December 29, 2010 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese government led by president Omer Hassan Al-Bashir is the “worst” in the country’s history, a leading figure at Egypt’s ruling National Democratic Party (NDP) said.

Mustafa El-Fiqy, who chairs the foreign relations committee at the Egyptian parliament, was quoted by the English Language Al-Ahram newspaper as saying that it was known to him many years ago that Khartoum was working towards letting the South go away even before the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) was signed between the North and South.

He made these remarks during the banquet of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs’ annual conference yesterday, Al-Ahram reported.

El-Fiqy said that he is “extremely sorry that matters have reached the point they have in Sudan, where the very term referendum only appeared during this regime, and its expected result is separation, which will be met with separation in other parts, from Darfur to the east to Kordofan".

“Egypt is the only country that will pay the price of what happens in Sudan from separation threats, the damage to it will be more so than to Northern Sudan," he added.

The former adviser to Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak said it is fortunate that Cairo’s relations with Southern Sudan “are not bad”.

“God inspired us wisdom and we did not take part in the [North’s] war against the South in spite of provocation by the North to us” El-Fiqy said.

The strong statements of the Egyptian official come at the heels of rare criticism made by the semi-official Al-Ahram newspaper last week to Bashir for policies which it said lead to the South wanting to break away from the rest of the country.

Egyptian officials in the past have shyly blamed Bashir’s NCP party for the likely split of Sudan. Last February, Egyptian president reportedly criticized Khartoum for lacking the will to preserve the unity.

This month a senior Libyan official shared same sentiments and said that the North failed to make the unity attractive to the South.

“Our brothers in Khartoum have a responsibility to bear, this responsibility is represented in actions such as Shari’a law, the civilization project of [Hassan] Al-Turabi, the fighting and the declaration of Jihad on the south” Abdel Rahman Shalgam, Libya’s permanent representative to the United Nations, said in an interview with the UAE-based Al-Bayan newspaper.

El-Fiqy warned of the potential threats to Egyptian national security caused by Sudan’s breakup saying that “Israel will have a presence on our southern border".

"Leaders from the North came to solve the situation with us in Egypt…..after this split we told them that we won’t reconcile with you when you’ve brought Israel to our southern border."

"The previous head of Israeli military intelligence admitted that Israel supervised the training of the Southern military," El-Fiqi said, adding that Israel has "units" there.

He further pointed out that South Sudan leader Salva Kiir announced that he will open an Israeli embassy in the new state.

However, Kiir denied the reports on the embassy in an interview with the London-based Al-Sharq Al-Awsat.

The referendum on independence for south Sudan was promised in the 2005 peace accord that ended a civil war between the mainly Muslim north and the south, where most follow traditional beliefs and Christianity.

A successful referendum could bring a conclusion to one of Africa’s most bitter conflicts, which has rumbled on since around the time of Sudan’s independence in the 1950s.

A leaked U.S. embassy cable released by Wikileaks showed an Egyptian request to Washington to help postpone the referendum by four to six years.

Egypt stressed to the U.S. that the creation of "a non-viable state" could threaten Egypt’s access to the Nile a time when several countries are negotiating how to share the river’s water. Several Nile basin countries have collaborated seeking a change to the colonial era treaty which guarantees that Egypt receives most of the Nile water.

Egypt and Sudan are refusing to sign up to a new agreement.

Whether Bashir regime is the worst in history is something we share little view given that they recognize South self-determination.
They may be the worst regime according to muslims views but we southerners consider them as heroes for bringing about the peace in the south which will soon result into a new nation.

Time has gone when the Islamic world should have play vital role in the blame game.

It’s true that a friend indeed is a friend in need. Egypt has been a friend to Sudan’s ruling National congress party of Beshir. She is blaming Beshir but she was the one who misled Sudan to be ruled badly as such.

There is no more time to make things come back to expectations of Arab leagues. Southern Sudan has already separated itself to be an independent state. What you can do is to make good relation with Southern Sudan by removing Islamic Shari’a laws in Sudan at large.

        Ahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa.............

Egyptian officials are a bunch of lunatics when it comes to sincere politics!

Do you judge Bashir’s regime and call it "worst" based on his acceptance of the right to self-determination for the people of South Sudan, ya Egyptians? You are funny people!!!

Yes, Bashir accepted self-determination for the first time in Sudan’s history since 1992 before the CPA was since more than ten years later.

We thank his regime for this if that is the main thing you dislike him for.

You supported him killing the people of the South, Darfur, East, Blue Nile and Nuba Mountains, but you hate him for accepting self-determination for the South.

        You are wrong!!!

    Dear Egyptians
Do not flame fire between South and North Sudan pushing blaming Al Bashir as you saying that is leadership is worst in history of Sudan.
I want to ask you. when the war start in 1983 Al Bashir is a president of Sudan at that time? and why the things were not good untill people of Sudan go for the war? so please you are worng for blaming Omer Hassan El Bashir instead of your first advice to your brothers Muslim in North Sudan for how to rule Sudan that is where mistaken come from.
But do not worry we Southerners people we are loving people we do not stop your water please the water will be continue going to you don’t abolish our right that what I tell you

Egyptian Diplomats should know that Al Bashir had done the best he could to the Arabs in Sudan than what the referendum brings to South Sudan. Al Bashir had made good use of the Southern oil for the benefit of Arabs in Sudan. Al Bashir had given Southern Sudan right to go without bringing disaster to Arab development in Khartoum. Why blame Al Bashir. If Al Bashir had not signed peace accord, and South Sudan plus all marginalized people of Sudan continue to fight Arabs, do you think Arabs would have still been existing now in Sudan? I don’t think so. If Khartoum is captured by force by Southerners and Darfuris, Arabs would have been all refugees in Egypt. I believe Bashir had done the best he could at this time to safe Arabs in Sudan otherwise there would be no Arabs in that part of Africa.
Why concern much about Isreal in South Sudan when Egypt had relations with Isreal. It is Egypt neighbor and Egypt is not fighting Isreal. Isreal is in Uganda, why not concern about Isreal’s presence in Uganda. Arabs hypocracy of using Isreal name to deceive their largely emotional and irrational population should end in the issue of South Sudan. We are gone, decide something else to use to fool your irrational people. No South Sudan and Isreal issue again.

