Sudan’s Kiir warned Uganda of possible war over Bashir’s arrest

August 1, 2009 (WASHINGTON) — The Sudanese First Vice president and president of Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS) Salva Kiir urgently dispatched an envoy to Kampala recently to warn over threatening to arrest president Omer Hassan Al-Bashir, according to a news report.

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni (R) gestures after a joint news conference with South Sudanese President Salva Kiir (Reuters)

The ‘Daily Monitor’ Ugandan newspaper said that Gier Chuang Aluong, GoSS minister of interior flew to Uganda in mid-July and met with President Yoweri Musievini conveying a letter from Kiir asserting the danger of even “threatening to arrest” Bashir.

Sources told the newspaper that Kiir cautioned that such a situation may cause Uganda to turn “Somalia with suicide bombers making security difficult and there was the risk of war if Bashir was facing arrest”.

Gier said that Kiir “was very concerned and insisted that the matter be resolved quickly” the source told Daily Monitor noting that after years of SPLA fighting Khartoum, Kiir as a former intelligence chief “knew how dangerous an enemy Khartoum can be”.

The Sudanese president was scheduled to travel to Uganda this month in response to an invitation from Musievini to attend the Global 2009 Smart Partnership Dialogue conference.

However, after much political wrangling, Uganda ended up asking Bashir not to attend given the outstanding International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant for him.

Uganda is a party to the ICC Statute making it legally obligated to arrest the Sudanese president.

Sudan believes that the African Union (AU) resolution taken in Libya in early July, which instructs African nations not to cooperate with the court in apprehending Bashir, is binding to Uganda.

“The Sudanese were very mad. They were threatening severe action against Uganda including war,” the Daily Monitor quoted a Ugandan delegate to the Non-Aligned States meeting which was taking place in the Egyptian resort of Sharm El Sheik at the time.

The newspaper said that Musievini “is sensitive” to perception of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi who intensively lobbied his African peers at the to endorse the resolution.

So far Botswana, South Africa and Chad have dismissed the AU resolution vowing to arrest Bashir if he was to arrive at their shores.

The leadership of this nation whether seperation or unity will be in the hands of Equatoria and nuer not you dogs who never share a piece of bone. Your politics is all about corruption, killing, stealing, murdering and all barbaric act like you where taught to read the cover not the pages. It is truth that you learnt from the cover and this is why you prove yourselves to be number one group of liers and criminal in South. Lets talk of today but tomorrow is coming and you will see who will ran naked.

Logic is the chairman and founder of Equatorian Resistant Movement (ERM) after achieving its objectives and goals it will reverse to Sudanese Revolution Movement for Democratic (SRMD). Riek and his nuer has double created, 1 bringing Equatorians children from Murle, 2 effort for interrupted peace of LRA. Murle has 1 created for handing back kids to Equatorians. Look at this rat call rubbish, logic or Riek who is just farting as if his uncle Ngungdeng told him that your days of betraying Southerners are its end. Look rat, most of respondents have never realised that you are Riek who is just pretending to be an Equatorian representee. If you are not deaf dug and got root in your arse, why are you transferring article title to Dinka affairs? To the Dinkas, I would like to advise you not to tread Logic as an Equartorian he is one of the big greedy leader in the South. If there is any one denying it, just compare one of his expressions that are very the same with Riek. The way he writes, his future setting goals and the itching arse hate on Dinkas qualified him to be Riek. In case of those who want to deal with Equatorian, don’t be hesitant to ask the most hatred man in the Equatorian history or heritage. This man is from small tribe call Bari and his names are Lokuji or some time known as Logic. Back to rat Lice or Logic Riek Machar, I’m warning you not to touch Dinkas in any thing connected with news. Otherwise, I am going to act badly on my security section against your community and tread inhumanly whoever tried to challenge people against tribes. Rat, you have not realised that you are the only rat left insulting Dinkas among those wise tribes who have sacrifice themselves to Dinkas and confess their sins. You better do it earlier before South decides their separation and of course traitors like you will not have a chance of betraying us. You are preaching Equatorian and Nuer to be the good leaders, well if that is the case therefore you are dreaming or farting the undigested wast. Why? There are no good leaders either in Nuer or Equatoria. This is because leaders start from teenage and then adult. What I mean is that non of the mentioned community have never contribute effectively on this web and that indicate that all of you are bunch of Arab faeces collectors or rather sperm collector for Barshir infertility. You are crying for Kir’s political dialogue for nothing, wasn’t you who said that my friends traitors LRA will understand me better as their negotiator? Still you didn’t solve their brutal attack on innocent Equatorian. If you were an Equatorian, you would have not been spending day and night claiming what Kir is doing best to the Equatorian. Thank yourself for kids brought back. Look rat, if you still show your madness, I will climb further and provide more heart attack news that will shape your arse to liquid wax!!! Idiot monkey without tail!!!!

        I’m waiting Rat!!!

if you have apersonal problem with logic, how can you insult your president?
Riek" will not relucten from presidency because of your stupidness and baseless claim. if we are the leaders of tommorow, we should teach ourselves to respect our dignity and our fathers who fought before us.
for example if i were interviewer, will you realy be in possition to tell me the differencies between Riek and late DR Garang?
if so" where were you been by then?

