Nov 2, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — A new Sudanese party called the Green Party will be launched soon after the end of the holidays of the end of Ramadan, the Khartoum based al-Watan reported.
The new party includes a number of scientists and others working in the field of the environment.
They are headed by Prof Mohamed Abdallah al-Rayah, Nasreldin Shulgami, Mustafa Wad-al-Mamur and Prof Asim Maghrabi and others.
Al-Watan’s investigations have revealed that, in the last few days, a group of the party’s leaders met the registrar of political parties and organizations, Mohamed Ahmad Salim.
During the meeting, the registrar asked leaders of the Green Party to prepare the party’s manifest in order to begin registration procedures and to announce the party after Id-al-Fitr.
