KHARTOUM, Sudan, Mar 31, 2005 (PANA) — Dawls, a German library ship, has
been refused permit to dock by Sudanese authorities at
Port Sudan, the country’s main seaport, an official source
said here Wednesday.
The ship was, however, re-directed to Suwakin, 60 km east
of Port Sudan.
The source declined to explain circumstances that led the
action.
Dawls is a library vessel containing thousands of books
and is considered one of the German cultural institutions,
sailing around the world rendering services to clients
