Sudan’s Jonglei pledges excellent ties with Ethiopia’s Gambela

By Philip Thon Aleu

Gen. Kuol Manyang told over 1,400 Christians congregation, where a church choir (photo) entertained him, that there is one way to development and stopping insecurity caused by pastoralists.

“If you obey our orders, respect plans and give-in full courage, we shall prosper,” he said.

Cattle keepers from Jonglei that have crossed to Ethiopia will return and be disarmed, he said. Governor of Unity State Taban Deng Gai, Government of Southern Sudan Minister of Regional Cooperation Barnaba Marial Benjamin and representatives Eastern Equartoria State (EES) also attended the peace held in Ethiopia.

According to Governor Kuol, some cattle keepers from Akobo and Murle in Jonglei and more from Unity and EES are allegedly responsible for triggering insecurity through cattle raiding and clashes over pasture.

Roads connection has started in Gambela and Jonglei contracted ASCOM Oil Company to commence work in days after State minister signed the deal at Government of Southern Sudan’s Headquarters in Juba, the governor added.

The governor assured citizens of Jonglei of excellent peace and economics ties with Ethiopia once this entire (plan) is implemented.

In a related inter-state relationship, GoSS has contracted China Constructing Company to build bridge at Pariak (20 miles South of Bor Town) that will link Jonglei to Lakes State, Mr. Manyang said.

In a course to realized development, Governor Kuol believes that not all people will be happy.
He says some people hates government officials for being stick adding that orders must be followed to assume progress. He urged the applauding congregation to preach message of unity, love and peace for all in Jonglei state.

“It is our responsibility to bring peace, unity and development. To achieve these; obey orders,” Mr. Manyang lamented.

The governor once again hailed Nuer Lou for accepting peaceful resolutions to May, 2008 cattle warring and promised a visit shortly. “If we are all people of Jonglei. Nuer, Bor, Murle, Anyuak and so on.”

Southern Sudanese pursuing higher education in Ethiopia will paid the same tuition fees as their Ethiopians counterpart; Governor Manyang unveiled another part of the deal reached.

He enlightened how East African Countries of Kenya and Uganda over charged Southern Sudanese and hails Ethiopia for a brotherhood character shown. “We are one with Ethiopia,” he said.

    Hi Folks

Many days of missing many of you in this web site, I hope some of you also miss your Faithful James James who took his grandma this days to Dubai for treatment.

Yet, I want to say hi to Sudantribune moderators though some of them had unbelievably erased my articles without apparent issue.

Anyway, I want to thank Mr. Kuol for his attempt to bring lasting peace to Jongolei residents. Peace is the only option for every creature on earth here. For sure,if Mr. Kuol want to approach people of Jongolei without hiden tribalistic agendas, I think tomorrow Jongolei will be the best and the peaceful state in the whole of Southsudan, am serious. This is not my first time to say this.

However, I would like to warn Mr. Kuol to be aware of those who are feeding him with bogus information or reports against other communities. A lot of people claim that some Murle are crosssing into Ethiopia, that is completely flate lies that don’t need even discussion. For centuries, Murle have been moving during dry seasons to Bor areas for fresh water through River Nile, some do move to River Jom(horse in Murle) between Anyuak and Murle border, almost 80% of the Murle population flock around rivers within central Murle terretories.

What all of us want to know is whether number of civillians from Nuer or Anyuak had crossed to Ethiopia to escape disarmament.

So, Mr. Kuol, Please don’t give slide outlet to those who are infested by tribalism, hatred, greed, majoritarrianism, nepotism, and simply foolhardy to derail your nationalistic strategies. I don’t believe in raiding and selling of kids as means to the richest. Those who practice such kind of heanious crimes may not even come close to the lifetime wealth rather than just creation of disabilization and destruction of innocent lives in the region.

In conclusion, Biar, Truson, Liber, Kout, Logic and other devil-hearted boys must come to chris next sunday for the lord to convert them from evil deeds to the spiritual behaviours.

I hope everybody Love to read my comments.

    God bless.

      Dear James James

James James, the days when you were off web we missed you I lot.
But, why do you want to deceive that you took your Grandma for treatment when you were in Pibor for raiding.
The days you were not commenting we experienced insecurity here in Jonglei and the last two days insecurity is not longer there.
James, if fact do you mean that there is not internet services in Dubai.
You just tell us that you were in your village which is as remote as you.
You went to raid because life in town was hard and you decided to go and get one such that you will have access to town services and internet too.

James James what sort of sickness did you take your Grandma for Dubai if real?
Non of your relative has been to big Town and your Grandma with bad smell will not be allowed to use public mean like Airplane because of the irritated smell since it take you a year to bath.
Your Grandma was sick since when you were not born and I don’t think that she will be able to get treatment though what hospital you may take her.
She has been experiencing all type of STDS and it is hard to be treated.
Better you raid for her enough cattle such that she will bless you when she will die.

James James, where did you get the money to fly to Dubai when other ministers of GOSS has not even reached.
Or where did you get the market for the raided cattle you raided from BOR last year?
Please don’t joke around I know your root.

Governor Kuol is the best leader that the people of Jonglei have ever seen and he will work tirelessly to bring peace to those in Jonglei.
But James, if the Disarmament is done where will you get the cattle and the children since most of your people are affected by the chronic STDS that make them not to produced.
All your people are infertile due to eating of uncooked meat and the blood of cattle.
Please the world is changed and you are the one to educate your people of the bad act the are doing.
Do you know the reason God sent you to school, is to change the backward community like murle and I hope you will not end up chase after people’s cattle for survival.
      Please reform.
      God bless you.

The writer is well best in the history of the Sudan.

      Son of the soil.

