August 6, 2011 (LONDON) – The Sudan People’s Liberation Army-(SPLA) fighting the troops of North Sudan in South Kordofan have released photographs and video purporting to show their spoils.

The SPLA of South Kordofan have been in conflict with North Sudan’s troops since just prior to the secession of South Sudan on 9 July. Many people from South Kordofan fought with the SPLA in the 22 year civil war between North and South Sudan. The new state border puts South Kordofan in North Sudan.

There have been widespread allegations of atrocities committed by North Sudan’s army, the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) in the conflict.

In a press statement released on 1 August the SPLA claimed the following victories:

Attacked SAF forces in Salara on 10 July SPLA, seizing two large tank carriers, one long-range radio, three machine guns, six boxes of mortar shells, and three boxes of ammunition.

Destroyed part of Kadugli, the state capital, runway on 26 July, rendering it unusable for large aircraft.

Defeated Peter Gadet’s militia in Kranjo Abdalla and wounding his brigadier, Tomas Teil.

Attacked SAF base in Alahmar on 28 July. SAF sustained heavy loses. Seized two armoured vehicles, four landcruiser pickups mounted with doshkas, small weapons and munitions

Gunned down SAF armoured helicopter in Um Thoran on 28 July.

These victories and evidence of them have not been authenticated, but they act as a indication of the SPLA’s media savviness.

There is currently a media blackout in South Kordofan; few journalists have been able to gain access to the area. Therefore coverage is being mainly based upon eyewitness accounts and satellite imagery.

The evidence to support the case that Khartoum’s military are committing atrocities in South Kordofan is overwhelming, but it not known on what scale it is taking place.

Irrespective, the rhetoric and actions of the international community has been markedly insipid.

The UK Foreign Secretary was “shocked” by reports of SAF’s indiscriminate aerial bombardment and individuals being targeted based on their ethnicity or political affiliation. He went on to “condemn” the prevention of humanitarian aid entering the area.

The US Secretary of State was “very concerned” about “Tens of thousands of people have been driven from their homes, and [...] reports of very serious human rights abuses.”

The UN has called upon the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the conflict. However, North Sudan is ruled by a man with an ICC arrest warrant against his name and the recently “elected” governor of South Kordofan is wanted for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Although the US President said of South Kordofan in June, “those who flout their international obligations will face more pressure and isolation and they will be held accountable for their actions,", inertia prevails.

The military balance is weighted so heavily in Khartoum’s favour the dissemination of pro-SPLA propaganda into the international arena is indicative of a military which wants support; they are not about to lay down their arms, on the contrary, they are stockpiling.

Government of Southern Sudan need to realized that Bashir is seeking attention from other countries... So, to attack Nubians people means, that many countries like American and Great Britain will now come and solve the problem and then Bashir will say what he wants..Which is something like release sanctions. They are empty useless people who need to be ignore. So my advise to the Government is, please organize some volunteers work throughout Southern Sudan...Let people contribute, let them grow corps along the Nile, let them do anything possible that will empower Southern Sudan..And show Bashir that we are people of dignity and will not give anything to a criminal...I want to let People in Khartoum know that these are not the last days on earth..We will revenge one day!!!!!!!

Bravo our gallant SPLA-NS forces! We may have been divided by invisible border but we remain one...we share the same believe and ideals about what Sudan we want to see. It is the responsibility of all marginalized forces to unite under one SPLM/A Northern Sector and secure a truly NEW SUDAN that will maintain brotherly relations with the RSS. As long as the NCP remains in power in Khartoum, marginalized groups will continue to face extermination and ethnic cleansing. RSS will continue to suffer economic blockade that is killing trade and brotherly relations between the RoS and RoSS.

I don’t understand and I will never understand why Nuer people help Arab always in a battles with Africa people in Sudan.
Now, according to this article said SPLA-N defeated Peter Millitia in South Kordofan, what are they fighting for over there? If they have problem with SS government and Dinka, please fight them in Southern Sudan instead of South Kordofan. Why Nuer people always have a heavyhand of killing their Africa people than Arab folks?

      Deng II,

Here’s what you should know right from now: Naath for food brother, that’s their motto. They don’t whether you’re a Southerner or a Northerner provide that you availed them with something to eat then they won’t hesitate to fight for you as long as food is there for them. Simple as that!

        Antitraitors

I am so frustrating of what we can do right now, since Arab Government in Khartoum block oil to be sell to abroad, so that we can get more money where by we would buy a lot food to feed Nuer. I wish I would have more food to feed Nuer upto her anus canal cervix tear apart.
Antitraitors, assume that I have more food to give Nuer, will they help me to defeat Arab a long the border, because mojarity people a long the border are Dinka and chuilok people?.

          Deng11,
First of all read my name to understand what it means after that read my comments too.

Of course you are anti-traitors and i am anti-slaves.Are we serving the same goal not?
There are good and bad Naath at the same time.please don’t generalized all Naath community under some slicker’s game.
there is no doubt that some of them are quisling towards their own personal gain than to serve their own people or South Sudan at large. But We can can also acknowledge the good works done by some of their leaders who genuinely saved our country’s interest than their very stomach fulfillment.I have quoted comrade James Hoth Mai who told Madaraat recruits that the Country is more important than my stomach.

