer militias under his leadership and all Nuer militias officers became generals over night without soldiers and without knowing rules of engagement in military operations and without even knowing how to write their names leave alone communicating with communities they are based and outside world.
The liberation war had been about seperation of South Sudan but the model of reaching that goal was the main difference between imprudent visionless Riek Machar and wise visionary John Garang. Riek Machar was used by Lam Akol to implement his agenda of bringing Dinka and Nuer into war so that their political influence is reduced by reducing their population sizes so that union of manority tribes in South Sudan can triumph to power. Foolishly Riek Machar did not know the intention of Lam Akol and mobilized his foolish and illiterate majority to attack Dinka civilians that resulted in the death more than 20,000 mainly civilians. There was no single Shilluk in Riek Machar and his SPLA Nasir faction operations against John Garang and SPLA/M Mainstream though Lam Akol was a senior member of his SPLA Nasir faction. After Lam’s objective was achieved, he denounced foolish majority visionless leader as genocidal and they departed their ways because Lam objective of bringing Nuer and Dinka into everlasting enemy was achieved.

I hope Riek Machar had learnt from John Garang and I hope he will behave well and be loyal to Salva Kiir, South Sudan and any other Southern leader who will lead South Sudan after Kiir if Riek Machar will be around by that time.
There is no chance for Riek to be a leader in South Sudan beyond the position he is in now and Nuer should stop crushing old wounds by supporting this visionless leader.

He is the vice president of GOSS and if GOSS is accused of mismanagement than Riek Machar is at the heart of that government and therefore share responsibility for mistakes that government makes. Therefore, no hope for him any more.
Check this website http://www.sudanupdate.org/HISTORY/chron.htm on seperation proposal by Dr. John Garang when Riek Machar was busy handling infighting in his SPLA - Nasir Faction.

Please you guys need to think this time around. You need to engage in making money so that you can enjoy your lives in a free country but not supporting leaders who can not sell through to the top leadership of becoming a leader of South Sudan.

There is no difference between Riek Machar and LRA leader Joseph Konyi. They are all imprudent visionless leaders who believe in cult and satanic ghost. God will never make them to triumph to power in a country that glorifies His Mighty Name.

                Omoni,

Eastern Equatoria tribes are hardcore nyagats although they have ability to realise their mistakes than their Nuer brothers. In 1992, they join arabs and nuer ngagats and LRA in large numbers. They cut SPLA supplies to frontline around Juba. SPLA had to withdraw from Juba attacks to come and deal with those nyagats from Nuer and Eastern Equatoria around Magwi, Torit, and surrounding areas. We know tribe by tribe and their rebellious acts during liberation struggle and we even know major attacks launched by tribes in Eastern Equatoria against SPLA positions from 1991 to 1998.
You are welcome to South Sudan if you have repented completely and have denounced nyagatism.

I don’t like to confabulate with a fool people like you. Unity State is my State and I have to repeat it many times as I want to. I had been in Nuer land for so many times. In my first place where I stayed in Nuer, I stayed in Duar,Nyaromni,Bil, Bilbeer, Tharkuer and so many others places just to mention.

If you are from Unity State, do you know the man from Nuer call Mut Turuah? Don’t argue with me my dear. When I was in Nuer, all our 45 cows were stolen by unkown person from Nuer land until this time no one find them. I know Nuer people very. They just like to loot, steal and confiscate others people properties for the seek to invest themselves. What a foolish community in Southern Sudan is this?

Chuker, don’t talk to me like I don’t know your characters. I’m a native son from Dinka Ruweng Community of Biemnom in Unity State. If you think that I’m from Warrap State like you say so in your article, then do we have Dinka Ruweng Community of Biemnom in Warrap State? For your information, I wanted to you to release whatever you think that you are on possesion of it. I’m proud to be a native son of Dinka Ruweng Community of Biemnom even if Nuer people make this Unity State to be a home for "Homeless People who die in their hearts"

Shame on you and your brother Rambang.

Angelo Manom Kuot is my grandfather’s son. I do know all his family starting from his father Kuot Kur Kuot. Angelo Manom’s father was the Paramount Chief of Ruweng and he was killed by Arabs in Biemnom County of Ruweng on April 16,1983. Then, his uncle Kur Kuot Kur from Jamus Battalion was killed in Kuinaam by Nuer. I have a lot to tell you my dear if you really know Manom Kuot Kur.

I was also in Nyaromni village.

You said that Nuer will bring change. You mean change to rebel. You people of Nuer, you are just a selfish community in Southern Sudan. Shame on you vulture.

I have nothing personal against the Dinka, unlike you who hold so much grudges against the Nuer.On the contrary,I have so much to share with the Dinka in term of relationship.I have got almost half of my relatives living in Panaruu, which is actually where my people come from.

I want you to change your behaviour of hostility and begin to think on the positive side of things. The fact is that, you Padang Dinka have much in common with the entire Nuer tribe than your fellow Dinkas from Bor or Bharelghazal.

