    Dear readers,

It is inhumane, crazy and devilish that the independence of South Sudan nation can be received by killing of ministers.

A professional investigation should be carried out and bring the culprits to book. They should be hang in the streets of Juba for the populations to see.

Disgusting that South Sudanese are introducing terrorism.

I believe they are not far from being members of the community of the minister killed.

    Disgusting!

May God rest his soul in eternal peace!

Gov’t minister in South Sudan killed in dispute

KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) — An army spokesman for Southern Sudan says a government minister has been shot dead by his personal driver.

Col. Philip Aguer says that the driver then killed himself.

The cause of Wednesday’s shooting was not immediately clear but appears unrelated to Southern Sudan’s successful independence referendum from the north.

Aguer said the minister and his driver are believed to be related by marriage. He declined to name the minister, pending notification of relatives.

The final results of Southern Sudan’s independence referendum held last month were announced Monday. Nearly 99 percent of southerners voted for secession. The oil-rich south is expected to become the world’s newest nation July 9.

Dear Raan or whoever they called you, i was shocked when i got the news on the assisanation of the Minister yesterday morning at 10:45 AM. When i read the news at the website i got shocked again from your comment that the Dinkas are behind the killing of the Minister.

In fact your name are interested to read but you have nothing in your mind then pointing finger to a particular tribe in Southern Sudan. In Dinka Dilect the meaning of your name is very nice and it means a person with very good vision and respect to his colleagues and the entire population of the nation but in reality you will not be called Raan but called Dog because the way you are giving your conclusions are not in right manner to the population of Southern Sudan by creating the tention between the people of the newest state in the World and make the Dinka and the relatives of the late Minister to be in Dilema and not giving the room to the government of Southern Sudan and find out who is behind this incidence.

I think you might have heard from the BBC news that the minister was killed by the one of his relative and even his brother-in-Law and both of them are from central Equatoria and none of Dinka clan are not the member of the concerned State.

My advise to you is if you are illiterate, then you better go to you your parents for informal education and tech you how you can give your contribution to the communities of Southern Sudan and leave the gaint of this Nation alone to help in rehabilitation of this new Nation and protect you from the internal and external problems

wow, it is very tragic and unfortunate that the minister has been killed. i think we all need orientation starting from government officials downward to us at the grassroot level. we need to respect our people in authority and too they need to respect our dignities. they should not exercise their powers against us at home nor do we want to disobey them when they are charging their duties correctly. Greed will escalate south sudan back to internal conflict. SPLM has aready violated human rights as you can see Emanuel Luga has been severally tortured without reservation for due process to run it course. i would say here now three parties have committed inhumane act, Minister, Luga, and SPLM.

It is not a political assassination but a result of a family problem. It was carried out by an in-law, a driver who had also killed himself according to Ajezeera report.
In South Sudan, citizens are not checked as they entered into government ministerial offices. Somebody with bad intention can enter with a pistol and kill.

What a sad news? It is an opposite to happiness. Killing a Minister? What do people of South Sudan want? If you employ someone far from your relatives to work in your offices then you are seen as selfish by your community and they will reject you and if you try to employ your own relatives you are condemned and as corrupt leaders? Now you see the fate of the Minister. It is very sad.

Now what measures are there to secure the lives of the rest of the Ministers? We do not want such inccidents to happen again otherwise NCP will be celebrating their predictions. And this was really why i opposed the celebration of Northern Separatist by Killing a black bull in hypocratic support for Separation of the South Sudan. That slaughtering of black bulls was all thoughts of witchcrafts and casting dark, devils hearted persons to the Land of South Sudan.

      May God rest his soul.

What I can say losing any southern VIP soul in this time is a big lost for our country, its give bad name to our country a big chance to enemy to say we told you those people cannot govern themselves. Is this country is going to be failure state? The assassinated of this minister is like you push me down I will not fall alone I will take you with me. How come minister have to have only one bodyguard? And how driver can enter minister office shot him when he can do it in the car? all these questions need answers. Those corrupt ministers who employe their relatives deserve whatever may happen to them. They even take their ministerial authority upto thier homes and dictate their relatives. The man snatched the gun from the bodyguard of them minister, killed the bodyguard, marched in and kill the minister, and at last he killed himself. The game is over. who will you investigate and brought to book? Those ministers must change,or else, they must die.

Please brothers let us not make the international community get tire of us and draw their support from us.In the end political assassinations are not sure solutions to our internal disputes or differences. Finally my condulence to the southern sudan at large and GoSS in particular and above all to his family. The guy was minister driver thats meant he was not that stupid other wise he couldn’t got the job. Why they didn’t pay him for two months , and why they sake him without payment south Sudan should have to protect workers. Minister are not getting their payment every month? Minister did have a bodyguard, but what kind of bodyguard we are talking about here? I heard the bodyguard was 63 years old man, and 63 old African man without proper training he cannot even carry for 5 minutes. AK47 that kind of gun it was not made for that kind of jobs . Bodyguards should use small guns well trained. In south Sudan all of them carrying Ak47 and they call them bodyguards. We need to send our children to Israel for VIP bodyguard training because they are the best. I will make south Sudan safe place for all of you. vote for me in next election.

