Position: Member of Parliament in South Sudan’s National Legislative Assembly

Career:

Acuil was one of 75 senior South Sudanese officials who received a letter from President Salva Kiir asking that $4 billion in stolen money be returned.

Acuil and the former minister of petroleum in Khartoum, Lual Deng, were - as on 22 July 2012 the only two among the more than 75 officials who publicly announced that they received the confidential letter from the President.

They have both asked the rest of their colleagues to reveal their identities.
