During an official visit to Iran in mid January 2007 Sudanese defence minister, Abdelrahim Mohamed Hussein signed a military cooperation agreement with his Iranian counterpart.

The talks between the Sudanese and Iranian sides touched upon ways to enhance military cooperation between the Sudanese and Iranian armies in the fields of military technology and the exchange of expertise and training.

Iran’s Minister of Defense, Mustafa Mohamed-Najjar arrived today in Khartoum, at the head of a high-ranking delegation in a four-day official visit.

During his last year visit to Iran, the Sudanese minister inspected Iran HESA aircraft manufacturing industries and got a first-hand look at the specialized, scientific achievements of the complex. Hussein described as very good, the production of Iran-140 aircraft as well as design and manufacture of different kinds of helicopters.

Welcoming the Iranian minister, Hussein pointed out that the Sudanese-Iranian relations are considered as model relations, indicating that the visit comes in the framework of the exchange of visits between the two countries, referring to a visit he paid to Iran.

He further said that the visit avails an opportunity to boost further the relations between Sudan and Iran.

Hussein reaffirmed Sudan’s stance rejecting imposing sanctions on Iran as development of the Islamic Republic of Iran to its nuclear programme is for peaceful purposes, saying that "the Zionist entity is the one who develops nuclear technology for military purposes."

The Iranian Defence Minister, on his part, expressed hope that the visit would boost further the relations between the two countries, pointing that the strategies of Iran includes boosting security and stability in the world and in the region in particular.

The Iranian minister denounced the massacres being committed by "the Zionist military machine against the innocent Palestinian people in Gaza and the Palestinian territories."

Khartoum is really wasting the nation’s resources...they are like whores being fucked by China, Russia, Turkey and as if not satisfied, now Iran! If this regime is seeking any peaceful settlement to the mess they created half a century ago, why would they be cowardly busy looking for weapons of mass destruction?

It is clear that the real stupid jihad is coming soon and all of us must be prepared for the worst!

And to my learned friend who just commented before me, SPLA is not stealing any money....infact, there is no money to be stolen because the meagre money that trickles in is still being controlled by Khartoum! Khartoum holds the treasury and knows exactly how much it gets from the oil and any other national revenues....It wants to make sure that the SPLA don’t get enough in order not to purchase any anti-aircraft or anti-tank misiles! It is critical...

I have agreed with snapy Diddy, that Sudan gov is wasting the $$$$$$$$$$$ on military equipments that cannot fire themselves. Khartoum been so busy buying weapon from China, Russia,Iran, Turkey, Syria, Egypt and pakistan, all these weapons are being bought to committed killing on civilian in Darfur, South n East of the country, but khartoum will never won this war even if the can purchased (ICBm)Intercontinental Ballastic missiles. would be better if khartoum is buying these weapons to fight egypt who have been very busy too killing the escaped refugees.

Very critical to your point that,

Southerners in particular it’s experienced leaders are engrossed in money loundering for building hotels and purchasing complicated balloons without knowing that all those hotels will be destroyed by the Iranian ,Chinese,Russians Aircrafts bulletsand those balloons will have no space to move or rather find their ways to the neighbouring countries .

When will Salva build and boost military bilateral relations with Isreal,US and the like to acquire more of such Advanced Aircrafts?. That is why he is going to Uganda to prepare a place for his wife and children to run if the worse come to the worse.Instead of going to Kenya to dicuss the Issue of the conviscated Guns, He just aimlessly boots to Uganda for unreasonable and uneconomical visits finishing the left overs of our resources posted from Khartoum Centra Bank to GoSS Bank. Shame on you Southern Sudan militery Leaders. You started imprisoning well known Military architects ,the like of those of Mj. General Mobuto Mamur etc, you thought that Northerners have abundoned down their guns and you want to bring to the spotlight what has been unknown differences ?. I am telling you, all of us will get neck to neck with those Idiots in the North ,with every body including the president, children and women.Untill when shall we fear to die or shed our bloods in the course of bringing our land back from the Khartoum’s Government?.War is War ,and the only good human being is the dead one.We are remembering our fallen heros and heroes because they have done a lot in the struggle for liberation, that is why we are singing and jubilating for this fragile CPA ,which we are not certain for it’s execution. Leave Corruption at the moment though it is already entered deep in bloodstreams of others, the worse will be when the little garden will no longer be productive, how will you feed your big bellied stomarchs?.

Any reply to my comment is welcomed .

Can kenya government block military boost between two Devils Iran and NIF regimes in protection of the CPA as it did to South Sudan government? Or is it going to release the weapons it confisicated which were aimed to protect the CPA? The position taken by NIF regime is not surprise to me because of its nature. They came to power through the ballots of gun so, with most sophiscated guns they believe they could stay for one more day. Also, two regimes are identicals, they are the most notorious, human rights violaters and world most hated regimes ever. And it could be a reaction to SLM/A openning its office in Tel Aviv. I don’t doubt any military ally between evil forces, and as they are evils without legitimate rights to kill people of Sudan, they will be defeated.

  • If the past allegation of SPLA military hardware confiscation by Kenyan port authorities in Mombasa is true. Then the self appointed president of Kenya Hon Mwai Kibaki should approach his counterpart in Sudan to tell him that they’re in breach of the CPA or else he’ll impose a "no fly zone" on Sudanese airspace!