This action is disturbing indeed. But not surprised because our people still coping with emotional stress. They don’t think before taking any action. Also, ignorant has play a big part in this incident I believe. The minister should have alert his security personel after the dispute with his in-laws.

Anyway, let us hope for the better after independent. My heartfelt condolence goes to the deceased families and may God rest their spirits in peace. Please, let us refrain from jumping to conclusion. This is an isolated incident so there is no need to blame any one.

First My condolency goes to all the Family and freinds of the late Minister.

Secondly I would aadvise my President to target not Agriculture,Education and health first,as the primary building blocks for our newly born nation, but the priority number one should be given to first things first-like equal distribution power, resources and justice for all.

Can you imagine a nation where power is held by almost few individuals and one tribe, leaving some tribes without even a chairperson of commmision to experience what kind of circumstance?

Think of key ministries of the government like Defence,Interior,Finance,Foreign Affairs,Bank, Judiciary, chief security and the Deputy speaker of the parliament..etc...in the hand of one tribe.
We all fought in war and voted in referendum without discrimination, why not sharing our powers without discrimination if we want a consolidated Country?

Now we are going to form a transitional government in which I urge all the oppressors to unite themselves for transition of inequality of the pre-interim and interim priod to the south Sudan of equality, Justice,Democracy and prosperity for all, as avoid assinations and rebelions.

First and foremost, my sincerest condolence goes to the very family of late Jimmy Lemi Milla. It’s far more disheartening not only for Mr. Milla’s family, but also for all of us. He was a right wingman in The Government of Southern Sudan and assassinating him so swiftly is unprincipled and unacceptable as well.

What should Juba’s officials need to learn from this hideous act? Well, there are numerous things that require admonishment given the afermath of Jimmy Lemi Milla’s assassination: 1)The Government of Southern Sudan needs to introduce some series of security measures in all the government’s institutions. 2) All the Ministers, Governors, SPLA’s Generals, Chairpersons, Undersecretaries, and much more should not always turn deaf ears to all citizens of South Sudan. 3) Our government bossess need to abolish their unprofessional and dehumanized behaviors, for it’s contributing to annoyances and irritations to the citizens in Juba and even beyond. Let me stop here because there are many lessons, which South Sudan needs to learn any way.

    Dear readers,

It is insane, inhumane, satanic and foolish for somebody to kill a public figure as a way of expression of anger or disappointment. That is cowardice act to say the least!

South Sudanese, you are given freedom of expression to peacefully air out what may have disappointed some of you either through newspapers and other media outlets such as this website (Sudan Tribune).

You can criticize politicians, call for their removal through elections or through parliament or presidential decrees like the removal of those two corrupt ministers of finance in the past.

You are free to senselessly criticize some of them and even insult them, but please, please, NEVER and NEVER resort to killing our officials as a way of expression of anger or disappointment.!!!

    NEVER do that!

It is very stupid, foolish and insane way of building a nation and making positive changes.

Don’t introduce terrorism in South Sudan!

South Sudanese are culturally known for fighting open battles in the field and that is where they cause harm, but not through lynching and cold blood murders.

I don’t know what is wrong with this community called Pojulu of Central Equatoria state. Last time they wanted to assassinate late Samson Kwaje and actually shot him on the road.

The same community’s member is now the one who assassinated their own son, late Jimmy Lemi Milla. What is wrong with you people?

Stop it! It is insane and cowardice!

Don’t you understand that the authorities can use this stupid action of assassination as a wakeup call to take away some of your freedoms? Disgusting!

If that stupid assailant opted to expose whatever disappointed him through newspapers or this website, may be the late minister would have responded positively and resolve whatever differences they might have had. But now that he has killed him, what will he gain? Instead he will also die like him.

I recommend that this foolish assailant be hang on a tree in a main street in Juba for people to see for the whole day with a written note on his body which reads “First South Sudan Terrorist.”

His body should not be buried either, but thrown into the Nile for crocodiles to eat that stupid flesh.

    Disgusting behavior!

Gatwech I am very impress with your recent comments this time we want to help our people not by criticises them and we Nuer are not good to preaches differences among entire tribal instead to bring them to democratic and this message would have goes to any Nuer who participating on this web because this live would not help at all. About other community particular Dinka Bor we would not able to stop them when they are against Nuer or believes on Ngundeng prophecies that why they pay the price of when they had steal Ngundeng food from ( Nalop trees in Arabic) (tuach thow ka in Nuer) until Ngundeng cures them by saying that my food will appeare in stealer’s teeth that why you can’t see two or three Dinka Bor people without missing teeth. About dhol gandol I will let you know when I get time it is also about Dinka Bor when they had attack Nuer Drunig Ngundeng generation but now I am busy.