    Crying? Hahahah!
Look at these quotes in the following sentences:

El-Fiqy said that he is “extremely sorry that matters have reached the point they have in Sudan, where the very term referendum only appeared during this regime, and its expected result is separation, which will be met with separation in other parts, from Darfur to the east to Kordofan".

“Egypt is the only country that will pay the price of what happens in Sudan from separation threats, the damage to it will be more so than to Northern Sudan"

The former adviser to Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak said it is fortunate that Cairo’s relations with Southern Sudan “are not bad”.

“God inspired us wisdom and we did not take part in the [North’s] war against the South in spite of provocation by the North to us”

“Our brothers in Khartoum have a responsibility to bear, this responsibility is represented in actions such as Shari’a law, the civilization project of [Hassan] Al-Turabi, the fighting and the declaration of Jihad on the south” (Libyan point of view).

“Israel will have a presence on our southern border".

Dear Egyptians and Libyans, don`t cry! Be quiet! We told your cousins before that we need Sharia to be removed from our constitution but your cousins were so retarded that they could not understand our language. Hence, you would have advised your cousins before things should run out of hand, but now it is too late! Just enjoy yourselves in your countries. We will be friends though I know you are our frenemies!
    Good luck

The Egyptian " our brothers" seems that they want the Israili to be present only in Cairo, while they are occuping Hlayeb!

They just want the Sudan as a pipe to conuct the water for them!

They want us to fight with our brothers in the south forever " seems we have so many brothers" so that they get the water and the billions of the American aid!"

Even if Shria law is removed , the south will seperate, let us be clear about that. When the war started in 83 there was no Basheer or Sharia.Sharia law is not applied and will not be applied on non-muslim even in the north even after secession.Sharia law stipulates that it should not be applied on non muslims and should be applied only on muslims!

Nivasha was the best thing to happen in the history of Sudan. Southerners were given the right to rule themselves 100% alone without any intereference from the central government and to have 30% of the central government jobs.No northerner has the right to contest for even a clerk job in the south, while a southerner can contest for the Presidency in the North. On top of that southerners has the right to secede , if they want.I donnot think more can be given and we have the right , both in the South and North, to live in peace!

Ironically, Egypt was helping the SPLA and was supplying them with arms!Their aim was to weaken Sudan , an aim which is shared by many other international and other African neighbours!

Well, we have being fighting for very long and obviously this will not continue forever! We are happy with whatever the south chooses, though I prefer one country, I wish them from the top of my heart a peacful and prosporous country.

We want peace for all, if peace prevails , we will prevail.

        Mohammed Ali,

Many northerners hardly recognize the reality as you do. I think you need to play more role in Mosques in Khartoum to teach our brothers in the north to live in reality other than in delusion as some clerics including Hassan Abdalla Turabi and Sadiq Al Mahdi are known to mislead masses from the north who follow them without using their intellect.

Muslims and Arabs in Sudan hardly recognize rights for others to exist and persue happiness. Kindly tell them being emotional, irrational, and deceptive will not longer work but to live in reality and being objective will be the way forward for them even after South secession.
Dr. John Garang had shown everybody in Sudan theirs rights and all people who are marginalized in the north will still fight for their rights after secession of South Sudan and therefore, Arabs have to recognize that and begin new relations with people in Darfur, Nuba, Blue Nile, and Eastern Sudan before Khartoum becomes a new Mogadishu in Africa.

Did you ever live in Khartoum or in North Sudan. The vast majority will sahre my views towards the south. You should ask yourself why southerners are still living in the north if they were humilated and abused as some people claim, although most of them are living in very bad conditions, even though some left to the south many had come back.

I will quote one southern lady shown on ALgazera tv during a pro-unity demonstration (( Janantona " you are driving us crazy" Arabs ...Arabs...Arabs...where are these Arabs)) and I will repeat with her Arabs..Arabs ..nobody is bother with whether we are Arabs or not.

As in Darfur there are many so called Arab tribes than the so called African tribes , the Arab tribes are less privelged than the Arab tribes they are basically nomades with much less education, the non- Arab tribes who live mainly in urban centres where there are schools, universities, hospitals and all the other government institutions. All of them, sometimes fight with each other over resources ,regardless of their ethenicity (though all of them are ethenically Africans) it is on the basis of tribe and competition over resourses and it has nothing to do with ethenicity! Only after Nivasha it was politicized!

All of us should be rational or you are telling me that southerners are the angels and northerners are the villians!

        Mohammed Ali,
You seem to be a good black Arab, but hold on a minute! It appears that you are motivated by something here. You have realized that secession is an inevitable event, no matter what!

Mr. Ali, Sharia was declared in September 1983 if you appeared to be so oblivious to it. You could be right that our final decision to lead a second civil war with you in Sudan was predetermined before so-called "1983 September Laws" which recognized Sharia as the only religion and the basis of governance for all Sudanese regardless of our differences in values, cultures, beliefs, or customs. However, the passage of these evil laws precipitated our move against your Sharia Legislation!