Sorry for responding your article late.
I know Bil myself my dear. My Aunt Ajak Chom Achak lives in Bil. So, you can’t tell me anything about how close is Bil Village with Nyeromni. You said that your relatives lives in Panaruu, but I’m not from Panaruu. I’m from Dinka Ruweng. Awijak, the one that you mentioned his name, I know him. He is call Andrea Awijak Chany Awijak. Maybe it is true that you know me too, but I can not stop condemning Nuer people unless they made some changes in the way they lives. When I was in Nuer land with my father, mother, brothes and sister, all our 45 cows were all stolen by Nuer people. It is a shame for anyone to steal the things for his vistor who came to him. That always happened in Nuer land and those of Nuer people practice that kind of thing alot. 95% of Nuer people spend their living on others people properties. If you want me to change my behaviour, then I wanted you to talk to Nuer people in order to stop the behaviour of stealing, looting and confiscating the things for others people. The way Nuer people act is not completely a good way that a human being can act.

Human beings need to mind about others people affair always.

                      Thanks

      Dear Southerners,

This is very grave and something official should come out from that matter in Rumbek.

It is not secret anymore that the SPLM-DC under Dr. Lam is doing everything to frustrate our people to achieve the 60% reguired.

Few days ago, Dr. James Okuk Solomon, the apologist from that party (SPLM-DC) voluntarily said that Southerners won’t achieve the 60% required by the law.

The young traitor knew what he was saying and something should now be investigate from him, and not just him by all the SPLM-DC across Southern Sudan.

It appears without any doubt here that SPLM-DC is Southern Sudan enemy number ONE, and we should all do something to punish this treacherous group.

I learned all the members and that tribe where this party hail its bases have either abstain from registering or out to vote for unity.

I didn’t understand when all other Southern political parties posted posters for independence, and others have appeared in talk shows or radio presentation to express and urge their supporters to turn out and vote for separation.

SPLM-DC never said anything and Juba leaders are to wake up and arrest the SPLM-DC Chairperson, throw out the four members in the Southern Legistlative Assemby and do a thorough door to door search for SPLM-DC supporters homes for more voting cards

This is a very sad news. To my own analysis, this evil act has nothing to do with SPLM-DC as a party. It may be true that the man is a member of the party (SPLM-DC), but i am very confidence that the man was not send by the party or party leader. That is not the objective of that party. Dr. Lam Akol is a Radical separatist. He is one of the role models for self determination and he cannot encourage that stupidity of denying us our right to freedom. I am not a member of SPLM-DC but truth is what i believe in. Mr. Dubo is one of the unionist who killed southerners for their individual interest for many years. Now that they failed at last to achieve their useless vission of new sudan, they are now ashame of themseves and they are the people who are doing those shameful things. Please, don,t sell your dignity, join us on board of self determination and be free.

      Dear All Commenters and observers;
Just take a little patient in this Case. The Theme of the reports Says "Over 900 Voter registeration cards bought by the SPLM-DC Member..." particularly in Lakes State Wullu County. Before all of you comment anything; Just take a vivide description of Wullu County including its inhabitants and go back to the Population census of Wullu. Though Wullu County is vast in Area it is under populated. Eligle voters in Wullu are exactly the figure reported sold. Is there any Wullu County Participation in the last war called referendum? That alone of selling the Cards is just a great sin. They have betrayed the Land of South Sudan.

Your Voter registration card is your property and it grant you choice to make during the referendum. Either you vote to be the second Class citizen in your own Country it is absolutely your choice or you vote for justice, freedom and properity- An Independent of your State- South Sudan. Your vote is secret.

Coming back to the position of the SPLM-DC. Their position despite the fact that South Sudanese parties held a conference in Juba so that they all address they issue of South Sudan independant Unanmously- SPLM-DC became neutral. They said " Will not campaign for Unity nor Seperation". What are they waiting for? God Knows. This time all Southern Sudanese and particularly i prayed" The Land of South Sudan is My Shepherd, there is nothing i shall want".

Back to the SPLM-DC Chairman who made this crime: You have trained trained Beli Community to become criminals. Most of us believed that Beli Community ever since are peace makers- Independent Community who depends on the very Soils you are selling and hang their Beehives to harvest honey on the trees in the Land of South Sudan. They do not steal and they do not feel jealousy to one another. You walked through all the way in remote areas to collect Voter Cards for your own riches. It is absolutely wrong. Am sure It is the SPLA/M who trained you and not the SPLM-DC nor NCP. If God spare your life in this crime do not repeat again.

On the side of the reporter, Journalist Manyang: It is a habit that most of Manayang articles are prevocatives and causes commotions and reactions to every reader.. A citizen of Lakes State may feel that such Articles are seemed as exaggerated or Pictions. Why only Lakes State have such filthy reports daily in the webside? Does it mean it is only Lakes State having or practicing crime Acts? It is not.
I believe such crimes exist every where. The good part of it is that they are not reported to others to hear about. Should crimes be hided if we are to correct ourselves and become good citizens? No.

