January 5, 2012 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese government on Thursday filed a complaint with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) claiming that the Sudan People Liberation Movement North (SPLM-N) have forcibly recruited 900 children from South Kordofan state.

The Secretary General of the Sudanese National Council for Child Welfare, Gamar Khalifa Habani, was quoted by local media as saying that SPLM-N moved the children away from their original areas and sent them to training camps.

Habani said that some of the kids were transferred to South Sudan describing this as a breach of their rights and a violation of international conventions in this regard.

During her meeting with UNICEF representative in Sudan, Nils Kastberg, she called on the world body and the United Nations Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict to investigate these allegations.

Kastberg promised to escalate the matter to the UN Secretary General for action.

The SPLM-N has been battling the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) in the border states of South Kordofan and Blue Nile.

The United Nations in the past has said that rebels and pro-government militias in Sudan’s western region of Darfur have been actively recruiting children since the conflict broke out in 2003.

Another NIF propaganda. NIF is using all avenues to cover up their failure. NIF terrorists must know that their days are numbered. They oppressed are tired and they will explode like volcanic eruption in no time and you will be swept into the ocean. South sudan must step up their support for the oppressed people of the sudan.

That is extremely concocted a lair ,when did you visit the SPLM/A controlled areas and find out that SPLA are recruiting children in SKS ? The Nuba children who went to
Southern Sudan went for studies, since NCP start bombarding indiscriminately the civilians in Nuba. This is sign of frustration from the ongoing battle in SKS,
pliz stop complaining and quit Nuba land or else you will quit Sudan !

Of course, there are more universities in Khartoum, but your terrorist politicians now resort to anything even they are now inventing and injecting AIDS/HVs into opposition university students through infected needles and razer blads. This is scaring guys. Let Mohammed deny this, but I have a good research about it.

When children always see their parents being oppress, they can take arms to defend the right of their people. I think Khartoum is filing a baseless complaint. Mr, bashir restore peace if you don’t want to see children being recruited as child soldiers. They are fate up of your opression.