Look rat, I will not get tired unless if you bunch of Bashir‘s arse fillows leave “Dinkas” alone. You stated that I’m crazy or mad leaving your overdue wilderness of which you are now portraying. I tell you what rat, the futility of Riek’s wrong doing is self evident when seen in the context of the rewards for insultings. Riek’s utter success of the punishment is illustrated by his Nuer follower’s tendency to define individuals by what they do rather than by what values they holds. In fact the above narrations are what this rat call Riek/Galuak or Logic committing here. Here I will not go further because you haven’t touch Dinkas, but however I would like to provide you with little hints of Riek and Garang’s differences. The differences between Riek and Garang are:
Riek fames are that of certain elements such as hatred, jealousy, outrage and brutality.
While Garang’s are full of pride and loving which had shaped and strongly contributed into what is being Southern Sudan in his and Deng Nhial heroic myth.
Don’t call me your brother. Riek is not going to be my prisedent unless if he change his behaviour of which he always carry out by sending rubbish messages to Northerners. Don’t claim a lot just keep seeing your writing and Logic’s last paragraph.

I am waiting rat for your savage interview!!!

Hello all of you dear participants except the useless contributors. I am still very surprised by President Museveni’s apology to this convicted criminal Omaar albeshiir. But even more surprised today to hear and read on the internet that Salva Kiir himself whom I regarded before as a national hero to have been warning his counter president Museveni of Uganda to be afraid of those terrorists in Khartoum. Dear fellow true Sudanese who are Africans, because whoever is not an African in Sudan is a foreigner, I am telling you the truth and it is the fact that all terrorists like Omaar albehsiir, Kony in Uganda, and the like all over the world must be destroyed completely by the good guys among us. I mean the rest of us who are not part of them. Let us leave behind our tribal and other foolishness conflicts and self destruction for a while at least, or better still for ever behind us, and continue forward together with the noble cause of liberating the whole of Sudan. The whole of Sudan belongs to the true Sudanese who are Africans. Sudan means the land of black people or Africans. Now the South is already liberated or at least could be rightly seen as a liberated area. But that is not enough, and that is why we should not really worry too much about Abyei and the oil fields that were awarded to ‘guang guang’ because sooner or later if we are still alive, we must take the whole of Sudan by force. It only takes one powerful leader who is not a traitor of Arabs and cannot be changed by the ‘mundukuru’ or ‘werekere’ no matter what happens, unlike our heroes of yesterday, turned cowards of today. What is wrong with you our African leaders whom we regarded you for such a long time as brave and noble? Get rid of this cowardice Mr. president Salva Kiir if the news we are hearing is true that you are now beginning to fear Omaar Albeshiir. ‘Dugu al mundukuru o maa takaaf kulu kulu’ whether you are afraid of them or not, they are coming anyway. So ‘nitgadda behum’ before they ‘yitaashu beena’ However I myself can still forgive Museveni as he did many good things to our cause the black Africans. Museveni should be treated and regarded as a good and courageous pan African and great leader of all time. May be he is now going through some stresses in his own government affairs. I will defeat Kony and Omaar one day if nobody is going to defeat them now. Reply to me if you dare or even write to me personally using this email aneetagii@yahoo.com

I do not think Kiir has actually said to Uganda that Sudan will go to war with Uganda if Bashir is arrested in Kampala. It would be one of the most foolish thing to do if any Sudanese would think of going to war with the world. Bashir is wanted by the ICC not Uganda. Therefore Uganda must execute the requirements of the international law.

How much Sudanese blood Mr. Bashir has shed? He has killed millions of people as far as we can imagine. So the women raped in Darfur would become suicide bombers because Bashir is arrested in Uganda for war crimes in Darfur. I don’t think so. On the other hand, it is impossible for me to pick up a gun and fight the ICC on behalf of Bashir. Bashir worth nothing other than a fugitive war criminal.

I will not agree with President Kiir statement on the ICC case against Omer Bashir. Uganda have right since it’s ICC member and I don’t see reason Kiir fear Khartoum in any attack to South Sudan. South Sudan fought Khartoum government for 22yrs without good military hardware like tanks and many others weapons but Khartoum failed to success to take overall the country. I conur with Uganda, South Africa, Chad, and others countries in Africa who are supporting ICC issue against Omer/Umer Bashir of Sudan. Please Sudanese specially Southerners, peace will not come to Sudan without justices and don’t accept any cheating from leaders because they want to eat through our blood. I don’tsee the connection of South Sudanese leaders to keep supporting South opponent than to face justices. Umer El-Bashir must to face justices like others through God name we pary and justices will come to the country.