I`m glad all of you in the North Sudan have completely resigned to the "realities" of separation. But please, don`t disturb us in our borders. It will be a disaster!

In terms of Israelis, we will welcome them in Southern Sudan if it best serves our interest. Some Arab countries have relations with Israel though Sudan doesn`t. If some Arab countries have relations with them, why not Southern Sudan?

The best thing your Islamic government should do is to allow a peaceful conduct of our referendum, stop the war in Darfur, demarcate our borders, conduct popular consulations for Nuba Mountains and Southern Blue Nile people, and build a good relations with the Southern Sudan; otherwise, things will be ugly over the next few years.

Mr. Ali, answer these questions for us the Southern Sudanese at large:
        1) Does Abyei belong to Arabs (Misseria) or Dinka Ngok?
        2) Who should vote in the Abyei referendum?
        3) Do Nubians (Southern Kordofan) and Maban (Malik Agar`s groups) of Southern Blue Nile belong to Southern Sudan or Northern sudan?
        4) Should they join North or South Sudan?

        Please, honest answers! No pretensions!
        Good luck

FIRST I hope, you have read my previous Australian who pretends defend you , in a typical white man hypocritical way of divide to rule

          Mr.Austrelian,

Brainwashed...me! Look at yourself, you are in Australia, do you know whose country is this.Does it belong to the white christians. It is only recently in the 21st century the white man and the church appologized to the owners of the land, when it is too late and they were already robbed of their land, history , culture , civilization and even life.

You are really pathetic!Go and read about the history of Australia , when Britain dump it’s children, without their parents, in thousands to increase the number of the white man population and confiscate the land of Original Australians!

Go and see the film The Rabbit Proof Fence , it is a true story and the three ladies were alive until recently. It is about three ladies of an original Australian mother and a white "illigitmate" father. They were snatched from their home and mother , because they had a noble christian white man blood which was supposed not mix with the "dirty" black man blood and this was by LAW!!!! They were forced to stay in the church and were given christian names. But they escaped from their "jail" in the chruch. Here are the links ,you can watch it online or you can order it from Amazon.com.
Watch it and see how inhuman was the white-man church to the original Australians. After that come and talk about brain washing.

          http://www.tv-links.eu/movies/Rabbi...

          http://www.tv-links.eu/linkview2.ht...

By the way Christianity is not an African religion nor an European religion, it is a middle eastern religion .The original bible was in a sister language to the Arabic language, and Jesus (Peace be upon Him) would never have a picture with European features of white skin, blue eyes and blond hair , he would have black eyes , black hair and a brown skin , what is called middle easter features!

Young man , go and do some readings and come back to talk about Islam and Christianity!

Go and read about African history , Who enslaved Africans for centuries is it the Arab muslims or the White European Cristians, who build Apartheid regimes in South Africa and Rhodesia (Zimbabwi) and elswhere in Africa , is it the Arab muslims or The Christian white-man.

          Maguangdit,

First of all let me remind you that when the British imposed their rule in the South ,there was no presence of a northern state or kingdom in the south. Northerners or Arabs or Muslim were not there as a state and certaily not as an Army. They were individuals , normal human beings interacting with other humans in a human way.No Army or any sort of Authority. There was no way or place of imposing anything upon you from us.The British want to stop this and the told you that we are devils and that you could be enslaved!.
Let me qoute you from a book by Mr. Richard Cockett , the African Editor of the Economist in his book about Sudan, on page 38 , he says ( The British only pentrated into sudd in a systemic way after 1904 and it took them about another thirty years to conquer the whole south. However, the colonialist not only found huge differences between the Eqatorial region and the northern desert, they also consciouly sharpened those differences for their own purposes.Their main concern was to shape the south as a sort of religion an cultural bulwark agains the spread of Islam , in order to protect the colonizedChristian terotories to the south( Ugaanda, Kenya today)Thus, for instance, the British encouraged the Christian missionaries to convert the indigenous animist.Education in the north was geared to employment, this was not the case in the south where it was geared to the spread of christianity and the prevention of the southward spread of I slam.

From the end of the First World War, the British therefore initiated a comperhensive, if largely surreptious, policy of creating a southernSudan seperate from the north.English rather than Arabic was made the official language of instructioin in schools.Theuse of Arabic anywhere was actively discouragedand Arab clothing was banned......in the 1920’s most of the Arab merchants, the gallaba, who traded in the main towns of the south such as Juba and Rumbek , were repatriated to the north. The closed District Order of 1922 declared the whole of the south to be off-limits to the northerners unless they had the express permission of the governer. This , together with the expulsion of the gallaba Arabs, effectively severed the south from the commercial and economic life of the rest of Sudan-or anywhere else....

The British were intent anyway on strnagling any chance of development in the south.Arguing against people being given more money for their meager crops of cotton at auction, the British governer of upper nile province wrote with cold blooded clarity in 1928: "To provide means for the present generation to acquire sufficient wealth to enable them to obtain the various luxuries of civilization brings and make it possible for such comparative wealth to be easily gained would , in my opinion, be a mistake." Britain’s general lack of enthusiasm for the south was reflected in their choice of administrators to run the place. As distinct from the Oxbridge ( graduates from oxford and Cambridge) district commissioners swannining around the north, the british who ran the mosquito-infested south were mostly non-pensionable military officers, drisively known as the "bog barons".The nickname say it all about the British disdain for the south in contrst to what they regarded as the sophisticated and romanic Muslim culture of the north!)) this the end of the qoutation!