    Kuol Manyang
,Hey man when did you come to realised that people of EES were among cattle riding group and East African are bad places, please don’t turn blind to innocent EES people, without East Africa who has offer a great number of your people to go abroad where would they remain if such ideas where introduced since.please i advice you that,it is good if you can keep teaching your people who are cattle riders not to mention any.Don’t ever talk like this to those who has done a great point to your people who are now sending money to jonglei from USA,Europ,Aus and etc.Where did you get this chance of enjoying yourself without the ambitioon of Kenya helping Garang with facilities for siging the CPA.How about the Jonglei refugees who were secured in Adjumani,Rhino camp and Ikeaf while Kenya was keeping a largest number in kakuma, including your children or relatives beside the whole tribe.show some respect to those have done their effort in supporting you during the worst situation.

Pliz famous logic boys, it is some time good if you know what you are talking about. The case of East Africa Countries that Kuol was talking about is completely right. If you have not been to Kenya then you better keep silent. The case of Boys going to aboard is not from Kenya nor any of east Africa country.

Famous logic Boy, if you don’t really now, then let me inform you that Kenyan are like white persons who work for gain. our being in Kenya also help Kenyan making life out of us. must of Kenyan were praying that peace will not come to Sudan. Look, Turkana cerebrate on Abyei fighting of SPLA AND SAF. that Sudanese are coming back to be refugees again.

So if we compare Ethiopia and other East Africa Country than the different is known by those who started the bush life and finished it to this end.And it is clear how Ethiopian stood with SPLA/M to the end and forget our did to them.
so brother, you must know who is bro and who can stand with you to the end.

          Mr Famous Big_logic,

I call it madness and still I don’t really know whether you have been to east Africa. I would have ask you but I will never ask you because you may not answer me.I have been to east Africa and was mistreated but I have to forget because the God who is in heaven will revenge for us.

Our eyes are open and completely open.you may be right because some of our brothers and sisters are blinded.
and you are good example of them, if you can’t know how much we suffered.the statement of feeding Dog repaired to you

otherwise, I will pray for those who are blinded so that God of Sudan open their eyes and see far.

Hey stop your rubbish on this site, your just bullshiting of today .What do you know really?how about the crsis of chasing people right from Keri,Ikafe,Adanga, and Gweng since 1993 where you there?,how many lives where lost during that time by those Gorogoro lead by a cammader Bamuje from Yumbe district which once brought back home by a strongly policy of Kaguta Museveni.I was not there but all the remours that came from there were truth incidence which had happened, don’t just talk of your coward raning from kakuma without any reason and lying to people.Have you ever escaped from a bullet?,let me remain you that those incidence in Kenya were just for political campaign where the civilians has teken it into tribal revenage, please you better study the history of East Africa those crsis has no relation to refugees it is just like when elephants are fighting the effects are affecting the grass. Therefore you better go to St Lowanga in Koboko or St Josepi (Ombachi) in Arua so that you can get a better edecation other than your interrupted school in kenya streets.Don’t think you little edecation which you had stolen under trees in kakuma has anything to do with in Southern Sudan.I would have direct you to a better place for better future, but it seem as am laughting at you in fact the fees is suprising to people like you,so just to give you a piece of clue i mean to send you to study at Vienna College Namugongo in Kampala not your street education in kakuma.

Out of research, some other state governors did not have their names appeared in this web since its creation. Does it mean that there are probably two governors in Sudan? One being popular Kuol of Jonglei state and rarely Wani of CES.

This is not Kuol’s or Wani’s web.
Or does it mean that other governors are not delivering what is expected of them in their various states?

Bravo, Kuol for the spirit of hard work and progress you are showing to your people in Jonglei irrespective of tribal difference. When people do not talk about you either negatively or positively, then you are hopeless in that community. So do what is necessary to develop Jonglei.

Welcome back Mr fox, James James.

The idea of governor Kuol to bring back the citizens of Jonglei is a significance move ever done in the state. Nevertheless, it is a universal believe for every creature to be in peace except some few dacoits who have adopted the life of parasitism, (it is not an abuse Mr). Note only that, regarding the issue of those evil-hearted, "he who tells others about evil’s deeds is the first and most harming", that is a little of what you have said about me.

Further still, the issue of insecurity at the border side of Ethiopia has raised a higher degree of concern recently and the victims were found to be South Sudan cattle herders. Therefore, it is a task of some one like governor to take unique measures inorder to see his people are under control. Having wind up with that, it’s clear that those bordering Ethiopia are the one that might have travelled cross country due to dry season seeking pastures and water for their animals. So Mr James the war of fierce words will not build a hut, so let’s merge to pursue prosperity for development and for peace.

Thanks for having let me know where you have been, since i guessed before that you might have been under confinement by your hotel’s boss. (you know it’s one of the tediou work among others). This is a result of my observation when i visit the hotel i find waiters are swaying like loose leaves in the air), so take it easy that’s how life goes.

Welcome back from Dubai and have a good luck.

    Dear functaul Boy,

Other governers are doing rubbish that why you don’t get any report about them on this site.

Take example of your Wani, last week Menderi guys took their pangas and rushed to custom market in Juba. They started cutting Dinkas in the market for no reason. Your naively Wani took no action against the mad guys he governed, so menderis terrorised the market for good two days. Such things are shamefull to report, that why you can see some of our well quelified journalists keeping their ink out in Equatoria and other part of South where governere had no direction. Do you see that funny story??. the above is not abuse but the truth all that I had witnessed in Juba.

I said Bravo to JUUK for the Job well done. Jonglei used to be and still shall be a living example to the rest of Southern Sudan states. Go a head Juuk with your clear and clean vision of good governance.

    Be blessed.
Agut-tungduon,a man far away from tribalism.
