Speaker of Southern Assembly begins SPLM mobilization tour

By Manyang Mayom

May 11, 2009 (WAU) — James Wani Igga, Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly Speaker and chairperson of the SPLM strategic mobilization campaign at the level of the Government of Southern Sudan, arrived in the capital of Western Bahr El-Ghazal on Monday and addressed supporters at Isaac football stadium.

He assured the SPLM supporters that the party will win the election, gearing the congregation up into clapping their hands and chanting “SPLM Oyee, SPLA Oyee, SPLM Oyee!”

Hon. Wani had held a similar rally in Lakes state last Tuesday in Rumbek Freedom Square before flying to Aweil in Northern Bahr El-Ghazal on Thursday for the same purpose. His tour is part of the launch of the SPLM strategic mobilization campaign for the coming general election in Sudan scheduled for February 2010.

Security was very tight in Wau, particularly at Isaac football stadium. Marketplaces, private institutions and public schools including government institutions were ordered to close down by the state government in order to welcome Hon. Wani to Wau for the first time.

The government of Western Bahr-El-Ghazal state has scheduled for Wani to hold a meeting with state government on Tuesday and state lawmakers too will meet the speaker before his flight to Juba, the capital of the semi-autonomous region of Southern Sudan, said an official.

SPLM, the political embodiment of the military insurgency that waged war against the government of Sudan for over two decades, has had particular strength in the Bahr El-Ghazal region.

    To Mr speaker

well done do it and it willl not take you even a single time to convince them because they are still your people nomater the hardship they are facing. it may take you time in equatoria to convince them because their mindset is that , any government whether current ,or the next will be always Dinka . they have lack of confident even their ministers in power will look at Dinka messenger in his office as better then himself. you need to make them undrstand that you are human being and southedrners like your brothers Dinka.

in Dinka states, unless you collide with opportunies ,the majority will support you to date. go first and make tour in dinka and Nuer land which will not take you three to four days but equatorians who still believe that Arab are better then ther brothers in the south need your full time specially Bari and zandi. Mundari are better , they can understand in short time if you convince their Lord clement Wani Konga.those are the challenge you will face.
go ahead and do the job. majority are with you already.
don’t waist your time with Idiots who may oppose you in your trip. God bless you
    thanks

This is good step, Igga is a good person, he can, yes he can mobilize good number of people unlike other worthless SPLA Members,he fit not just as Speaker but South Sudan President.
To Politica and Vinci, i personally disagrees with you, no one can say he want to annihilate other tribe in southern Sudan, secondly there is no political party which can just belong to one tribe or particular group of people in South Sudan but multi-Tribes is acceptable in Democratic political Arena of South Sudan.

It is true that you can’t take people to the city unless you bring them the city. This is a good step that Wani Igga is bringing wise idea of development to the jungle creatures, Let dude Kiir and his mad comrade such as Kuol of jungles state and etc learn from this. You lost and mad community of dinkas you talk rubbish about ruling South, who has ever made a trip across every state in south passing a wise idea like Wani Igga? sorry junglese it is hard to describe you with your crazy culture of killing people. Just pay attention to Equatorian people and copy each step not just stealing and roaming for food. But be carefully he after getting you out of jungle not any meants, don’t show any aggressiveness.

Dear compatriots, Let me be very explicit as I can. I am tired of unsrupulous citizens using vulgar language in discussion of crucial matters. We all know our country’s political climate is characterized with so many unacceptable
practices but we should be very careful when trying to address these issues because if we are not careful, another genocide will no doubt spear in South Sudan.

I personally have great respect for the members within our goverment structure however, I disagree with the system the gov’t is run because it has not tied its vision to the human desire for a better tomorrow of Southerners. And for those who claim to be our future leaders, you have to understand that leadership can’t be preached with hate simply because there is a problem instead it requires logical approach to pacicify the situation.

Enough is enough, If there is a primary one kid out there who understands foreign policy, national and homeland security, economic security and understands that southern Sudan must not cross the bridge of war, that will be the person I will vote for come 2010 and 11. why talk crap when you have millions of important things to do for your life?

If you want a chance in the future of south, then it is necessary for you to forget that you are from Equatoria, jongole, bar-elghazal,bor and so forth because if we keep thinking locally, we will not have 21st century economy, scholls, hospitals and roads. These are big challenges that require 21st century approaches.

You citizens are backing at each other yet our petrolium is being stolen every hour and soon you will see beiging heaven on earth. Dear citizens, let us unite in one course for a better tomorrow than making noise like empty tins.

Let us leave kiir live till 2011 and then we will go for the interlletual fight. It is time for us to build our credentials because we shall soon begin the journey of eradicating the tribalistic men who want to continue representing the kiir regime and finally destroy the future of South.

Good job Wani but you must encourage others to do the same because time is outcompeting us.

    Bizora 4rm maridi.

    approach
