April 13, 2011 (ETHIOPIA) – During a visit from a Norwegian delegation to discuss regional issues with the Ethiopian government, the Ethiopian Foreign Minister accused Eritrea of interfering in South Sudanese affairs.

The delegation which visited Ethiopia between 12 and 13 April was headed by the Norwegian minister of defence, Grethe Faremo and met with the Ethiopian deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Hailemariam Dessalegn.

According to foreign affairs ministry spokesperson, Dina Mufti, they discussed bilateral agendas and the situations in Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Eritrea.

Hailemariam briefed the delegation on Ethiopia’s cooperation with South Sudan and the post-referendum situation. Hailemariam accused arch-foe, Eritrea of ‘‘interference in South Sudan’’

“Eritrea is manoeuvring and intervening in the affairs of South Sudan” he said.

He called up on the Norwegian government and the international community to press Eritrea to desist from intervening into the Sudanese affairs.

He further explained Ethiopia’s latest shift in policy towards the Eritrean government. The Ethiopian government has recently suggested it may be forced to take military action against Eritrea to stop what it describes as continuing “terrorist acts”.

Regarding Somalia, he said the Transitional Federal Government army and African Union Mission to Somalia peacekeeping forces have performed successful offensive attacks on the Islamist insurgency group, Al-Shabaab. Ethiopia has played significant role in resolving differences between Somaliland and Puntland, he said

The meeting discussed the situation in Libya where Hailemariam said the Ethiopian government supports the stance of the African Union and UN.

The visit of the Minister of Defense is the fifth high-level visit to Ethiopia from Norway in less than a year, following visits by Norway’s Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Environment and Development as well as State secretary for Foreign Affairs.

Grete Faremo is a veteran Norwegian politician in the Labour Party having served in three different governments as minister of International Development (1990-1992), minister of Justice (1992-1996), minister of oil and energy (1996) and has been minister of defense since 2009.

The crime minister of Ethiopia is trying all he can to tarnish the name and image of Eritrea in the international arena. I can see one fool has already brain washed and commented on this garbage article.

As far as we know, South Sudanese can speak for themselves and doesn’t need a mercenary puppet government to speak on their behalf. The last time we recall, this same regional spoiler acusses Eritrea of interfering in the affairs of Djibouti while the people and government of Djibouti says nothing. Let him do his home work than taking himself as a self proclaimed speaker of souverine states.

Any way what do you expect of a puppet, mercenary, criminal gang to act each time he meets his life line masters. What a sick and disturbed servitude mentally.

    Mind you:
The relation between the governments and people of South Sudan and Eritrea is based on the blood and limbs sacrificed during their times of needs. Eritreans paid a heavy price for helping South Sudanese during their time of needs and South Sudanese also do the same when Eritrea need them.

So what is this servant regime is trying to tell us? As I said earlier it is business as usual: To fleece Norwegians tax payers money by shading crocodile tears for the people of South Sudan.

BEWARE OF THIS STREET SMART LAD.

As to the policy crap on Eritrea, well there is one thing I remind this servant regime: JUST TRY IT OUT! WE GAVE YOU A HARD LESSON BEFORE AND WE HAVE NO PROBLEM TO REPEAT IT NOW AND THEN. JUST LET IT COME OUT FROM YOUR SIDE.

TPLF. We understand that your population is going to explode due to luck of family planning awareness BUT war with Eritrea can not be a substite to reduce the population. FUNGA!

      Richard,
You did not contrive a fitting name. Names like Ricardo, Jusseppe, Angelio would have served you properly as an Eritrean. Hope you understand what I mean: Eritrea being the former colony of Italy.
So what are you stammering here Mr. Ricardo? Are you saying that your Artera is more helpful to the South Sudan than is Ethiopia? Leave the judgment to our brothers in the South Sudan. Sparing the lethal President in your courtyard, from whence did you get the moral gut to speak ill of the brilliant Prime Minister of Ethiopia? Do not you know that your Issayas is chasing Eritreans out in droves causing them to perish in the desert and sea? You said Eritrea is closer to the SS. By what logic and how? since when? Were your crazy president not saying that "we support the territorial integrity of the Sudan" implying that he does not ’allow’ the South to go? Every South Sudanese knows this. So Mr Richrdo of Eritrea, the History books that the scholars of South Sudanse write tomorrow will tell it who is what for the great new nation of South Sudan. It is in your blood to speak (rhtoric) and it is in the blood of Ethiopians to act (deed). So one does not need to tarnish Artera, it is already well tarnished thanks to your crazy Isayas. Writers have already nick named your Artera as the "Shame of Africa"; the "Black hole of Africa" etc.
Finally as you rightly put it, lets leave it to the people of South Sudan to weigh who did stand by them in times of their struggle: Ethiopia or your Artera?

        Dear Henok,

First of all you need to widen your retarded imagination and ask for yourself if one has to be an Eritrean to speak the evil deeds of the Crime Minister of Ethiopia. That only shows how shallow you are.

Secondly, you need to read carefully what is written than what your shallow mindset wants to read. Like this garbage article which puts an attention title of "Eritrea Maneuvering in South Sudan" with out even dropping a line to the reader how and when (typical of Ethiopian "akaki zeraf"), here you also want to frat like a wild donkey:

As for your so called "intelligent leader", the street smart lad, well writers called him ... "an Enlightened Despot", "voodoo economist" ....

Let me bring this news for you to the fore: "Exodus Of Ethiopian Refugees to Yemen reaches 50,000 Yearly" (http://www.ethiopianreview.com/foru...) only to Yemen!

Do you know how many Ethiopian refuges present in Eritrea (http://www.madote.com/2011/02/more-...), and in different countries in Africa?

Did you have the exact figure for God sake?

An Ethiopian is the last creature on this planet to speak about moral, law, peace and prosperity.

You are good on Athletics, modern day mercenary, servitude and puppetry!

        HOW ABOUT THAT????