Just to remind you again , there was no northern , Arab , gallaba or whatever you call us "state" in the south before the British , to impose anything upon you!The British were afraid from the normal interaction in a way of human to human!

Even the british , today cannot defend their policy, you are coming tiday and defend their Racist and inhumane policy! Was the aparthied system in South Africa imposed by the Christian white man , the right way to convience them into Christianity? or was the aparthied system in Rhodesia(Zimbabwi) the best way to ( taught them and convinced them to accept Christianity through their own free wil)or is it now the right thing when black people of Zimbabwi decided to reedem their land stolen by the white man, to get a collective punishment from Christian Europe in the name of Human Rights and Democracy ..and bla..bla...

Southerners living in the north ,came on their own free will and they will not go back to the south. The reason is very simple, they have a better life here! 60,0000 are at the high schools and universities! Will they find that in the pardise of the SPLA , where looting the money of the poor southerners is the norm! They find security , safty and dignity much more than in the SPLA south!

Nobody has the right to condomn me in Islam whether be it is an Imam or clerc. In Islam the Imam is an ordinary man like me and he has no moral or religous authority on individuals, you are responsible directly to God.Imam can be any person and he is not a "holy" person , he is just a human being who can sin like anyother human!

I am not that naieve to belive in propoganda, aginst Islam!

You better check your statistics about Africa!According to southern muslim they constituees 25% of the south, and it is amazing that you repeat the wester propoganda when they say ,"the south which is largly anmist and christian" why not muslim and animist? or Abeyei as the oil rich region! While according to Deng Alor it is producing only 3000 bbd and it is diminishing! This the policy of "divide and rule" whish was used effectively by colonaisers, Arabs mixed with Africans since Ibrahim and Hajar and there is no Sudanese who can say I am pure Arab, we are mainly African some of us mixed with Arabs to a variable degree.

I have no problem with your seperate state at all,.I f this brings peace then why should we wait untill the referendum! We wish you all the best and have the best place in the world and we will be happy for you and happy with what we have, whatever is small or big!

If you are trying to insult me by your story of the toilet ,as I said there is no shame to have any job and your money decently.A job is not an insult!I did clean my toilet alone when I was student in Europe , when I was undergraduate and postgraduate and when I was working there! Now I pay for it , but I do respect those who does this job for me .The only difference between me and them is that I have more money, and by no means they are less humans than me!

If you want me to clean your toilet you have to have to things:

First , you make sure that you have a toilet!

Second , you should able to afford my salary!

          Mr.Australian,

So you are a white Australian! Then let me talk properly to you!

Why should you have anything against a useless and futile appology coming after centuries and everything which belongs to the owner of the land has gone forever? Is it going to give the aborgini back their land , culture ,civilization, language or you are telling me they don’t they are too inferior to have their own civilization.

No I am not going to tell you that slavery didn’t exist in Sudan. It did exist in North Sudan and it is still untill now existing in the SOUTH!

But who told you that we are white enslaving black Sudanese?Who told you that we are Arabs? We are mixture of Arabs and Africans and Arabs had mixed with Africans throughout history and all-over Africa , untill the white man came with his supremacy, racism, apartheid and christianity with church’s for the white-man and anothor for the inferior black man!Did you"white christians" allowed your noble christian blood to mix with the infreior "dirty" blood!whether in Africa or Australia?Did you see the Rabbit fence, and how cruel you christians pursiut the young girls and chased them after they scaped from their jail in the church which was supposed to be a house of god!Oh , I have forgotten , you have already generously appologized!

Oh yee you have a tradition ( We Christians have a tradtion of acknowledging our sins and trying to make up for them.) Oh yee , the Red indians are going to get their land , culture, language and they are not going to be pictured as primitive and savage creatures ,also this going to happen with the aborgini after your genorous appology, the one and a half Iraqi aregoing to come to life again after you discovered that Toni Blair and Bush were delibrately lying about WMD , to justify invading Iraq and bombing it the stone age..we should start celebrating from now!!

((The British, by the way, could have just killed all the Sudanese who fought for independence. But they didn’t.)) How generous they were!!! and how arrogant you are!!! They could have just kiled us...Pathetic really pathetic. Who asked them to come in the first place, and why did they come?!They did kill savagely , Lord Kitchener after the end of the battle was shooting the wounded soldiers on the head with his own pistol, just like you do for animals, how merciful you Christians!!

Australia is not the aborginis country , it is the white man country , who owns every thing , the political power , the money, the culture and almost everthing.Where are these aborginies? are they still there? Do you see them? you made them extinct!

We are not foreginers to our land and we will be fine if you just leave us alone.Come to Khartoum and you will see that the church is standing side-by-side with the mosque. There are more than 2.5 millions living in every single town and city of the north in peace and harmony and they will not leave to the south even if the south seceded.
By the way who told you that there no muslims in the south? There may be more than christians.

1- My answer is, would you accept it if I say it belongs to Dinka? of course no, you wouldn’t.The Hague rules that Dinka and "other tribes" has the right to vote, other tribes could include the Messeria . Having said that , I agree that a mutual and amicable solution is still possible.War is not a solution, some of Gration and Mbeiki proposals could be acceptable. See my posting.

          2- same as above.

