Western Equatoria State is part of the Greater Equatoria Region in South Sudan. The state shares international borders with Central Africa Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Within South Sudan Western Equatoria State borders Warrap, Western Bahr el Ghazal and Lakes states to the north and Central Equatoria State to the west.
