Following the recently concluded sports competitions in Kenya by the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Associations (FEASSA) during which Southern Sudan won second position to Kenya in basketball competition by beating the rest of East African countries, FEASSA body decided to elect team from the semi-autonomous region to represent the whole of East Africa against other secondary schools teams in USA.

Football and other sports activities such as short and long distance marathon competitions were among the sports activities to be developed in the region.

What a greate news to the yet to be born nation of East Africa!
Many thank to Eat African nations that gained courage and openly recognised South Sudan as one of their members’ state and mandated her High School basketball team to represent them in the USA high school competition next year.

Politickingly, the result of badly awaited referendum is already known to wise and pure heart countries though dark-hearted ones cast doubt on it. bravo our sisters states of East Africa..