To the Government of Lakes State, It is good that the security of Lakes State have done a wonderful job to capture those sold cards. Immediately dispatch them to the owners and let them be supervise during voting exercise.

The Seperation is not a joke. It is the issue of the Land and not power. Let us all fought for it.

I want to worn all of you, that we southerners with our tribes need to be united don’t be decieved by a dirty dog sent from the dog house (north Sudan) to disturbed us and bring a tribal conflict which they always desire to destabilize the peace which is yet to come to our respective country south Sudan. We will finish with them once we get our nation out of their hands. They are using our brothers to betray us so that they call it a tribal conflict within south Sudan and that they have nothing to do with it. Its a very old technique but we must be aware and be patient and lOving towards one another in the south.

As for our government. They will mature soon, and stop accepting NCP members from they north joining SPLA/M. These members from the north, most of them are traitors. They should be invastegaged, and fully checked before accepting to joining and political parties In the South. Political parties in the south should know, e en though they oppose them selves in the parliament, it does not mean when it comes to somthing such as referendum they should continue opposing each other, it does not work that way. For instance here in Australia: theirs an opposition party, they always oppose the government, but when it comes to the security of the country, they unite, and their voice is one. Therefore, now is Referendum ti
me all political parties in the South shops work for the good of the people. Any exterior interruption should be taken seriously and prosecuted. To show that they will be capable of running our country, and gurentee us security and keep law and order within our country. They must put all their differences aside and work for the good of our people. These people who are selling their cards should be investigated so that we find out their really motives. Indeed, the people of Southern Sudan have suffered long and this is the time they have been waiting for and nobody should sell his or her voting card for crumbs of money to satisfy his or her immediate egoistical needs.

Folks, it is critically important that we stop writing bad things, since we are approaching this defining last momentous phase in our country whether Sudan will stand a chance to remain as a united country or the people of Southern Sudan who have greatly suffered in the hands of various murderous and fatalistic Islamic regimes will choose their independent country in that Upcoming Self-determination Referendum.
Furthermore, these are the same people who have been running around like chicken with itself preaching their fatalistic ideology of Somalization of Southern Sudan should we become an independent political in the Upcoming Self-determiantion Referendum. We, the people of Southern Sudan are more than ever before fully prepared to combat all these challenges and eventualities should they occure and are more than ever fully prepared to eradicate them.

Really bad news, if what I read is true. The Problem is one of us have been used by enemy to buy voting cards so we cannot reach at 60% needed for independent south Sudan . We should deal with that problem instead we just twisted the problem to tribalism things. As the next president of south Sudan who will unite nations of south Sudan, I am here to tell you people Neur or Dinka any tribe in south cannot survive without others, we need to be one nation to build very rich best country in Africa. Those whom are buying and sell voting card should through to jail for very long time lesson to others may thing to do this kind of stupid thing in future.

Oh my God is it trues SPLM-DC buying voter referendum registration cards from civilians in remote areas?!?!? This is not good at all GOSS need to put military to all remote villages cross southern Sudan before and after January 9-15 to securing entire region.

I personal I degree with those of you who saying that people who sold their voting cards will be put death penalty, but guys remember these people who are in remote villages they are not educated. They don’t know what important of this referendum, because if they do know, they shouldn’t choose money instead of their freedom. For those of us who really know what going on in Sudan if somebody come with one million dollars to buy our vote cards we will not excited because we know what is happening and what this referendum mean to us and our people. In my opinion, these people who sold their freedom voting card will be arrested and punching.

In the eye of law, Lam Akol and his SPLM-DC members deserved a death penalty, because they are trying to selling out people and our motherland to Arab in Khartoum. Shame to Lam Akol I pray to God one day God will punish him for criminal act against with his own people.

Remember my southern Sudanese People, this is our voice! Let us go vote for our freedom. May almighty God bless our beloved Nation south Sudan.

    My best to you all.

    Dear Mr. Karbino Garang,

I got your massage you sent me through to my website consenting about the comments I make about SPLM-DC. Please next time you wrote to me, including your email address, your phone number, and your home address so that I can replying you back. I appreciated your advice you make. "You said, I don’t want to get myself involved in politics if I do want to help people of south Sudan." I am not involving myself in politics my friend, because the organization that I am running here in U.S.A is non-governmental organization because it is non-profit organization. I was consenting about dirty work Lam Akol with his Party so called SPLM-DC are doing for buying vote registration cards from people in Villages to give them to Khartoum government and our people are seeking for freedom. This referendum doesn’t mean anything to you? Because our people died for it. Also we have been fighting, and struggling over decade for our independence. 2 millions people lost their lives and 4 millions people flew their home.

    Thank you for your comments.