3-Maban and all the funj tribes belong to the North and they were the basis of the recent Sudan.Sennar Sultanata was the Islamic successor of soba christian Nubian state. They were not Arabs, but they were muslims. They are against secession ; Agaar clearly stated that he is against secession! The Nubians are the basis of Sudan , most of north and central Sudan are ethenically Nubians..Korti , Shendi,Merowi ,Tangasi, Alti,Kosti , Tandalti, Tutti,Burri,Kadogli, Talodi, Kalogi,Wawisi...etc see the rhythm which ends with ee" i" all are Nubian names for different towns and city from north and central Sudan!More-over they are against secession. Thaba Butrus is campaigining for unity!

To be fair you should ask your government to stop supporting Darfuri rebels.Saying that Menni Arkawi is as the right of all Sudanese to be anywhere in Sudan as the South is still part of Sudan sounds very hypocritical. He is fighting the central government and you know it , the Americans had warned you, in his recent visit the minister of foregin affairs of Austeria had warned you.Refusing to demarcate the borders is dangerous and is a potential recipe for war.Calling for soft borders as Machar is calling is very good, but this should happen after demarcation.

The ill-wishes from many southerners is also not helping and is not good even for you, hatred wiil never ever succede. We never wish you bad, the war was between the army and the rebells , millions were taking refuge in the north and were never affected by the war.Today there are 60,000 students in different high schools and universities, much more than those in the South, nobody is bothering them! This will continue even after secession.

              Murr,

Nubia is our land and we have the oldest civilization on Earth. We still speak our Nubian language.Arabs originated from us when Ibraham married Hajir, we mixed with them before Islam. This happened much more in east Africa , particulary in Ethiopia and Erteria who are clasified genetically and lingustically as Afro-Asiatic.Arabs had never been strangers to Africa ,centuries before Islam and before they have a dominant unified state. It is only when the white man came to enslave all of Africa and stop the spread of Islam , they started to play their game of "divide and rule"

Arab or Nubians did not invade the South and the South was not part of neither The Funj Kingdom, Musabat (Kordofan) or Darfur Kingdom .The three Islamic states established by African Muslims in the present Northern Sudan. The south was annexed to us by the British, just few years before independence, after closing it for decades to stop the normal human to human interaction.

Allow to me to refer you to a book published on 2010; Sudan:Darfur and the failure of an African state, ISBN 798-0-300-16273-8 , BY RICHARD COCKETT, theAfrican editor of the Economist:

(( ( The British only pentrated into sudd in a systemic way after 1904 and it took them about another thirty years to conquer the whole south. However, the colonialist not only found huge differences between the Eqatorial region and the northern desert, they also consciouly sharpened those differences for their own purposes.Their main concern was to shape the south as a sort of religion an cultural bulwark agains the spread of Islam , in order to protect the colonized Christian terotories to the south( Ugaanda, Kenya today) Thus, for instance, the British encouraged the Christian missionaries to convert the indigenous animist.Education in the north was geared to employment, this was not the case in the south where it was geared to the spread of christianity and the prevention of the southward spread of I slam.

From the end of the First World War, the British therefore initiated a comperhensive, if largely surreptious, policy of creating a southern Sudan seperate from the north.English rather than Arabic was made the official language of instructioin in schools. The use of Arabic anywhere was actively discouragedand Arab clothing was banned......in the 1920’s most of the Arab merchants, the gallaba, who traded in the main towns of the south such as Juba and Rumbek , were repatriated to the north. The closed District Order of 1922 declared the whole of the south to be off-limits to the northerners unless they had the express permission of the governer. This , together with the expulsion of the gallaba Arabs, effectively severed the south from the commercial and economic life of the rest of Sudan-or anywhere else....

The British were intent anyway on strnagling any chance of development in the south. Arguing against people being given more money for their meager crops of cotton at auction, the British governer of upper nile province wrote with cold blooded clarity in 1928: "To provide means for the present generation to acquire sufficient wealth to enable them to obtain the various luxuries of civilization brings and make it possible for such comparative wealth to be easily gained would , in my opinion, be a mistake." Britain’s general lack of enthusiasm for the south was reflected in their choice of administrators to run the place.

We did not draw the borders , in my opinion , it is wrong to defend these borders; not because that I want seperation, but because it will bring peace. After Nivasha , which gives southerners the right to rule themselves 100% alone with no right for any northerner , Arab to take a clerk job in the south and to have 30% of the central govenment jobs and a Southerner can contest for the presidency ,while no northener can ever contest for any job in the south, after all this if southerners opt to secede, then let it be and let us live in peace as good neighbours.

This not one in a million view ,this is the view of 99.99% of northeners.

What appolgy you are talking about , after the Aborgini had lost everything, they have been completely robbed from their "whole country" then they were given ’a lip servise’ after 200 years! and still refusing to compensate them Is Australia a whit man or a black man country, the Aborgini are now almost extinict as the result of deliberate ratial policy. The white man heart did not change yet and you will see on this web site a bigot white man supremacist defending their horrible and inhuman crime of snatching babies from the breast of their mothers , by saying that it was the mistake of the Aborgini for giving their daughters to the "holly" white man in exchange for alchol. He stopped short of saying the inferior Aborginis were forcing the "sacred" penis of the "holly" white man into the "dirty" vagina of their daughters! This was done with the full support and supervision of the CHURCH.If you are telling me this the difference between them and us, I agree, there is a huge difference , all of us Northerners are half-cast and we are very much prou of our black coulour!!!

Please refrain from profani , it serve no purpose, you seem to be an intelligent and educated man!