Let us convene together to condemn what is wrong than to fight a tribal wars, which will never end as far as i can see.You can see Peter Gadet has just came back alone leaving his backbone in the wilderness, carrying only for his own throat as said by brother SSLA supporter though the name sound ugly,he still commented well like a real nationalist in two consecutive days.Such people longs for their own business, that’s where the word came about when was first coined by the Ethiopian president Mengistu Haile Mariem calling those of Anya- nya2 as those who walked around for their own self interest than their people or country’s interests.

I am very Happy and excited to our gallant forces in Jubaal Nuba for their outstanding victory over our common enemy.Even though they are inflicted with loses by bombardment, they are winning on the ground as you can see the evidence for their victory.keep it up SPLA north sector[division 9].

            Dhalaluak
In Dinka language, your name is boy in the Hous/building/hurt or whatever. My interpretation is base on if you are from Dinka, but I am not gonna/going to second guess your an implication about the meaning of your name please.

Look fellow, my insulting to all Nuer will never break the bones of Nuer, but collaboration with Arab is getting into the nerve and keep breaking the bones of Africa people by killing them and keeping South Sudan facilitise saves for Arab North, such as oil, places, and etc.

Dhalaluak, can you tell me why are they(Nuer)fighting in South Kordofan? and why are they(Nuer)so an enthusiastically to fighting a long side Arab with Nuba people? What are thier objectives to achieve over there? To my point of view, they have no single reason to achieve over there, just to give Arab people upperhand to killing Nuba.

I belivered that some of them (Nuer) are good, but few in number, because history cannot repeating itself every single day since 1983 where majority of Nuer fighting a long sides Arab. Every body keeping citing James Hoi, is’t the only person among millions of Nuer to be liberator?

              DengII,
Because you are a muonyjang/Jieng like me,i’m going to debate much with you you since you don’t know THUONGJANG/THONGMUONYJANG.I already interpreted what my names stand for.It is a compound word meaning that two words put together thus DHAL+ALUAAK in Thuongjang. But you poorly said it’s a boy in the house, which is not unless you are not a dinka[but i don’t believed the use of the word dinka which you don’t even know its meaning and how it came about]that’s i used muonyjang/jieng instead. Therefore, the boy in the house is called dhung ee tik/dhung bai.

We have some traitors like Athor and Ayii etc,who also collaborated with the jalaba. And many of whom deserted the SPLA/M since 1985 and run to khartoum as dinka but were not cited as a whole dinka in general term but they hailed from dinka.I have an extensive record historically to back you up but i can’t do that because i don’t motivate problems but rather solve them.can you tell me Why dinka say these:
Mac aye liu ne mac[the fire is Quench with fire]
Kou aye kool ne kou[Thorn is remove with thorn]
Can you add fuel/wood to quench the burning fire or can you you knife or sphere/arrow to remove the thorn or pliers to pull it?

We need to work together in order to for us to build a strong unity of our people[South Sudan Nation] rather than encouraging tribalism, which gives us negative effect.

Please Deng, don’t wrangle with me.I am Amuonyjang like you body.If you were a soldier,James Hoth was not the only one.
Do you know who killed a traitor, who often times terrorized our troops in Kapeota[traitor’s name is Majok],Who claimed to have his whole body[from his toes to head]by the jalaba? He was killed by Nuer in the SPLA,who was transferred from Juba deployment. If you listened to Panchol song, the guy he called CDR is from Nuer, ask people around you to tell you,who CDR is.

There are good and bad Nuer where i live.but That does not make whole bad.The guy,who called himself Nomlawda used three words[compound]nom-head , law-free and da-our,which become nomlawda[our freedom] when put together.

Know that we are not using tit for tat here but condemn what is wrong. When the wounds are healed, you cannot scrap them again. So let forgive but not to forget the past though.
I am a true Jieng who have been groomed with cares that’s why i don’t cites myself traitors/slaves but criticized their wrong doings.Don’t be angered by my response.
              Peace!!!!

(Dhal-Aluak) simply means no respect to slave!
If you’re a Dinka as I am, you’ll say yes, that’s its meaning.

peter Gadet is not all about Nuer tribe at large.

If you want to talk about Gadet just go and deal him individual and not as Nuer community.
How about George Athor from Dinka tribe????????????????????.
            ?????????????.
did/had/have anyone point his/her finger to Dinka community at large as cursed community in south sudan???
No one about Dinka as bad tribe or generalized every community at large rather than dealing with rebels.
            Wake up you fool.

Iam not against NUER i was writing about Gadet and i forgot to mention the rest of Southern Leaders who rebel for their family support. like Gadet,Ayii,Athor,Monytuil and the rest. On Dinka Dominate side i have already condem his hatred against NUER. i was supporting him on Gadet side. I myself iam Ameer Four of INTeFATHER BATTLION from Nyajingkag, i was with alot of young NUER in the same Platoon .I respect any Tribes in SouthSudan. But what is going on in our Country is different story. I think we need to show Nationalism and forget the Tribalism.

Bravo! SPLA you have done good job this is what Jalaba want. They really want to suffer from great losses so that they will recognize human right. Attacking Africans with heavy military hardware to infringe their right is useless. We are created in Sudan and our right will not be violated by people who come from nowhere. This great loss to big-headed Arabs might be the reason stupid Nafie Ali Nafie accepted the dialogue to solve the disarmament of SPLA.
