South Sudan Rumbek graduated 120 prisons guard’s soldiers

March 27, 2007 (RUMBEK) – Thousand of people gear up in Rumbek Freedom Square spreading out the traditional dances to independently celebrate the graduations ceremony of their sons and daughters yesterday in Rumbek.

Lakes State government yesterday host prisons graduated of 120 officers including NCOs and men in Rumbek freedom square. The graduations ceremony was attended by many intellectual people and International organization, UNMIS, NGOs, and local civil authority in Lakes state.

The graduations is composed of 30 young officers prisons and 90 NCOs including women as while one person immediately collapse during long standing in Freedom Square which was started since morning at six O’clock in morning waiting the remarks speeches from Lakes State government which is commanded by Lt.Gen Daniel Awet Akot and his deputy Awan Guol Riak, vise Lakes State Legislative Assembly.

According to the deputy governor and state minister of Local government law enforcement agencies of Lakes State Awan Guol Riak told the public at Rumbek freedom square that this graduation of third unit of prisons is most blessing to our community who had never expertise they powers of laws and orders in this state, now the law and order has been call back to reinforces by all of us without delayment my people of beloved county of Lakes State and elsewhere of Lakes State people stakeholders in government.

Awan Guol lastly says that your government is protecting the citizens of this state by providing 100% security system in patrolling town nigh and day “there is nothing that you people should still to carry the guns around town here” we do see that person carrying the guns in town as a violations to state authority.

Within the ceremony speeches where deliever by State authority and some UN representatives in Lakes state, according to Lt.Gen Daniel Awet Akot Thuou, say that with this third ceremony of PRISONS graduations in Rumbek always give him hope and law to be restored back to justice although Lakes state where been subjected into state of problems by our newborn state, but now no longer that problems of insecurity in our state anymore. We are protected by the government of South Sudan (GOSS) and we are protecting you people of Lakes state, “Daniel Awet says”.

Daniel Awetdit also added that Lakes State with this third ceremony of prisons graduation unit” will spread out peace and unity in Lakes. There will be no more escaping for the prisoners in jail or anywhere they are close under arrest. His concluding that there will be lasting disarmament in this state and with results of 3606 guns that we had disarms last month will not linkage out again in the store as well prisons people will guard them to their respective boxes on whatsoever condition come, “those guns are protected by law”.

Lakes state governor Lt.Gen Awet Akot claimed that” there are people who like to speak out on government basically on native part quoted which is not any longer needed by this present government, there is now government and law to guide both of us into justice way that we like to fights with. Nobody again needed to create her own problem and sooner to blame the government while government has no part on her mistake. Your present government of Lakes state today will be just to focus on development and nice wave-way to go ahead with educations systems in Lakes.

Your state government will be many concerns with construction of hospital, clinic, healthcare centers in Lakes, educations, cultural centre, sports and your government needs your hand supports too. There will be no more threat from any SPLA patrolling team in town now because prisons and policemen will takeover the town commands into law and order.