Sharia law always applies to non-Muslims as well as Muslims. For example, Islam does not allow a Muslim girl to marry a non-Muslim man. But it is much more insidious than that.
Non-Muslims are held to be dhimmis, second-class citizens, who must accept their inferior status with humility. They have to pay a special tax, they have few legal rights compared to Muslims, they are not allowed to proselytise their religion, and so on. Under sharia law, if a Muslim kills a non-Muslim he is not punished. Non-Muslims must not criticize Islam in any way, just as Muslims also must not.
Either you don’t know this or you are pretending not to know.

            Australian,

LET ME TELL I AM BLACK AND I AM MUCH MORE INTELLIGENT THAN AND MUCH MORE EDUCATED THAN YOU AND I KNOW MUCH MORE ABOUT CHRISTIANITY , SAVE FOR ISLAM.YOU HAVE THE ILLUSION OF BEING WHITE ,THINKING THAT YOU ARE BETTER THAN US , THIS IS AN INHERIRED TRAIT, YOU ARE NOT.EVEN BIGS ARE WHITE NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS.

Here I will reveal your true skin and your true love for the Black people , you have been much more than the white man in South Africa, you made a whole black-race almost extinct , with the support of the white-man church!

((Oh, of course YOU would not listen, it was not a fiction film and two of the three ladies were alife when the film was pictured. The law which prohibited the mixture of the ultra pure white man blood with the "dirty" "inferior" black man was not a fiction film. IT eas not the only film and there were many books and stories about how you have horribly treated the Aborgini. It was worst than South Africa South was lucky to have neighbours to support them , but the poor aborgini were alone untill they are almost extinct by you dirty racial polcy. This law did not exist in Australia only but it did exist in other parts of Africa like South Africa and Rhodesia (Zimbabwi).

Hatred is what you are trying to dissiminate here..by telling people "you will still black", well we are also black and you are the "superior saver" THE WHITE MAN.

By telling us "the British could have kill us instead of giving you independence", you mean to show us love!

I know much more about the history of Australia than you and certainly knowI much more about Christianity than you , but you defintly know nothing about Islam; or you were not expecting a blck man to be more educated than you!

I even know about the ’Lost generations" or the "stolen children" when the Aborgini children were snatched from their mothers and famillies by fedral and state government agencies and church missions and that was done by "law’ the white man law, from 1869 untill 1969 , though it existed "unlawfully" untill the 70th .That law was called the Aborgini Protection Act a typical hypocritical name. The Bringing them Home Report says:

((Nationally we can conclude with confidence that between one in three and one in ten Indigenous children were forcibly removed from their families and communities in the period from approximately 1910 until 1970. In certain regions and in certain periods the figure was undoubtedly much greater than one in ten. In that time not one family has escaped the effects of forcible removal (confirmed by representatives of the Queensland and WA Governments in evidence to the Inquiry). Most families have been affected, in one or more generations, by the forcible removal of one or more children.))This was done because they were half-cast and have mixed blood in their body! This was done with the full support of the Christian Church!!Well , we northen Sudanese are all half-cast a product of two HUMAN ETHINICITY, product of normal human interaction, and we are very very very much ultra-proud of our MAGNIFICANT BLACK COLOUR.

(( The evidence indicated that in a large number of cases children were brutally and forcibly removed from their parent or parents, possibly even from the hospital shortly after their birth ))"The Bringing Them Home Report."

(( In Western Australia, the Aborigines Act 1905 removed the legal guardianship of Aboriginal parents and made their children all legal wards of the state, so no parental permission was required))

((I was at the post office with my Mum and Auntie [and cousin]. They put us in the police ute and said they were taking us to Broome. They put the mums in there as well. But when we’d gone [about ten miles (16 km)] they stopped, and threw the mothers out of the car. We jumped on our mothers’ backs, crying, trying not to be left behind. But the policemen pulled us off and threw us back in the car. They pushed the mothers away and drove off, while our mothers were chasing the car, running and crying after us. We were screaming in the back of that car. When we got to Broome they put me and my cousin in the Broome lock-up. We were only ten years old. We were in the lock-up for two days waiting for the boat to Perth.))This you Christians not the Arab Muslims!!

How dare you talk about Islam and Humanity , all this was done with full support and collaboration of the church and under it is supervision!God has created us BLACK and we love it!

Arabs didn’t do so, certainly Islam will never support such evil and horrible inhuman crime.I must say Jesus (peace be upon Him) will not support such a horrendous crime, and god will never ever forgive such crimes!!

This brings me to the big question , what interst you have in the South? Donnot tell me for the sake of humanity and Christianity! Who can believe you? Do you want to come to the south and establish The Southerner Protection Act and then start your looting of the wealth of the people! If you think southerners are that stupid , you are wrong!!

Or you are telling me this also a fiction film, or something in the past or we have appologized!!!

I donnot hate , but I will be inhuman if I donnot hate such a thing!!How could the church , the house of God accept to recieve children who were stolen from their families..not one ,two..ten.. thirty..but thousands! Why for a clour which was given to them by God!!

Of course I will listen , tell me what you can say...this was fiction ..certainly it looks like fiction to me , did these people have brains to do that, were they human beings at all.Donnot tell me this was in the past, this was happening untill the 70th.Oh my God.. Oh ya- allah ..Oh Jesus..Ihave nothing to say more! Have you ?!!!

Shame on you how dare you talk about BLACK people Islam or Christianity.

Are you planing to do minining in the South and than start your habit of looting black people , you can’t.

You said you are not pretending... who told you you are ... you said it all alone...YOU ARE PRETENDING. This inherited and you will never change, I know your type very well.If you think you can decieve southerners , you can’t, they are much more intelligent than you albiet your white skin.Riek Machar , Luka Biong, Mashar , Lam Akol , his brother to name a few,all hold PhD degree and are highly educated and much more intelligent than you!

