Sudanese presidential assistant to lead delegation to Copenhagen

December 14, 2009 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese presidential assistant Nafi Ali Nafi will lead a delegation to the United Nations climate change conference in Copenhagen (COP15), the state agency reported today.

Sources told Sudan Tribune that Khartoum initially planned to dispatch 2nd Vice president Ali Osman Taha and later it was reported that the environment minister Babiker Nahar will go instead.

Sudan is currently the chairman of the G77-China bloc, made up of 130 nations and leading calls for more funds from Western nations and commitments to emission cuts beyond 2012 under the Kyoto Protocol.

More than 110 world leaders will be in Copenhagen this week to attend a summit to try to clinch a historical deal making it one of the most high profile conferences ever.

The Sudanese president Omer Hassan Al-Bashir was invited but is staying away in light of the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for him making him vulnerable for arrest in Denmark.

However, the Sudanese ambassador to the UN Abdel-Mahmood Abdel-Haleem said in two separate interviews with the BBC and CNN that Bashir’s decision to skip the summit is in retaliation for Danish cartoons depictions of the prophet Mohamed that caused global Muslim outrage three years ago.

Nafi will be accompanied by Nahar, Al-Tigani Fideil who is the international cooperation minister and agriculture and forestry minister Abdel-Haleem Al-Mutaa’fi.

A fair deal acceptable to all should be negotiated in Denmark, sabotage of the summit is not a good option.

    Okay!

If al-Bashir skips the trip for alleged silly reason stated by the Sudan’s ambassador to the UN, then the question is what Denmark will get in return. If Bashir goes to Denmark or not, the fact remains, Denmark will not be affected.

Danish people will not care about such a stupid retaliation; everybody today knows al-Bashir is afraid to go to the summit to avoid arrest because of the standing ICC Warrant issued for him because of alleged genocide crimes in Darfur.

I commented here last time that Mr. Murderer Omer Hassan Ahmed Albasher would not touch South Sudan in 2011 and this if am not mistaken will be the first bill to be pass by the parliament directly after independent without any objection from any Body, and above all , we don’t like Muslims Killers to reside in Christians Land, if they want to, we would allow them but to avoid every evil doings connected to Islamic Teachings, they could practice their Religion peacefully otherwise would be consider unlawful and against Christianity in Christian Democratic Republic of South Sudan.

Hillary THE HILARIOUS. 3rd Future President of Christian Democratic Republic of South Sudan. Enjoy.

    THANK