      Dear Kur

Bashir has ended 50 yrs of war.Bashir worked hard to take all those wanting war from his government and went it all along. The war was there longtime before Bashir. You have alot of opportunity now to decide wat you want as Sudanese and this is because of Bashir,John Garange and Kiir. So,please stop undermining our leaders and stop the abuse. I can count more than 200 dialogues between SPLA/SPLM and Bashir party to end the war since his arrival to power, but many wanted the war to go on, these are the Torabis and the communist and now they are trying to get us back to war by befriending the SPLM,but I know Kirr is intelligent and knows his people best interest. The only alliance which can take us to safety now is the one between the NCP and SPLM; any thing else will lead to disasterous outcome. It is not and it was not only the South suffering from war, BUT ALL SUDAN

Kiir is comfortable to be vice president of Bashir so he doesn’t want his ghost father to orphan him knowing that his life would be hard. No matter want YOUR GHOST FAHTER feed you Kiirdit, you need to know that your time will come like a blink of an eye. Today is your day and tomorrow will be another man’s day. So do everything and remember your sun is sinking and somebody day is dawning. Every dog has its own day. I thought you should consider our lives ’southerners’ rather than focus on Bashir’s life. Let me tell you don’t trust the fire and knife. I have seen you licking the edge of sharp knife but you need to know that in a twitch of an eye, it will cut off the tip of your tongue before you had finished licking gelatine that Bashir bribed you to neglect your brother- me. Don’t leave the burning fire in your kitchen, it will burn down your house. Kiir, sheep and leopard cannot be tethered with the same rope even they are in the same zoo. Tame and domestic animals are different, feral dog soldmon bite, Bahsire is feral dog that cannot be reared at home if you don’t know him. I don’t want ICC to hang him like Saddem but I urge you to reconsider the life of others in Sudan generally. If Bashir promise you to be his vice president for the rest of your life, we have power to let you down in any circumstance unless you will open your heart to us.

Who is going to governed the Southern Sudan to the extend in which everyone should not get confused? What significant is Omar Bashir, is serving to the Southern Sudanese people? How can I rely on my enemy? If Omar Bashir, is a righteous man, why Southern Sudanese people fought for about 22 years with Khartoum Government? Or why Darfurian people took up arms in 2003 against Khartoum Government? So, all of these crisis were happened in hand of Omar Bashir. As I write this comment, I can described Southern Sudan as a "tree which doesn’t propagate any fruit at all". I do supported ICC to Arrest Omar Bashir because of injustice practices which are alleged all the times by Omar Bashir and his allies in Khartoum. After all, the right of Southern Sudanese is the one which will claim Southern Sudan, but not the leader or anyone in charge. Lord Jesus Christ, help the Southern Sudanese Civilians since the don’t have any eye above them. Omar Bashir, is a lucky person and he will not endure any grievances until his time come. Omar Bashir is lucky and lucky. I’m full of thirsty, but I don’t have power to draw water to calm my thirsty. By the way, will my thirsty not kill me? Indeed, it will.

On my behave, I know big logic dog but I don’t want him to be known by others due to his safety and if he will continue with that spirit than people will hear different news soon.
Second to that, we have right to advice our leaders and public through right channel which can not involve abuse of tribes. Look, human dignity is very important than education we have due to following reason as you can think of them personal before other person tell them. Furthermore, South leaders should avoid threat and keep preaching justices and equality in the South to promote human right. I hope Sudan will be the same again as John Garang told the Southerners before his death.

To all readers, it is legally crime to intimidate a person for expressing his/her point of veiw. The language used here by AJUSCOMMANDO against BIG LOGIC is a mortal intimidation. Due to this killing language, I and all of us must hold AJUSCOMMANDO responsible to any incident that might happen to Big Logic. Big Logic has right legally to sue him due to this intimidation. I urge each one to record on file such languages for accountability. We are not in 18 century, but 21 century where such lanaguage is not acceptable. Take example from industralized world. If parent abuse his/her own child just by word, government could brought that parent to justice.

Any country arresting Sudan president is our enemy; even in the time of civil war. Someone has to do it by our instruction and bring it back to us for trail in our soil. Not outsiders interest. We are not fighting to be a taitors.

      Dear Mr. President,
As a concerned south Sudanese, Iam expressing my deep concern over your statement regarding Uganda decision to apprehend Mr. Al Bashir if he steps in Uganda`s soil.If the SPLA army can withstand Bashir army and bring them to their knees as a guerilla movement, then how can the Ugandan defence forces not be able to teach Bashir army a lesson incase it embark in a war with Uganda.Militarily Mr. President, Ugandan army is far superior than Bashir army.Beside how could bashir even dare to attack Uganda, now that they don`t have any common borders.(unless you give then the greenlight to pass through South Sudan.Mr. President, we are expecting a war with the north as soon as we declare our independence in 2011 and we are expecting you to lead the south sudanese army in that war.We are expecting you to have the boldness and integrity of our fallen hero Dr. John Garang de Mabior.Mr. President, I do agree with you that when it comes to propaganda, the arabs can defeat any country in the world.Let me remind you of the six days war with Israel in 1967,the arabs have declared to annihilate the state of Israel, but what happened, they were crushed in six days.As our leader and commander in chief, I as concerned south Sudan advise your excellency not to implicate yourself with Al Bashir whose fate is already sealed.