              M Ali: You are hysterical.
But for the record, for others reading this, when I said Manguangdit "was still black" I meant in terms of Islam, which is an Arab-supremacist religion, not in relation to myself in any insulting way. If you, Mohammed Ali, thought I was insulting him, maybe you should calm down and get back to work on your third PhD or whatever it is you do in the daytime.
Also for others reading this, yes, it is a tragedy what happened to the aborigines. One terrible thing was that the aboriginal men gave their daughters to white men for sex in exchange for alcohol. When babies were born from this kind of union, the full-blooded aborigines usually rejected them. I have a book about case-by-case scenarios of part-aborigines being taken from their mothers, and let me say, aboriginal women have always been treated roughly by their men. The "Bringing Them Home" report is much discredited, by the way. But here is not the place to discuss this; this is about Sudan.
I absolutely reject the insults insinuating that I have evil intentions regarding south Sudan. This Mohammed Ali is a very suspicious person with very extreme views, and makes all kinds of outrageous assumptions. Again, just for the record, I am not in favour of south Sudan separating but would prefer to see a democratic and secular government for all Sudan, with strong regional governments dealing with local matters. And religion firmly under control, especially jihad-crazy Islam which blights the lives of millions all around the world and has done so since its inception. If Mohammed Ali wants peace, that is all very nice, but he needs to control all the others who DON’T want peace. So he should get outside and transform Islam before lecturing us about "peace".

(It is never a good idea to boast about one’s intelligence, Mr Ali; it makes a person sound rather ridiculous. And the tu quoque argument likewise.)

The true story is forced sex , rape, and you don’t want to admit it , because the white man can not do such a sin with an inferior black lady!

The come back home report is much respected and it was not discredited by any decent human being.Upon it the government was forced to appologize and people like you and Jim Howard , donnot accepot the appology.

(( In its 12th report to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination the Australian Government denied that this was a breach of the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

Robert Manne argues that the expressed views of government bureaucrats, such as A.O. Neville, to merge the Aboriginal race into the white population by means of "breeding out the colour", and therefore eventually resulting in the former being "forgotten", bore strong similarities to the views of the Nazis in 1930s Nazi Germany. Manne points out that, though the term ’genocide’ had not yet entered the English language, the policies of Neville and others were termed by some contemporaries as the ’die out’ or ’breed out’ policy, giving an indication of their proposed intent.))

Of course what the white men did was wrong. It was despicable. It is always despicable when men rape women, especially young girls (except the Prophet Mohammed, of course; naturally Aisha adored being raped by the Prophet!) And of course the church did not condone such things (unlike another religion does...a religion which says men can kill men and rape their wives, all a part of jolly jihad...)

270 million? See the website "The Religion of Peace".
60 million non-Muslims were killed in India alone.

                Sharia law and non-Muslims:
A woman in Pakistan is about to be killed under the blasphemy laws because in an argument with Muslims she said she didn’t believe Mohammed was true prophet: this is sharia law for non-Muslims.
In the UK, many schools only serve halal meat, despite parents’ objections. Sharia law for non-Muslims.
In Islam, non-Muslim men cannot marry Muslim girls, and there are many cases recorded of girls being killed by their families because of their relationships with non-Muslim men. Sharia law applies to the men they wanted to marry, as well as the girls.
Sharia law means a Muslim committing a crime against a non-Muslim does not receive commensurate punishment: therefore, sharia affects non-Muslims as they do not have security.
In Pakistan recently, some Muslims accused a Christian of blasphemy in order to seize his property when he was in jail.
The OIC is trying to force a global ban against criticism of Islam because they believe sharia law should be applied to everyone in the world. Everyone.
Sharia law had a big, big effect on non-Muslims in your history. The establishment of Islam in Nubia had a lot to do with sharia laws which favoured the Muslims and encouraged conversion.
                As for the south:
Muslims are allowed to enslave non-Muslims but not Muslims. This is sharia law.
You said the northern people did not start the war. In Islamic terms (sharia) you are correct, because non-Muslims are not permitted to fight back against oppression, and the southern people fought back, thus "starting" the war.
Sharia law deems the southern people to be kuffar or worse, mushrikun who are not entitled to protection at all.
You don’t have to apolgise to them, do you? No, because they "started" the war by disobeying Allah’s laws.

I am glad you are curious about why I am interested in Sudanese politics. But why are you curious, really? Don’t you already know I just want to "divide and rule"? I want to sit on my throne in Sudan, surrounded by black servants, isn’t that right? And take everything - the oil, the water, the minerals, the lot. Just you wait, you will be divided and ruled like never before!

What I said is on record and true, not of course for everyone but true of some. The worst thing is that abuse of girls is still very widespread in aboriginal communities.
My comment was more to criticise men than aborigines. Men all over the world and all through history have sold their daughters, swapped them for cows, money or even a bottle of beer. It is a fact of life and history. Calling it "marriage" doesn’t make it any better than it is.

Welcome to Australia, by the way. I hope you are happy here. I hope you don’t say I have no right to welcome you because it is not my country, because it IS my country and now yours too, and I don’t think any immigrants ever ask the permission of aborigines before they come here. We all need to get along, to understand the past but not get stuck in it with bitterness. As I said to M Ali, I was born just a short time ago and I have done nothing bad to aborigines but always treated them with respect. Aboriginal society has gone downhill since white Australians started treating them like "pets" who need a peculiar mixture of their culture and ours which is not a healthy mixture.
That’s enough. I need to get on with doing something worthwhile in life...

