Egyptian PM to visit Sudan in mid-February

Feb 2, 2007 (CAIRO) — Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Nazef will visit Khartoum in mid-February, leading the country’s delegation to the fifth higher Egyptian-Sudanese committee, the official news agency MENA reported Friday.

The session will discuss how to activate joint cooperation agreements and programs signed in the fields of trade, investment, industry, electricity, energy, oil and gas, transport and housing and utilities.

Nazef’s accompanying delegation will include ministers of irrigation, investment, trade and industry, and agriculture as well as a number of businessmen.

Egypt, which shared the important Nile River with Sudan, has a close relations with its southern neighbor.
