Libya denies Gadhafi’s support to South Sudan independence

July 2, 2009 (KHARTOUM) — Libyan embassy in Khartoum has denied the statements attributed to the First Vice-President Salva Kiir Mayadrit about the support of Libyan leader to Southern Sudan independence.

Earlier this week, Reuters reported that Salva Kiir told a Church congregation last Sunday he had secured a promise from Muammar Gadhafi to support southern Sudan independence.

The embassy said in a communiqué released on Thursday that if the statements attributed to Salva Kiir are accurate they would "reflect a significant misunderstanding and confusion that it will be difficult to accept."

"The Commander Gadhafi supports Sudan’s integrity, security and stability as well as its prosperity," the embassy said. The mission further added "he (Gadhafi) is currently leading political and historical dynamic for the unity of the entire African continent."

Southern Sudan, in accordance with the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, will hold a referendum in January 2011 on whether to create its independent state or remains part of the Sudan.

Rabi Abdel Atti, one of the Sudanese government negotiators of the CPA slammed the alleged Gadhafi’s support to the creation of an independent state in southern Sudan and considered it as "interference in Sudanese internal affairs."

He further added this Libyan move could affect the future of bilateral relations between the two countries but also the vote of southern Sudanese for the independence.

The government of southern Sudan keeps silence over the publication of the statements attributed to Salva Kiir.

I knew it.. Ghadhafi is crazy but not that crazy. When or if the South Secedes it will find many countries that presently hostile to Sudan will recognize and slowly but surely China will follow suit. However it will be confronted with many challenges not on the domestic front but mainly from outside, if South Sudan decides to divert the Nile water into a pipe for the consumption of Israel, Egypt will immediately go into a war with South Sudan. Secondly if South Sudan established diplomatic relations with Israel it can kiss Arab support goodbye, more so there will be an increase of retaliation from liberation fighters in the Middle East.

What kiss of Arab support goodbye are you talking about. It only you the footstools who are getting that "what you the Arab support" don’t think everybody would love to be a footstool for the Al Qaida component like you! Shutup your mendibles

Logic is back from long way down to see his ERM activties in the neighbouring countries

Oh Jesus dinkas are still sticking to their culture of being liars, Savage is this how you can claim yourself to be a real politician, great lier and not keeping a serect to yourself. If he does support the independence of South, so why did your ran around with such rumours in your lips? dinkas are the number one liars and arrogance who will never achieve any single step just because of your madness. You show and prove that your mad, lost and crap people in this World. Now let me give you a clue Mr savage or Slava your sitting on fire right now. If you don’t get my clue then wait for the consquences to your ribs. Why don’t you think back to Garang before you ran around like a lost sheep with fake statement. What do you benefit from passing balcony words, do you want to spill from the chair of GOSS or what is your exact dreams? my friend Mr savage if you don’t reduce those wrinkle on your face you will get the taste of acting barbaric.

Think and reason that, having a long tongue for passing stupid things whether it is part of your culture or something you just want to do for some advantages will turn to your ribs too dangerous. My question is, are you aware of what al bashir is thinking about you? since you ran around from here to there and coming with those illogic words. What i know about you is that you like to be proud of something without spontancity, be wise think, analysise and prove it yourself before raning around like mad chicken. Get rid of your mad and lost culture, act as a real politician. The choice is yours act and you will get the result to yourself, not far just like a word from your mouth. You already know the arabs how they find an answer to any kind of equation just in time.

Also you dumb Oshay that man is not as you think, he was telling the truth but just because he told an arrogance and member of mad community who does not know where he is heading. That talk was a political serect between two individual like how Bush was aganist his iraqi counterpart. So don’t talk like uncastrated sheep. Another point is that Kiir by himself is not aware of the game he is making jokes on, because now al bashir is aware of what he (kiir) is thinking. But he (kiir) doesn’t have any idea of what bashir is thinking. How do you interprete this statement? it is just like a baby and mother where the mother knows what the baby wants or plans but the baby knows nohing about his/her mother’s plans. Today get to know that Kiir is like a baby to Bashir because he prove it to the World. Not Kiir alone but his entire dinkas minsiters are the same like him too. Eg, Bona Malul, Deng Alor and others all babies. I advice you dinkas to comply to the rules of politics if you deserve to win.

      Mr. Logic,

You right, these people are bringing shame to the people of Southern Sudan by allowing this ’cow’ to rule us.

What a shame, what does this tell us about the future?

Will that man steps outside again, who will listen or whisper anything to such a character?

You are right. The problem with our so called GOSS president is that, he is premature in politics, can not analize what he hears, can not keep secrets and can not calculate the consequencies of his talks. Fake Dr.Salvatore is a curse to South Sudan. His only objective is to make NCP angry and forgeting his own people in The South, his day are numbered.

Keep your smelling mouth shut, although you can not hide your protruding agly teehth. You know nothing about politics. your days are numbered.

You will hear in few days that, Salvatre will not be allowed to give any speech in the church. If he really whants to address his people he should properly use the mass media, we can give him 15 minutes every day to address people on SSTV like what The late president Numeiri was doing during his rule, but I am sure he can not do it, it is too much for the fake President Dr. Salvatore.

    Hi readers,

It is ridiculas when we hear an Embassy which is suppose to repesent the interest of its government denouncing the statement of a Legistimate head of that country.

Colonel Gadaffi was in his senses when he made his statement, so not even the ambassador should reframe it.

Southern Sudanese Let Us stand firm for SELF DETERMINATION for the WHOLE WORLD IS BEHIND US WATCHING.

Separation of South Sudan from the rest of the country is the Soul of Lasting Peace in Sudan.

The strong supporters of the freedom of South Sudan are the People Of South Sudan themselves. The right to self determination was not brought about by Gadhafi or any other sate but by the will of the people of South Sudan to attain freedom in their land. It wouldn’t matter whether Libya pledges its support or not we are not going to stop working toward that noble goal.

Yes, it is not bad to have friends who support you in achieving your goals but you cannot place your hope on their support. So let Gadhafi be reminded that we fought for more than 20 years to reach this stage and we are determine to finalise it whether he supports us or not.

From the first time i read the article about the supposed pledge support by the Libyan president, I knew it was a wrong move by Kiir to make it public. There is something called secrecy in politics, you keep to yourself and your administration information that are sensitive, you just dont spilled everything like a mad man! Anyways its not so much about the support of Gadhafi, itself, but more of the image that it painted of the SPLM leader, a know nothing nut!

I hope this teach him and his inner circle a lesson. Grow up and be real politicians, this is time to use your medulla oblongata!!! God struck then with lightening!!