I think Mustafa El- Figy is right to say that the current regime in Khartoum is the "worst" becasuse we had successive governments in the Sudan from 1956 up to the time Bashir came to power. These governments can be classified as "bad" and "very bad" and the "worst" which is the current one. In enssence Mustafa El- Figy was trying to say that there had not been a single government in the Sudan that was good to Southerners since independence. This can also implies that this was the same situation during the colonial era ( British regime, the condominium,Anglo- Egyptian Sudan and the Mahadist) in which Mustafa’s governement was part of the "bad" or "very bad". Southern Sudanese and the marginalized people of the Sudan had suffered one way or the other in the hands of these regimes and, indeed, this made "separation attractive" in the eyes of Southern Sudanese.

As a matter of fact, the Khartoum regime can be viewed not the "worst" regime as such in the Sudan but the "best" regime though it had caused so many terrible suffering in the Sudan, particularly Southern Sudan and the marginalized regions, because it brought about the "seperation" of the Southern Sudan, recognition of the rights of the marginalized region world wide, the exposure of the evils of Turabi’s NIF and many more good thinking to those who were sleeping from the yoke of colonialism and neo-colonialism. After the independent of South Sudan, Southerners should rate El Bashir and his NCP government as the "Best government" Southerners have ever gotten in the Sudan.

You are right Joseph Mr Mustafa El Figy is completely on the right point. The regime of Bashir and his NCP party will not sit on the same palace with Southern Sudanese the separation of the South is already celebrated and nothings can interfer with Southern Sudanese vision.

It is a worst in Sudan’s history to led the Sudan split into two. That remarks is true. It is the remarks brothers (Akuana) could blame their brothers. When did Egypt became wise enough to blame Bashir? An African, a truely African can not kill, exploit, beat, loot their brothers and still called them brothers or "Akuana" and if one does it he can not call him a bother any more. It will be an enemy with an enemy.

These Arabs had been ruling Sudan since from 1956- 2010. A period of half of century. Egypt was there and the South Sudanese did not keep quite. The Southerners oppose the injustice, inequality, imposition of Shari’a law, the civilization project of [Hassan] Al-Turabi, the fighting and the declaration of Jihad on the south” Abdel Rahman Shalgam and many others.

When Egypt is concerned to have Sudan remained united it because of the Water. This vital resource is God gifted to his people. The pain shall go down to blame yourselves the very formers legal advisors on Sudanese matters. Darfur will go soon and the same with South Kordofan, the East and even the Northern part will break away. God will be keeping an eye to those who exploited Sudan for 54 years and give them their fate. The referendum is the climax of South Sudanese.

What is there anyway that makes Egypt a friend to Southern Sudan? They have refused many Southerners resettle in the west and instead resettled them internally so that they may benefit from them.

They have been torturing them to the extent that they used high pressure hoses of hot water against the refugees from Southern Sudan who were residing in their country

Egypt had been backing NCP clandestinely through monetary help, delay in negotiation, asking for Southern referendum to be postponed indefinitely and now pressing Khartoum, in words designed to please Southerners, to indirectly renege on the referendum.

Egypt must be careful or learn a lesson.

      Freedom Fighta,
Mr Ali and his Northern people need to build a good relation with us after secession because they still have one more chance to live with us peacefully along the border; otherwise, we will be another Israel-Palestinian people in the world.

However, I doubt it unless their own circumstances force them to surrender peacefully. They are arrogant people who believe Allah created the world for them alone. Undoubtedly, Islam is factually an intoxicant or a drug which drives people intoxicatingly insane and stupefied when ingested; thus, the users remain irrational since they cannot differentiate between right and wrong owing to its intoxicative power!

I hope our Sudanese Arabs will realize their mistakes and return to Southern Sudanese to apologize. African-Americans and White Americans are finally living together now after the white Americans acknowledged their mistakes and regretted them. Otherwise, we will permanently remain sworn frenemies in the upcoming two Sudans.

I wonder does Egypt want the people of the Southern Sudan to pay ultimate price instead for the sake of fake unity? It would be unfair to blame Omar Hassan Al-Bashir alone for the inevitable secession of the South. All successive governments in Khartoum are to be blamed. Politically speaking, Egypt is to be heavily blamed also. Because, the discussion of Sudan self-determination in 1953 was held in Egypt. They facilitated it and influenced it. To a great surprise, no single Southerner was invited to Egypt to attend and participate in discussion of destiney of Sudan. Was it Omar Al-Bashir leadership style. Shame on Egypt!!!
British is partly to be blamed also. They have unfairly influenced the Juba Conference in 1947. Otherwise, Southern Sudan would have been an idependent state in 1956 along the Norhtern state.

Moreover, Egypt should never talk about Isreal influence in the region. Egypt should preach what it does. It should close down the Isreali Embassy first. What a hypocracy?
The people of South will choose their friends according to best interests of people.

Historically, we did not have any issue with Jewish. I believe there are some similar traditions, customs and cultures among some tribes of Southern Sudan and Jewish people.
Arabs need to get united first in one voice before asking non-Arab nation to boycott nation of Isreal.

Gone the days of our people ingnorance.

Yes, Bashir accepted self-determination for the first time in Sudan’s history since 1992 before the CPA was signed more than ten years later.

We thank his regime for this if that is the main thing you dislike him for.

You supported him killing the people of the South, Darfur, East, Blue Nile and Nuba Mountains, but you hate him for accepting self-determination for the South.

    You are wrong!!!
