Sudanese second vice-preisdent receives NDA ministers

Dec 19, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha received at his office at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers Monday the ministers of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Government of National Unity.

Following the meeting, Lt. Gen. Saeed explained that the meeting tackled the importance of the current stage Sudan is passing now under the Government of National Unity that requires consolidation of the efforts of all people of Sudan.

The meeting also discussed the mechanism of the work of the ministers and coordination and cooperation between the ministries for the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and realization of the building of the new Sudan besides the mechanisms of coordination between the ministries and the southern Sudan states in particular.

The ministers of NDA in the Government of National Unity affirmed their readiness to work in their ministries in cooperation and coordination with other ministries and boost implementation of CPA, democratic transformation and realization of national unity.

The NDA ministers are Lt. Gen. Abdelrahman Saeed, Minister of Science and Technology, and Hamid Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister for Education and the state minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Abdelrahim Ali Hamd.
