February 2, 2012, (KUAJOK) - The governor of Warrap, Nyandeng Malek Delic on Thursday called the Government of South Sudan to disarm the civil population in the neighbouring Unity State.

In the attack on Warrap state on 30 January 79 people were killed and 75 wounded Delic told Sudan Tribune on Thursday.

The wounded are receiving treatment at Rumic hospital in Tonj East.

She said that insufficient police forces had been brought to bring calm to the area.

The border between Tonj East of Warrap state and Unity state remains fragile despite the recent tour of minister of interior, Alison Manani Magaya, who urged the citizens of the nation to remain in peaceful.

The state minister of parliamentarian affairs, Achol Chyer Rehan, condemned the clash.

Rehan told Sudan Tribune on Tuesday that the people of Unity state should be disarmed like the population of Warrap state and that the Tonj East county needs more protection.

A member of the Warrap state legislative assembly for the Twic West constituency, who is also the chairperson of human rights specialised committee, Achai Arop Deng, said the raid allegedly committed by people from Unity was an "inhuman, barbaric act".

She said the government is looking to resolve all the grievances and to prosecute all those guilty of involvement in the attack.

These kind of leaders don’t really know how to secure the civillians. Yesterday, they said the killers dressing uniform. today, governor said civillians carrying attack. You are lacking of strategies of security.

Now is 6 yrs since cattle wrestling experienced between Unity state and Warap state. Why not deploy security from warap border to lake and the same to Unity state to prevent unknown attack if you are serious about security of civillian. Kiir must pay attention to these leaders. Some are against his leadership.

    Dear Warrap Citizens,
Bear the situation although we are encountering so many problems in the state, we will blame nobody but our selves for having voted a voiceless and toothless governor who cares less for our matters. The governor beliefs in seeing rather than hearing and take action, how can we lost 79 people because of an individual`s weakness? we will soon decide to bring a careful leader

I said earlier when this failure governor was disarming those civilians that disarming one party without making sure the other is being disarmed would definitely send signal to the other counterparts for more attack since they have fully learnt of being powerless. why disarm in the first place if u wont protect them? Nyandeng is a disappointment failure in that part of the region.

I really doubt about their capability of resovling problem.

A young man married four wives after being assigned as a minister of Warrap state blackmailed an Amercian South Sudanese businessman last year in Juba, and illegally detained him with fully armed soldier.

Although Salva Kiir noticed this scandal, this young man goes free, and stayed in his position.

Can we really counting on these guys

Being a neighbor of Nuer and murle you will be like a person who live with a snake (cobra) hole within his/ her compound because they are parasite people they should not live without somebody property. Also they like fish, fish cannot live without water the same Nuer and Murle will not sirvive without looting.

I`m really appealing to the government of south Sudan leadership to look into this issue of civilian killing themselves.image that if people are just dying on dailly bases like eatings breakfast, lunch and dinner. How do you feel leaders toward such bad situation which have no end ?.when the time of elections come you need people to vote for you and you don`t like to protect their life.

Are these Murle again?!If not why not revealing their identity instead of increminating the Murle an accusation which lead mass killing of civillians from both sides and enslavement hundreds of childrens.Or is it another tribe, do they have sexually transmitted disese preventing them from producing children like the Murle as Sava Kiir claimed.Facts and addressing the root of the problems is vital.

      Mohammad Ali,
Does it ease your pain when you hear crisis in the South? How about your terrorist NIF bombing Northern civilians on constant basis, is that something not worth sympathizing about if all you’re trying is that.
